Pros: This cheery B&B is just a gem in the heart of Magog! We loved the bright colors, the charming spaces, and the superb hospitality of the hosts Marie-Eve and Maxime. And the breakfast was stellar - perhaps the best we had on our whole trip - including a cheese-course featuring cheeses from the local abbey. Convenient walking distance to downtown Magog and other scenic activities, plus a great location for exploring the Eastern Townships more broadly.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location to walk to town. Parking behind the building. Huge bathroom with lots of thoughtful extras like bathrobes, plenty of towel hangers (my biggest complaint usually in high end hotels). Wood floors in our room and slippers. And as others all said, breakfast was a 12 out of 10. Fun time talking to other guests and owners during breakfast.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were great and the 5 course breakfast was outstanding. Au Coeur de Magog is a block from downtown and only several blocks from the beach and bike trail.

Pros: Each room had a balcony and individual entrance. The breakfasts were spectacular! The hosts, Nicole and Michel were lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is less than five hours away, you feel like you are in France, the exchange rate is a 25% discount and there are three Alpine skiing choices and a national parc all within a few miles. In addition, Magog, floods the walkways so you can skate on the side walks along the lac. We go almost every year. The food at the B-B was awesome and it is only a short one block walk to several great restaurants.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nicole and Michel are amazing and friendly hosts. The five-course breakfasts were absolutely delicious and filling - most days we were able to skip lunch. Very centrally located.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Au Coeur de Magog B&B is a true pearl. I loved everything, Nicole and Michel are wonderful hosts, the establishment is clean and cosy, and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding! I wished we had stayed longer and was very thankful for all the recommendations they gave us for restaurants and places to see in the area.
Cons: I loved everything! Being the epicurean that I am, the breakfast was so amazing that I would recommend offering mimosa made with local bubbles as an option to accompany the food ;)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is run by a great and friendly couple who can give lots of recommendations for activities and side trips in the area. The breakfast is by far the best we have had in any BnB, with good selection and wonderful presentation using local products. It's just a nice way to start each day and even saved us a bit of money because we didn't need lunch. Our room was very cozy and the perfect size with a nice comfortable bed and a big bathroom and great shower. The location is just a block away from the main area of town so it's very convenient. Separate entrance is really nice for privacy reasons. Definitely recommended for all types of travelers!
Cons: We really couldn't think of anything to put as a negative, which is definitely a first. This was one of the best Bed and Breakfasts we have stayed at in the world (and we have stayed at a lot of them).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts went above and beyond and the breakfast was delectable. We are already talking about going back next year.
Cons: Nothing could have been better

Pros: Pascal ALWAYS served an outstanding breakfast, including home-made croissants every morning. Plan on returning with a little "more baggage" than on arrival:~). The location was fantastic. I could walk to the train station, the ship dock, and the park. Pascal and Celine were very cordial and helpful. 'Twas the less stressful trip abroad I've ever taken.

Pros: My stay at Au Virage was perfect. I was there during a cold snap and I couldn't have received a warmer welcome! Pascal was wonderful: helpful and friendly, and his made-to-order breakfasts were outstanding. He upgraded my room for free and gave me some great advice on places to eat and drink in town. Au Virage is almost literally a stone's throw from the centre of town so I was able to forget about my car for the weekend and walk everywhere. I hope I can come back and experience Magog in the summer.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: We arrived late and had called to inform the owners of this. In addition we were having to leave early in the morning and had requested something to take with us as we would miss breakfast. The owner refused so we paid for a bed for 5 hours. We should have at least been offered a refund or had the owners been more hospitable they could have put a muffin and some fruit in a bag - not much to ask. We won't stay here again. We spent the second night at Au Saut du lit which exceeded out expectations on all fronts.

Pros: Located close to the waterfront, quiet, and comfortable. Proprietors were very helpful and friendly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool in the back was a fantastic bonus for us on some very warm days. Also impressed with ideas given to us by our host (though we had our own agenda so did not use them). Discount cards for dinner were much appreciated. Also liked the outdoor roof patio we used for one meal we ate at home. Thanks!
Cons: Host seemed to be a heavy smoker (though he was always far enough away from guests). This was very off-putting to my children who are extremely opposed to smoking. We are very casual in terms of breakfast. It was a bit too “glamorous” and staged for us. Just a preference at breakfast to have it more relaxed until the coffee enters our veins.

