10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely atentavie providing highly personalized service. Inner courtyard and unique pool provide respite and privacy. With only eighteen guest rooms it’s very exclusive. Location convienient for discovering the Campeche UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking across to many restaurants, bars, shops and sites.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like. It’s a small hotel, make sure they have the services and amenities you want. It will also give them the opportunity to plan for your needs. I found they will go to extraordinary lengths to satisfy you.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location, Colors and the original swimming pool
Cons: Dark, really old fashioned , rooms , loosy still friendly service. Main issue is the town itself, you can visit it in 3 hours max. Not much ( if not nothing) to see or experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location, the architecture, the pools, and the staff.
Cons: Not the lighting I would expect in the bathroom. Would have enjoyed two chairs to relax in in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel overall. Deco is amazing, in particular the pool
Cons: Unfortunately the roof wasn't available during our stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location Friendly staff Most comfortable mattress of Mexico!!!!

9.2 Excellent (1,599 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Socaire places you in the heart of Campeche, steps from General State Archive and 3 minutes by foot from Casa Número 6 Cultural Center. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is an amazing place to wonder through. So colorful, so many little surprises. The courtyards are just too cool. They have a lovely pool. We slept in room 4 which was super spacious for a couple, the beds are quiet small though if 2 couples had to sleep there. WiFi and reception are excellent with English speaking and very helpful staff. The hotel itself is awesome!
Cons: The restaurant that is part of the hotel looks really cool although the food and service there are not the best (we had the quesadilla that were terrible). But it is a separate establishment and doesn’t take any points away from the hotel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel has a great location - easy walk to all the sites and restaurants in town. Room was a very good size.
Cons: The only uncomfortable part of our stay was the noise at night. Our room echoed all the entry way noises and the numerous sirens all night. Breakfast was poor - a Continental is fine however our toast appeared to have been done hours before - cold - dry and unpalatable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great mix of colors, colonial style, lovely hidden patios, friendly staff and extremely spacious rooms! We really enjoyed our stay in Socaire. Walking down the streets of the old city, we found it best in the area.
Cons: If you are booking a queen room with one large bed, be aware that most of them face the street, so it can be pretty loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely charming old mansion with lovely spaces, filled with art; gracious staff; superb food at the cafe behind the hotel; just a short walk to Campeche's central plaza. Just in a lovely part of the old city
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is an excellent choice for a stay in Campeche. It is located within the walled city and is in easy reach of the many bars and hotels. The rooms are clean, hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the many courtyards in the hotel add greatly to the ambiance and character of the hotel. I highly recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Localization in center, staff is amazing and the hotel it's really cool. Nice pool too. Really recommended to anyone that stays at campeche.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Access to cafe for breakfast, pastries, coffee drinks literally steps away and in a cool setting. Pool was great and easily accessible. Front desk staff were awesome -and accomodating, engaging, english speaking and friendly. Beds were comfortable and shower was fine. Place was quiet. Would love to stay here again...for a longer time period.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really helpfull and nice staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly beautiful hotel colonial style in the middle of town, pedestrian area. Reachable by car, they will park your car for you. Beautifully decorated, very friendly staff, spacious room (we had a master suite). Very nice bathroom with l'Occitane amenities.
Cons: Room is a little damp. When you look at the ceiling you can see why...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautifully furnished with a early 1900s style. Everything original. The staff service is excellent
Cons: I booked the master suite, which is nice in itself but it faces the street 59. This part of the street becomes an open bar from 6pm to 1pm with a lot lot of noise. The restaurants and bars below place sound speakers right in the street which is filled with (mostly) young people drinking barrels of beer. The room has double glass windows in most of the windows (not in the bathroom which is connected to the bedroom through the ceiling), but even with that you can hear the noise. I do have light sleep so it impacted my night sleep. The staff provided me earplugs and that help sort it out. Maybe someone with heavy sleep will not care about it.
