Pros: Cleanliness and hospitality of staff members

Cons: This was by far my best ever trip to Goa in 36 years and I have been to Goa at least 15 times. To start with , a BIG thank you to Preeti from the reservations team for all the assistance, assurance and guidance. We arrived at the property with our 9 month old son and were a bit nervous considering it was his first trip to Goa but the TAJ hospitality experience at other properties gave my wife and me comfort. At the reception we were given a brilliant warm welcome and Aditi, Bhagat, Rucha and Valenco are to thank for that, their helped us and made sure our son felt comfortable. THE VIEW FROM THE LOBBY IS BREATHTAKING, ESPECIALLY THE TWO MINI-LAWNS THAT WATCH OVER THE ARABIAN SEA. We were booked in the Garden View Cottage and the drive up to the cottage was giving me butterflies(I was excited like a baby), the view got better with every meter and the walk is rustic with all the plants around. The cottage was WAY BEYOND what I had expected with our own lawn and hammock. They had already placed a cot with balloons for our son and he had a super time in it. The cottages are huge and comforting, they spell luxury in every inch, the mattress is  extremely comfortable and makes for a cozy nights sleep with the powerful AC blazing. The bathroom is well designed and the bath tub was my favorite area. A cake welcomed us and well it was delicious. Coming to the cleaning and house-keeping, a special mention to Vishal Singh who made sure our room was cleaned no matter what time we asked and every amenity was refilled, at one point I was like "don't spoil me so much". This was by far the best I have every stayed in; the cottages are a little far from the the reception but that is the CHARM of the space, walking on the steps along the uphill trail amidst chirping birds, butterflies and squirrels. Making the stay even more memorable was Abigail and Nupur, these two ladies were alert, warm and hospitable to the other level.

Pros: The property is simply amazing right from the rooms to its view to it's delicious food and also the staff. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I simply loved the fresh mornings. The beach is also very much accessible from the property and is also less crowded. The cottages are simply awesome and well maintained.

Cons: There is nothing which I didn't like but If you are booking here I would recommend to go for cottage than the basic room.

Pros: Our villa was fabulous, breakfast is amazing. Tanmay, the manager at the restaurant was super - professional, highest levels of customer service.

Cons: We were given a really bad cottage - when we protested we were given a great villa. Not sure how anyone can stay in that cottage with no views of anything and a really small room. Restaurants are freezing as the air conditioning is too high.

Pros: Location. Staff. Garden. Sea view.

Cons: Hotel facilities old. Needs change of furniture and renovation. Breakfast ordinary. Pool old and too small.

Pros: Staff were attentive and friendly and any concerns were addressed immediately

Cons: Paid for a premium sea view room. Our view was partially obscured by trees. The room overlooks the staff work area below which was covered but still spoiled the ambience. A lot of renovation was being done and the main bar was closed. This was not mentioned in the website which we were looking forward to going. Our room was constantly cold because of a draught through the windows and there were many insects that came into the room every night. This was cleaned by staff when asked but there were hundreds of them. Felt it was highly overpriced compared to other hotels with much less to offer. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Pros: Excellent Location, so calm and serene. Greenery, Sea & World Class services, what else can one demand for a relaxing soul pleasing trip. Loved every minute of my stay at Taj Fort Agauda. Very helping and proactive staff.

Pros: Overall stay was excellent.sanjeev (swimming coach) was very cordial and made swimming easy for my son.

Cons: Windows had mist because of which view was not clear. However staff wiped them off but due to inner and outer temperature variations it was frequent.if a team can be dedicated to clean from outside it will be convenient.

Pros: Cordial and soft behaviour of all your employees in every section . Specially like to mention about Ms Toli . She is excellent.

Pros: Good things first: Excellent staff. Very good food. Good to see special attention that is provided to kids.

Cons: However, Room size is small and would not rate it high on simple comfort levels. Toiletries and cosmetics were not there for all four days. It was requested to provide a hard bed, which was never provided. Hotel doesn’t provide any view which is well below expectation.

Pros: The staff were awesome!! It is a lovely place for kids to really enjoy a fun filled holiday, alot of activities. Highly recommend it for families.

Cons: The outdoor jacuzzi wasn't fully operational.

Cons: Game room should be inside and accessible little late in night, because of rain we can't do anything. If you make nice game room in closed area that will be good attraction points. And for swimming pool keep some swimming accessories like noodle, tube and all.

Pros: After reaching the hotel post a 3 hour delayed flight when I got upgraded to a Duplex Suite my son was super ecstatic which in turn made my birthday celebrations awesome!!I had planned this with my best friend's and kids and I'm glad I chose Novotel for my stay..

Pros: I was there with my wife and 3 year old kid and it was a fabulous destination to be with family. All facilities are like Home, playing area for kid (specifically designed and maintained), Hotel services and Pool area. More than that we were overwhelmed by the smiling response and hospitality of the staff anywhere around in the property. I would say its one of the best property . I am fan of Marriott chain and would like to try something different and found worth . Kudos to team !!!

