Guy at reception was very helpful
There is no way this is a three start property No USB ports in room No alarm clock Air con made a mechanical noise Sink drain stunk like sewer when I ran the tap
Reception staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke a lot of English. The overall location is not what you would expect from a beachside offering as it is on a major and fast road into Catania, but once you cross over the road you have free access to a nearby beach club which great; lovely loungers, sea and sand, and quite good food. Bathroom had recently been refurbished. Easily accessible from the city centre by bus so you can go back into Catania for dinner, which is advisable.
It is located right on a busy road; room 19 was right next to it as was the pool which meant you heard traffic noise the whole time. Wifi did not reach this room, the pillows were not comfortable, the breakfast functional (cold eggs, bacon and sausages). Overall, underwhelming. If the beach were not a couple of minutes away there would be little reason to stay there, and therefore not good value for money.
It was handy for a one night stay after a late flight into Catania. The room was basic and functional but did the job for our purpose. The staff were very friendly and lovely and went out of their way to try and arrange a drink or food for us after we asked them about eating.
It cost 25euro for a taxi there and when we got there it was late- there was no place nearby to get food/drink because it was so late- it’s out of town and in a quiet part of the city. There was a bar however there was no one in it and it was eerily quiet so we didn’t bother. There was a strange smell of drains around the reception.
Lovely Staff very friendly especially Nino and Christian always on hand to help us ....making it a very enjoyable stay! Near to a nice private beach just across the road free sun loungers with good restaurant there too Bus into Catania stops outside every hour or so ( bit erratic but only 1 Euro!)
Breakfast was ok with scrambled eggs and bacon but not much fresh fruit and just 2 cereals offered
Some staff were very unhelpful when we told them our water had been turned off without notice. An older, Male member of staff told us it was not his problem! A more professional lady sorted it out. Noisy roadworks outside our room spoiled our time there.