6.3 Good
Cons: Very noisy property, we barely slept between the high music from the street and some issue with the fridge. Breakfast is very poor and with cheap products. Stuff ( from the restaurant) is not really nice. We will no go back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in what appears to be a former colonial residence within the historic district. Each of the ten spacious rooms is unique. Seating areas are outside with period furnishings. The atmosphere is low key and relaxing.
Cons: We were very disappointed in the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent but dinner terrible.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: There is no much natural light in the rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is really good and staff is friendly.
Cons: It's a really big hotel. Looked more authentic on the pictures.
7.5 Good
Cons: Junior suites on the ground floor look similar to a sparse entrance hall missing any charme
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, clean, nice staff
Cons: Small swimming pool not super clean
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Hotel Campeche is a lovely hotel right outside the main part of town where the restaurants and shopping are located. It is really just about a 6-7 minute walk to where everything is happening. The rooms are clean and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Our room was located on the street side of the hotel, so there was obviously traffic noise in the morning. There is a restaurant located in the hotel. Food was good; service was a bit slow. It was a good value for the money. It was not outstanding, but we would stay there again.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with window view on the malecon/ sea. Continental breakfast was good. Pool is small but pretty and well maintained. Friendly staff.
Cons: Some people might find it far from old city but we enjoyed the 20 min walk along the malecon. Gulf water does not look / smell clean.
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good location.
Cons: Hard beds for us. Had to fold over blankets to sleep on. Ocean view was main floor looking at parked cars.
7.1 Good
Cons: Accommodation was over priced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 2nd visit and perfect location to beach and Malecón, mall, restaurants.
Cons: This time our room was across from a staff supply room and more noise and traffic. Also, though not a property issue, the last night was coronation of child Carnival Queen and the room next to us after the program was full of noisy moms and girls. They were not considerate and staff had to intervene. I understand their excitement and we tried twice ourselves to quiet them.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, cleanliness, very friendly, helpful and professional English speaking staff, very good breakfast included, amazing full body massage in spa - must do!! Thank you for everything! You are doing a great job!!
Cons: Ocean view isn't really ocean view, other than that we had an excellent stay and would definitely come back!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of different hot/cold foods and nice presentation. It's open until 11:30 too. The hotel is fairly modern, and right across the road from the Malecon, which is a great place for long walks, easily accessible. Staff were exceptionally helpful, especially when trying to change a Booking.com reservation. Rooms either face the road/Malecon, or the pool area, which is nicer.

Overview Reviews

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel with helpful staff and a nice pool. We really enjoyed our stay.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The overall setting of the hotel is very nice - it is located in a colonial house with sunny and airy patio. The furnitures in the rooms fit the style.
Cons: Our room had no access to daylight and while I experienced in the past while staying in colonial houses that the windows often opens to the interior patio, our rooms neither had that nor even an split doors, in which the upper part could be opened. Moreover the was no hot water in the room. Staff turned to be not helpful at all on both issues a request to switch the room and to check on the water.
6.0 Good
Cons: No refrigerator in the room, no coffee or tea in room, no hair dryer in room. Room was claustrophobic, only interior window to yard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a wonderful patio where you can enjoy . The breakfast is delicious and the coffee excellent. Our room was very clean and we were treated with attention and care.
Cons: You can't find something to not appreciate. You feel instantly welcomed and in-between wonderful people and high standards of service.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice Hotel in a colonial building. Great position to reach the main roads of historical center of Campeche and the restaurant strip. The room was big and clean. Parking available near the Hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Close to City center and the ocean walk.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An atmospheric colonial building in the middle of the old town. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel was comfortable.
Cons: My room overlooked Calle 61. There was a rooftop party immediately opposite, with loud music and lots of people shouting at the tops of their voices. This went on until after 3 am. Although I was using earplugs, the noise was way beyond anything that earplugs could keep out. It was holiday season (December 26) -maybe this would be less likely to happen at a quieter time of year. Maybe a room on the other side would be quieter.