Pros: Our stay at Auberge Les Pignons Verts was fantasist from start to finish. The house is beautiful and well located with a spectacular view of Lake Magog and the mountains to the south. This was a short romantic getaway for us from the city to the peace and quiet of the Eastern Townships. It was exactly what we had hoped for. The facilities very clean and well maintained. The food amazing with some local touch to make it even more enjoyable. Every small detail had been carefully thought out by Héléne and Gordon, the owners. Both were helpful in providing advise on activates in the area and making the necessary arrangements, as needed. In the close vicinity there are fine restaurants (mostly in Magog) and cute small towns with interesting history that are worth exploring. Few minutes away is also the Bolton Spa that is well worth visiting for a few hours. All and all a fantastic Auberge (B&B) Big thanks to Héléne and Gordon

Pros: The breakfast was delicious. Robert was an interesting host.
Cons: Construction and trains all night long (no sleep) ---- apparently until December 2019. Hard, lumpy pillows caused neck pain. Stiff bed. Overly hot bedroom. Cons: As guests on the first floor, we felt "on top" of their private living space. We were adjacent to their kitchen and living area.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location very close to restaurants etc. downtown. Very attentive and thoughtful hosts.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast in a beautiful sunroom. Friendly and helpful hosts. Location allows for walking to restaurants and waterfront.
Cons: In our room the shower was located under a stairwell so was difficult to enter. There were many different elevations in this room that could trip you up.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were lovely. The breakfast was exceptionally good. The location was great for walking out with shops, grocery store, beach park and restaurants near by. Pierre had some good suggestions for interesting outings. It was a very pleasant stay.
Cons: everything was great with the accommodations. The entire downtown area was under construction which made it difficult to truly enjoy this lovely community.

Pros: Charming Victorian B&B with welcoming hosts. The 2 room suite we had was perfect for a family. We had access to a small kitchen where we had snacks and a table for card games. Our host customized breakfast for our 6 year old twin granddaughters who loved the buckwheat pancakes. The location allowed us to walk to Main Street and Lake Magog. All in all a perfect stay!

We were within a short walking distance to all restaurants, waterfront promenade, stores and SAQ!

Pros: Louise and Richard were more than excellent hosts. The breakfast was delightfu and original (crepe, banana cake and other things) and lots of superb advice on what to see in the region. The room was warm and more than sufficient. There was a great wifi connection with parking on site. Would love to return.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The people in magog are sooo good and the atmosphere in this hotel is so welcoming. Wifi is good, toilet is very clean. Breakfast is made of love.
Cons: need to walk in the freezing weather to the town centre, altough it is only less than 10mins walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners were super hospitable, relaxed, and fun. They were happy to make the experience what you wanted it to be. The bedroom and washroom were spotless. Location was on the edge of town so everything was walkable. Above all, the breakfast was spectacular. They accommodated vegetarian and gluten-free dietary restrictions happily. Overall, close to perfect experience!
Cons: If anything, maybe that the bedrooms were in such close quarters, but each room feels intimate unto itself, so it's hard to say this affected our thoughts on the property significantly, if at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was quaint and lovely. The hosts were outstanding

Pros: Everything was perfect in this charming old property with so much history! The owner, a young woman, is equally charming and makes sure her guests have everything they need. The room was very spacious, well-appointed, with a super comphy bed and pillows. Lots of thick towels and a bathrobe, were particularly nice.

Pros: Friendly staff, small boutique accommodations, lovely breakfast!
Cons: Bathrooms were small and bathroom products could use an upgrade. Noisy fridge in room.
6.7 Good
Pros: Beds were really comfy.
Cons: No soap in dispensers and bit tired all over.
7.5 Good
Pros: The Hot Tub and steam room in the basement. The history of the building given to us by the owner.
Cons: The bathroom could use an update, bathtub too small.

Pros: Location was good. It was easy to find and there was lots of parking. Restaurants etc were an easy walk away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old historic home, the room was spacious and lovely, bed was comfy, and staff was great. Really close to town centre, bike path, and amenities.
Cons: The breakfast could use a step up in quality. Perhaps aim for quality over quantity? There are some great local bakeries and local produce that would be better than store bought, and at a similar price point.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is absolutely stunning! It looks like a magnificent, Second Empire mansion. It is also very well situated in town and an under 10 minute walk to the lake, beaches and downtown. There are great indoor and outdoor spas and relaxation areas and the continental breakfast included exceeded our expectations. The staff was warm and welcoming and kindly accomodated our check-in and check-out requests. We LOVED out stay and the best for all we got. Thank you, Château du Lac!

