Great location and very helpful staff. Good advice when asking about trips I could do myself, and local places to eat. Good kitchen and outside space.
Good location and room in the heart of the city. However the room was not in the hostel, it was approx 200m away so we were unable to user the fridge and the kitchen as we would wish to. So before going there, I would recommend to confirm this with the reception where you will be sleeping. Thing that is below the acceptance line is the “THEFT” or royalty to your customers. My friend left his Go Pro Camera with our Holiday photos in the room together with the charger. Once checked out, we realized an hour later that we’ve left it, we contacted the hostel immediately and in reply we were told that nothing was left in the room. I have not got more evidence to prove that it was left there but we have been many times in the hostels and this is the FIRST TIME someone blatantly lied to us. The camera was left charging and we simply forgot it. Shame for our picture as the camera is the only material thing but we’ve lost out photos! For this I am giving the lowest rating possible.
Good hostel very central to the Old Town for exploring the colourful streets and attractions. Room was comfortable and facilities good but I never saw the kitchen (if there is one). Around 30-40 pesos for a taxi to the bus station.
Atmosphere isn't great (or wasn't when I was there) because there was hardly anyone there. Didn't bother me as I was only there for one night, which I think is all you need here.
Some kind of bad smell in room. Insecticides or smth.
Helpful friendly staff. Clean and we'll equipped facilities (though the dry dishes in the kitchen need to be put away more often when the kitchen is cleaned). Comfortable mattress on the bed. Big lockers in the dorm. 5 bathrooms (outside the room) for the dorm rooms to use
Filtered drinking water or a filter on the kitchen tap so guests can drink the tap water would be great. I squished 2 bed bugs in my female dorm bed after being bit. Mosquitoes in the room.
