Pros: Before you read my comment please know that I am a regular traveler and a very picky guy. I have booked the luxury room with fireplace. every thing was just amazing!!. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The view was extraordinary and breath taking on that private balcony in my room. And specking about the room, words can’t describe how great, luxurious and special it was. It is by far the best hotel experience I have ever had. btw, the restaurant in the hotel has TWO michelin stars ! Don’t miss it out.

Cons: The breakfast was not what I would expect for E25! It was much better in other 5* hotels that I have stayed in - mainly pre-cooked hot food rather than cooked to order, pastries not warm, staff not friendly, no offer of a top-up of coffee (the staff in other areas of the hotel were much friendlier, however).

Cons: The hotel is not adapted for the summer season, only for the winter. The duvets are very heavy for summer, the rooms are very stuffy even if the windows are open. There is no air conditioning, which is dissatisfying. Is a five star hotel really a five star hotel without air conditioning? They provide you with fans but they are insufficient. Also, since we have to open the windows at night, it gets very noisy early in the morning which makes us wake up earlier than preferred as we are on our summer vacation and we want to relax. Junior suites differ in size, some of them have bigger balconies and smaller rooms, and some of them otherwise.

Cons: We paid €547 a night, the room had no air conditioner! It was so stuffy and we kept the windows openall night but the outlook was dreadful and it was noisy. They gave us a weak fan which helped a bit but said none of the rooms had air Conditioners! What a pity as it means we probably won’t stay there again. Also we enquired at the hotel restaurant and were shown the menu but were told it was fully booked. However upon returning from our walk at around 8.45 the restaurant was empty .... this seems strange as it offers a restaurant. NOT value for money and no apology or discount for a very uncomfortable night.

Pros: an amazing hotel! we were really happy we decided to stay there foe 3 days. the staff were very helpful with every question we had on the hotel or even about things to do in the city or around it. the room was very nice and clean and we had a view for the "AGUILE DE MIDI" gondola and the mountain so the view from our balcony was amazing! the spa was really good - a nice pool and hot tub , a very nice wet and dry sauna and hamam and they thought about every last detail in the spa so we tried to go there every day after we returned from hiking. in our last day they allowed my wife to take a shower in a special shower they had for guests who already did a checkout and so we could travel in our last day and take a shower before our flight home. in the lobby you have a bar with still and sparkling water taps for your own use and a coffee machine and some tables to sit , a very nice place to sit and relax when you come back from hiking. AMAZING HOTEL!

Pros: an amazing hotel! we were really happy we decided to stay there foe 3 days. the staff were very helpful with every question we had on the hotel or even about things to do in the city or around it. the room was very nice and clean and we had a view for the "AGUILE DE MIDI" gondola and the mountain so the view from our balcony was amazing! the spa was really good - a nice pool and hot tub , a very nice wet and dry sauna and hamam and they thought about every last detail in the spa so we tried to go there every day after we returned from hiking. in our last day they allowed my wife to take a shower in a special shower they had for guests who already did a checkout and so we could travel in our last day and take a shower before our flight home. in the lobby you have a bar with still and sparkling water taps for your own use and a coffee machine and some tables to sit , a very nice place to sit and relax when you come back from hiking. AMAZING HOTEL!

Cons: The room was hot and very stuffy especially at night. The bed was very uncomfortable. I barely slept. They boast they can pre book tickets for the cable car- but they can’t in the off season apparently. Reception staff when we arrived were unclear and not particularly helpful. However the rest were good.

Pros: The hotel is new, rooms are cozy and bathrooms are new and well decorated. The location is nice if you want to spend a weekend in Chamonix. Staff overall polite.
Cons: It feels like the management of this hotel doesn’t take care of things. The elevator was 3 days without light and they didn’t even care to put a torch or temporary light for safety reasons. The cleaning lady cleaned out room at 3.30pm while we wanted to rest! The spa had an empty bar where it was supposed to have tea to relax. The room had no mini bar and it was very hot- they was no air con. We were thirsty the whole time and when we went to the bar downstairs we had to wait for long to ask for a glass of water. It is the typical case where you see that the owner invested money for the infrastructure but the management is very poor. The hotel price was TOO expensive for low season so obviously the expectation was equivalent.