Pros: Everything. The manager Mr. Francis actually gave us free breakfast for the whole 2 weeks we stayed, and after eating there we knew why. The food is absolutely amazing, we tried most of the varieties, and every time we try something new it was pure bliss, even the kids who never tried traditional indian food were craving it after we came back home, absolutely top notch. He even got us very good rates when renting a car, and even a discounted taxi rate on the way to the airport. Very pleasant man. Thank you. The staff, security were so nice, smiles everywhere, felt welcomed from day one till the last moment we were there. Whatever we asked of them they made sure to deliver. Perfect hospitality. The room was spotlessly clean, and everytime they cleaned the room it felt like we hadn't even been there, they know what their doing. Very high standards when it comes to cleaning. I've visited Goa more than 5 times, first time with family, and i am so glad i chose to stay here, one of the best value for money places in goa period.

Cons: The way to the beach is a bit rough, there's no paved road to the beach. We were hoping that it was easier for the kids to reach the beach which was one of the main reasons we booked it. But if we neglect this small fact, one can easily say it is one of the best places you can stay regarding all other aspects, and of course for the price range.

Cons: Wifi was just terrible. Unacceptable for such a hotel. Also, rooms need some soundproofing. Great size and comfortable bed, but super noisy. One can hear the neighbours, the bells ringing, kids playing....

Our special thanks to housekeeping agents, front desk agents, servers and kitchen staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and I would definitely stay here again if I ever happen to be in Goa.

Pros: The property is very cozy, clean, comfortable and close to the candolim beach! There are very good restaurants in and around the place. Also their own restaurant The Palms was totally worth it and served delicious food Also the staff was very courteous. Mr Ajay Kumar was really good helpful and always smiling.

Pros: The best feature about the property is the cheerful staff. Always ready to help. Breakfast was great with good variety of options and live food to choose from. Location is fantastic with the beach being just 400 odd meters from the hotel. Highly recommended, and I would certainly return soon.

Pros: The staff was ever present to help with anything you wanted. Starting with the Bellboy who received us till the servers at the restaurant, nothing was ever too much. A special mention for the chef making the omelettes. Housekeeping is good and timely. Could not ask for more. Surely coming back here

Pros: Great Place to stay . Rooms are clean and neat. Staffs are so helpful and co-operative and its located just a 500 mtrs away frm beach. Swimming pool was amazing great location food was delicious. Overall had a nice experience. We will be back soon.

Cons: My friends had come to meet me and I was told from front office that it is not allowed and it was chargable. Other good properties don't have this rule as they had come to meet me and not spend the night with me. So I felt somewhat embarrassed in front of my friends.

Pros: 1. Their breakfast is good and so is the kitchen staff. Very attentive. 2. Location of the hotel is good and strategic. 3. We were three guests in a room and requested an extra bed which was well provided for.

Cons: For a four star property at a prime location 1. no one on the porch to welcome guests. 2. no one to help carry luggage from porch to the main entrance we had to climb stares with our luggage and move in. 3. 2/3 hotel boys roaming around inside but no one yet offers to put your luggage aside or even bothers to greet you. 4. most ignorant and unwelcoming person at the reception desk. Not just when we came in but while checking out and at all other times during our four days stay. 5. no greetings, no prompt welcome and seat offering you just feel you have entered a guest house with bored, careless, disinterested and ignorant attendant. 6. no welcome drinks. 7. no customer interaction and pleasantry exchanged. 8. you do get someone to carry your luggage to your room. 9. rooms are okay we stayed in 223 but no one gives u quick orientation about what is where. Which is a general practice in 5/4 stars. 10. room service is pathetic to the core, super slow. 11. our tv remote needed battery replacement which could not be done in four days. Instead they sent someone to tell us how to manage manually. 12. we could not use the cupboard to hang our clothes as its door was stuck and it remained so until our last day. 13. three guests should receive three bathing towels and 3 hand towels each day or as per their requirement. But every day after cleaning either bathing towel or hand towels were not provided. We had to call for it. Also bathroom floor towel was not put regularly. Toilet rolls were not supplied at times and we had to call and get it. 14. we ordered tea every morning in the room and it would only come after 30/40 mins. At times 45 plus minutes. And after 3 calls. Overall not recommended to stay at the hotel for poor, customer interaction, dull reception staff, unpleasant vibes.

Pros: We enjoyed everything, except rooftop bar over priced, Indian tourists made a lot of noise and played loud music early in the morning and the hotel didn’t to much to stop them, but not every day

Cons: Being 1st time hotel owners the overall property lacked the sheen of a 4star hotel. They should benchmark with the Taj fort Aquada for cleanliness and SOP. Attention to detail is paramount for excellence.

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful plus perfect location. Nice restaurant, rooms slightly tired and dated however well maintained and clean.

Cons: We were very surprised and disappointed by mandatory gala which we had to pay for on New Years Eve which we had even when we did not want to book. This was very expensive dinner which we did not wish to participate in as we already had our own plans. We did try to speak to managers about it but we were told that we would be charge for this anyway. We blame Booking.com for not being clear about it when we book this hotel. This information was not included when we receive our booking confirmation. Very disappointing and stressful experience which could be avoided if Booking.com could be more clear and transparent. Not much understanding and support from the hotel management neither. They were not helpful and there was no one who could be interested in resolving this problem. I still believe you cannot expect your guests to take part in mandatory dinners - ignoring their choices.