Pros: Liked the front porch.
Cons: Didn't like a surveillance camera in the kitchen. No host on property. No literature or local information. Needs a light on the front porch so you can see the entry keypad.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our room had a big deck. We were only there one night as this was a stop on our drive back to the USA. It would have be a lovely relaxing place to spend a few days
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well positioned property with full services including kitchen and wifi. Comfortable bed and quality linen and fittings.
Cons: English signage could be better. There was none.
6.3 Good
Pros: Lovely character home with a private bathroom for every room. The breakfast was superb!Everything one could want. There was fresh fruit, yogurt, bread Products, Tuna, eggs hard boiled, juice, jams, cheeses, and a specialty coffee maker, plus teas and hot chocolate. The ‘Anytime breakfast’ policy was so enjoyable! The common areas were very comfortable and welcoming. We did not use the hot tub because the weather was cold and rainy, but in the summertime, it would’ve been a spectacular yard to use.
Cons: Sadly this property uses fragrant products in their laundry soaps. It meant the bedding was intolerable to those who are sensitive. Truly there is no reason why they cannot use sent free products thereby accommodating those with allergy issues. For those with mobility issues, it is good to know that there are a number of stairs up into the house, and most of the rooms are in the upper floors. In our house-which they call a pavilion – there were only two rooms on the main floor. However, both of these rooms were subject to noise from the workings of the house. Most importantly, it is good to know that this house is on a busy highway, not a street, not a road, a three Lane commercial-highway! The property has two houses -one on the busy highway, and one on a quiet side street which includes free parking. Be sure to ask for the pavilion Abbot when you book. I reserved one room in the pavilion Abbot, but arrived to find that I had been moved to the pavilion Mary -which is the house on the busy highway, with restricted street parking, or the option to pay five dollars each night to park across the street. I suspect that guests-who arrived earlier - had complained about the noise of the highway, and were moved to the quieter house and specifically, into my reserved room. Our efforts to resolve this was a negative experience. Best to confirm which room you will be paying for -as this property takes pre-payment several days before arrival. It seems they then can alter the room you paid for. This is a lovely getaway if you can tolerate chemical fragrances, multiple stairs, and noise from a busy highway at the doorstep.
7.5 Good
Pros: Enjoyed outside hot tub and the area around house. Kitchen and living area very unique.
Cons: Could not figure out coffee pot. Breakfast not what we expected but ok.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quaint and homely accommodation. Close to services, quiet and well-appointed.
Cons: I found the French only signage a little confusing. English translations would have helped greatly given I arrived late at night and after the front desk and helpline had closed.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice and clean
Cons: No staff on site, awful do it yourself breakfast with very limited options. Nothing warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy, great location, loved the Abbott house. The staff was incredibly helpful changing our reservation at the last minute. The self serve breakfast was a great idea.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was good. Ground floor room.
Cons: Having to go outside to access breakfast room. Tiny sink in bathroom with shelf over top making it difficult to brush teeth or wash face!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was not helpful at check in. She had an attitude and we were confused about 2 rooms located in different buildings. Beyond that, we loved the inn.

Pros: Friendly and accommodating owner. Great service!!!!
6.7 Good
Pros: We have stayed here many times and the location is really good. It's very close to the skating path and we enjoyed that. The rooms are simple but clean. Check-in was friendly and welcoming. They provided a kettle for my daughter who likes to have a cup of tea.
Cons: They did our rooms even though we specifically did not put the sign on the doors to have the rooms made up. This felt a little invasive. We stayed here with our adult daughter and her boyfriend - they had their own room next to ours. When we were checking out one of the owners was quite rude with both of them. She was saying something about the smell and not smoking in the rooms. talking to them like she was their mother. We had made it clear to our daughter they were not to smoke in the rooms and we know they stepped out to smoke. They understood there was to be no smoking in the rooms and they assured us they had not smoked in their room. Our family is mindful to be respectful of others. The smell was probably on their coats and therefore they were accused unfairly. Also because they are young and often targeted just because of their age. It's a shame that they were treated this way as it really ended our trip on a sour note. Even though we have often stayed here, we are not sure we will return.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is a 5 minute walk to downtown and sits in a very nice neighborhood. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: A shelf in the shower would be nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The glass wine glasses and real coffee mugs were an unexpected pleasure as was the in room microwave.
Cons: The walls are a little thin.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and nicely presented. Beds were very comfortable and able to sleep well. We were super impressed with both our rooms. Thank you, highly recommend to anyone looking for a motel in the area.