Pros: Adjacent to Aiguiille du midi lift so very handy to go up before the crowds. Hotel sort lift passes for you. Had half board menu which was excellent value and enabled us to have anything from a la carte menu although a few items had small supplement. There were daily specials of a starter, main fish dish and main meat dish. Good leisure facilities a bonus. Liked having kettle/coffee machine/supplies in room plus hot /cold drink facilities 24 hours in reception.
Cons: Desert menu could benefit from a daily special as only around 5 items on meny which if you stayed 1 or 2 weeks would be repetitive dependent on tastes. Chef did provide a daily extra desert for all diners but again this was repetitive.

The staff are truly kind, down to earth, and eager to help! They found my partner's wallet in the robe after we had checked out and were wonderful in getting it back to us! They also were gracious enough to hold onto our luggage on our last day while we went shopping around town! The spa can be privately reserved for 1 hour increments which made the experience intimate and sweet. I purchased an additional massage from a fabulously talented masseuse, and would highly recommend her services!

Cons: There is no refrigerator in the room so we have to leave our fruits and yogurt outside on the balcony. Also, the bathroom is not well designed that water always flows on the floor. Last, the house cleaner took away our room card on the first day and mugs on the second day, and just left the balcony door opened during the whole day when we were not in the room, which is not safe

Train is 5 minutes walk. Staff excellent, friendly, helpful. I enjoyed the restaurant food.

Cons: Room was a tad small but I was there alone and it wasn’t very expensive so I found it a fair deal for the price. I’m sure there’s bigger rooms available if need be. But I went with the cheapest room because I was traveling alone.

Cons: A lovely hotel, close to L' aguille du Midi, with private free parking, good breakfast and everything you need to feel comfortable! We spent two wonderful days here and a special sunday up on the panoramic tour to Mont Blanc!

Pros: This was my 3rd stay here. The room was quiet, and I had a very good sleep. The staff is always helpful and smiling. There was enough space for storing all my clothes and stuff, which is not the case with the classic rooms (this one was Superior room). The internet was very fast all the time, which is quite surprising for hotels. The hotel is located about 3 minutes by walk from the city centre, which is perfect and really convenient.

Pros: When I arrived at the hotel my son was very ill and I was distraught. I needed a doctor at least or a hospital. The staff was helpful but I wished they had had a shuttle and could have taken me to the hospital but they didn’t. He called a taxi for me and we waited (and then paid 20 euro for a ride that was under a mile). My other son stayed at the hotel and the room was made ready for him quickly and he was shown where to store all our luggage until I returned. We returned later in the day from the hospital,(my son had a virus) the room was comfortable and he remained in bed until his fever and pain went away. The location was great because it was right beside the train station and walking distance to everything.

Pros: This was my 3rd stay here. The room was quiet, and I had a very good sleep. The staff is always helpful and smiling. Cons: The cleanliness should be a little bit better. The bathroom was perfectly clean, however the room wasn't. The shelves in the closets were dusty and little bit dirty, and the walls in the room really need a new paint - there were full of strains from previous guests. Also, the lift was not working, which might be a problem if you have heavy baggage. The entrance to the 2nd building also needs renovation, as it looks awful and half-destroyed, even if the interior of the building is modern and very nice.

Cons: Our room, in the annexe across the road, was oddly shaped with inadequate storage and a minimalist shower room. The plastic floorboards were not very pleasant to walk on but they were not slippery. If you could get into the shower, squeezing through the gap between the glass wall and the tiled wall (not too difficult for the slim and fit, but hard for an older man with a bad back) the floor was incredibly slippery and dangerous. There were no grab rails or non stick mats (which are horrible, but in this case we needed one) so this shower was inappropriate for all ages. We asked for more hangers which made the storage less awkward (brought very quickly by a cheerful and helpful member of staff) but cannot think how we would have managed if we had booked the room for a week's skiing instead of a weekend wedding. Accor should design their accommodation better than this: it was uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. The bed was good, though, as were the windows and the heating.

Cons: We were in a building across the street that was under construction. At first I thought I was in the wrong place - since it was full of workers and I couldn’t find the elevator! The room was nice though and location was good. Too bad we weren’t in the fancy main building but it was just a night.

Cons: It’s not Mercure standard. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The room was not what I had paid for but they were very begrudging about changing it. Both buildings and undergoing a superficial facelift which means nothing is quite finished and it feels as if you’re living in a construction site. The following night we stayed at La Folie Deuce for half the price in luxury.