Cons: Design, but overall it was a one night place.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and clean
Cons: Double bed to small water pressure too low
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel
Cons: Poor quality wifi
9.6 Excellent
Pros: One block from the malecon that is then a pleasant 1/2 hour walk to old town UNESCO heritage site. Parking free and easy at hotel. Reception is friendly and breakfast staff very helpful providing several choices of hot breakfast included.
Cons: Staff needs to monitor the after hours use of the pool area better. One night of our three night stay people were drinking and talking right outside our room until after midnight when the regulations indicate quiet after 10pm and no consumption of alcohol.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Small, cosy, good attention
Cons: Breakfast could be better
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Noise by neighbours outside the hotel But hotel staff nor manager could nog do anything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very Friendly and helpful. The lady who makes breakfast is a good cook and very nice. Hotel is walking distance to the mall and the beginning of the malecon.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice place but a little out of the way. Great staff.
Cons: The location was a little out of the way and it's an island in a sea of empty space and residences. But it is a very nice little hotel.
Hotel Francis Drake - Campeche - Building
9
8.6 Excellent (1,112 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Francis Drake, you'll be centrally located in Campeche, within a 10-minute drive of Bonita Beach and Fort San Carlos. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Reception, parking valet and room service employees were very good. We reserved a room with small kitchen and stayed 5 nights. The kitchen and sitting area was removed from the sleeping area which gave separation of activities. It suited our needs. Off street covered parking is available for 4 cars plus additional open lot. We are a senior couple
Cons: Not dislikes but general comment. Wifi reception was only strong in the area close to the hallway and not the sleeping area. We adjusted our use to fit the service. As with most of the country low water pressure and time for temperature adjustment is the norm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and value for what I paid !
Cons: All was good
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Really bad breakfast.. Poor Loud air condition, dissapointed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location and cleanliness
Cons: Very poor wifi
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s proximity to the historical center and ocean promenade. Good value for money.
Cons: Cold showers in the evening!
6.0 Good
Pros: Location and friendly service excellent air conditioning
Cons: The hotel is really outdated, the water in the shower took along time to heat up. The Room had a musty smell.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Nicely located in city center.
Cons: Needs maintenance (slow shower drainage, one sided toilet seat).
5.0 Okay
Pros: Great location. The receptionists speak English.
Cons: We had booked a different, bigger room (a room with two double beds), but had been downgraded to a room with a double bed and a folding additional bed without a refund; but since we arrived at 5 am (our bus was delayed), I had no strenght to renegotiate the change of the room. The breakfast is very basic - only a small plate of fried eggs, one glass of an orange juice and a filtered coffee - not exactly what you expect from a four star hotel... The hot water runs only occasionaly (once out of three times). After cleaning up, the staff forgot to close the door to our room, so everyone could have just walked in - luckily, nothing got lost.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A bit at the limit, but still in the historic center, so very easy to walk around and admire the colonial houses, plus the Malecon along the sea. The building is very typical, stylish. Staff very nice.
Cons: No place, to sit around in the hotel, no lounge....So, always in the room. The room is dark. Our window on the first floor opens direct on the street. So, no intimacy if open. The bathroom, cramped, too small. We heard the voices and sounds coming from the other rooms.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was nice place, which have good location (near the center and near the sea - waterfront) Breakfast was quite good
Cons: There was strange noises (like you are landing or takeoff), it was no fridge)
5.0 Okay
Pros: 15 min walk to town square
Cons: Full of soccer teams yelling and running in halls all hours of the day, staff supported behaviour. Breakfast was too small for hotel if this size. First room had extremely bad smell.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: The stuff didn't speak english.
Maya Campeche Hotel - Campeche - Outdoor view
11
8.4 Excellent (361 reviews)

With a stay at Hotel Maya Campeche in Campeche (Zona Centro), you'll be steps from General State Archive and 3 minutes by foot from Casa Número 6 Cultural Center. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location. No breakfast but there are cafes closeby.