Pros: Close to everything!!!
Cons: Air conditioning was poor and noisy!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice small motel, next to walking trail and park.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Magog deserves more publicity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and comfortable . Walking distance to restaurants, nice touches in the room like luggage rack, Kleenex, cotton swabs, full length mirror. Great little market next door that had fresh fruit, vegetables, deli sandwiches, dinner and frozen foods, pantry items, drinks, beer and ice.
Cons: Someone parked in our assigned spot. Sunlight blaring in our eyes in the very early a.m. Needs black out curtains instead of a blind.

Pros: The staff was very helpful. The location was fabulous! You could walk everywhere - the park across the street with water on both sides of it, to the town, where there was a street with tons of restaurants. We loved Chez Benito restaurant right next door. Pros: Location was great and close to some wonderful shops and restaurants. It was too cold to walk around outside though

Pros: Location. Skating path and hot tub were great. Amazing view!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view and outsider patio terrace were wonderful! The towels were luxurious!
Cons: The bed was a little saggy and the douvet was too heavy. Could update the bedding!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel including the additional amenities were excellent. The location was perfect.
Cons: The facility was excellent and the grounds were perfectly groomed, however all of the patios from each room on the ground floor had several weeks growing between the patio slaps. Given all of the excellent amenities it was a surprise that the patio areas off the rooms were not maintained to the same level as the rest of the property.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the people walking, running, exercising, cycling and swimming just outside my private balcony. An interesting show!
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Bed was awful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view is fantastic. The room was quite cosy with two good seats. The renovated bathroom was very pleasant with an amazing shower.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was excellent although quite pricey. The location could not have been better, just opposite the lovely Lac Memphremagog.
Cons: The hotel needs a good revamp. The carpets in the hall, some furniture in some rooms. The first room we were given was at the far end in the adjoining building and the room was pitiful. Stains on the carpet, sofa frayed, balcony filthy with cobwebs and the balcony chair ripped. They were pleasant enough to move us in the main building with a much better room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room and halls need updating ... felt more like a motel. Not what I expected at this price point ... yet view was spectacular
Cons: Room and halls need updating ... felt more like a motel. Not what I expected at this price point ... yet view was spectacular

7.9 Good
Pros: This was a fine little hotel, we stayed two nights. There was no check in desk per se, we walked right into the restaurant and they gave us a key. We had drinks and ate our morning snack on the mini terrace outside our room. We had the room next to the restaurant and appreciated that even thought the it seemed pretty busy on Friday and Saturday night, we could not hear anything from inside our room and we slept well in the comfortable beds. Next time we will plan to have dinner there too, as it seems like gourmet cooking and has a good reputation from the locals. There was no staff around at check out and I had to call to different numbers to confirm if I lock the key in the room at check out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was another hotel we actually have stayed in a few times. I didn't ask if it's new owners...But it's a new name, and I was told the Name changed Nov 2017. We were OVERJOYED because we've stayed here all times (except one) it was FULL ;( lol So it's our go to hotel*!! This was an impromptu trek, as most of ours are, because of our work schedules, and being only 4 hours away, it's a great trek for a few days! Beds are so comfy as well as the duvet, pillows. If you love cable tv..there's plenty of CA/USA programs for those who care. The bathrooms are clean, updated. The wifi...could be alot better, they need an upgrade. But we didn't stay at the hotel 24/7 so it was okay for us. Extra blankets if needed. Private where they placed us in the back near the bistro area=we loved it! We're planning on another trek shortly..maybe this weekend...and it will be here. It's close to everything, yet far enough..quiet, peaceful. We love it here! Ty!
Cons: Everything is excellent!

Cons: Room was not very clean. Wifi did not work. TV did not work, either. There was nobody around to ask for help during the day (only in the evening when the restaurant was open).
