It is a very quaint place with lots of interesting big old wooden beds and furniture. The staff is very young and very eager to please. The restaurant served delicious food, well prepared and made from scratch. The location is quiet.
The bed was very comfortable, but a bit too high to climb into! The soaking bathtub a nice touch - we used it after every hike
Housekeeping - on the second day they didn’t wash the cups and coffee maker we used nor wiped the bathroom countertop; just made the bed. We also had to ask for more coffee - they didn’t check there was only decaf left
Not the cleanest, nothing provided like water. Nowhere to hang clothes, nothing provided to press clothes. Wifi very poor.
Staff err extremely understanding and helpful when our flight was rescheduled meaning we had to alter our booking
The restaurant was good and the waiter was friendly and nice and the fish and chips were good but a tad costly.
The room was small, no drawers for clothes, so the suitcases laid open on the floor leaving it cramped with no room to walk. The closet only had 6 hangers and very small for two people. Clothes got wrinkled and there was no iron in the room. The bathroom was small and a person had a hard time getting in and out of the shower as the shower door kept hitting the toilet.. The bed was lumpy, pillows rock hard and couldn’t be used and the sheets didn’t fit properly and kept coming off - the sheets were dusty smelling and obviously dirty. There was no ice buckets and we had to go to the restaurant for pitchers of ice. The cleaners were the worse we’ve ever encountered. They made the bed and changed the towels but no cleaning was done even after we asked for clean glasses and for Dirty ones to be taken away. We asked for them to come back and finish the cleaning including spot cleaning the dirty floor. When we pulled out the desk to play cards on, it was filthy. The front desk promised someone would come immediately but they never showed. Three days of no cleaning was totally a disgrace especially when we paid over 400.00 a night. The front desk staff were not helpful or pleasant. They were unable to give us answers to questions we asked and were not willing to find the answers. This inn was rated very high but a huge disappointment for our special romantic weekend. We will never return there!