Cons: I was charged one night the day before my stay, which was expected. However, we were charged for all four nights once we got there. We were assurred that a credit would issue. We're back three days, I sent an email (no-one speaks English) and no credit. So, be aware when you check in to make sure that doesn't happen to you.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We really liked everything else very much. The location is perfect. It's just a few blocks to a pedestrian street, with restaurant's with seating in the street as well as indoors, and just a few more blocks to the malecón, and the Gulf Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, in a few languages. They understood the needs of travelers, and provided for that Bed was comfortable, sheets were nice, shower worked, room was cleaned thoroughly each day .. . . all good.
Cons: The single thing I noticed that I would change is that things in the room were dusty. A curtain, a silk floral arrangement, a lampshade we're dusty. The room, and bathroom, and floors were all clean; only the dust needs to get cleaned.
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff was nice and the location was near everything.
Cons: The room we stayed at, had hair on the sheets. Then the second night the bed had small bugs in the sheets. I guess the price was reasonable for the facilities.. but needs better attention on cleaning.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice small hotel in the heart of Campeche. Staff was veryfriendly and helpful. Room was nothing special but totally fine. Beds were comfy.
Cons: AC was a bit unpredictable. It was either too cold or too warm. Shower pressure was basically non existent. Should get that fixed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious room.Excellent location.
Cons: Rooms do not have any window. Check-in was very slow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The man at reception (sorry but I have forgotten his name) was very helpful and gave us tips of what to do and where to go
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location and rooftop are the best things about this place.
Cons: I don't understand where they took so many good reviews. But I tell you one thing, a room without a window smelling bad and not really clean is worth to spend more than 30 EUR? I say no. They charged us before showing us the room and than when we disagreed and ask for a refund the answer was straight away no. We made almost three weeks long trip in Mexico and I don't really know if to use booking.com anymore.
6.3 Good
Pros: Central location. Filtered water cooler & bottled water.
Cons: Was very noisy on the weekends until after 3am - there are nightclubs /bars one street behind. The roof in the room was covered in cobwebs, and the paint peeling from the walls. We were also sprung with an additional $100 peso per night fee (not noted on booking.com) as we had 'an additional person'.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, good location, decent kitchen
Cons: My room was fairly hot and stuffy, and no mention was made of where guests might (if they're all to) locate a control for the A/C unit. The front two bathrooms are oddly placed adjacent to the common room with the doors practically opening onto the space. Noise easily travels in both directions.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The kitchen was well equipped. Great location in the old town. Lockers, lights and chargers at each bed. Air-con and fan which can be used whenever guests want them.
Cons: Waaayyy too many beds for the size of the room in the 14 bed dorm. Would be extremely tight If full. Pricey hostel but very limited options in Campeche.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everyone at the reception was nice but specially Eduardo, who gave us fantastic recomendations. He is really kind and make our stay very comfortable. The location is exceptionally good. Very close to the Centre but quite enough to have good rest. We will come back sure
6.3 Good
Pros: Personal was Nice, it is central location and clean
Cons: Wifi is bad in the room They dont have filtered water to refil your own bottle. Had to buy plastic bottines, it is the first Time i see that in an hostal in whole mexico
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff very professional, place super clean, very quite I loved that. I will definitely stay again without thinking twice, super recomendado. I met the owner a very kind and friendly person. After my stay they helped me by storing my luggage at no additional cost. They even offered me to use the facilities without any problem until the time of my departure. Thank you very much ...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Both the receptionist and the housekeeper. The dormitory and the entire accommodation are neat and comfortable. The location central but quiet. I would stay there again!
7.0 Good
Pros: It's right in the city centre, meaning everything is walking distance. The room and bathroom are clean, towels and toiletries are provided.
Cons: The room can feel a little cramped, the bathroom was rather small.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Immaculately clean. The female dorm, although large with 12 beds, is really quiet. Really helpful, friendly staff. Good wifi throughout, even in the dorm. Bathrooms cleaned regularly throughout the day so always clean. Staff respond to any issues immediately. This was my second stay, I extended again and I would highly recommend. I will definitely come back next year.
Cons: Shower heads need to be replaced. Sometimes the tv outside the dorm is a little loud but people were very kind and turned it down when asked. No real issues, highly recommended.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is great place to stay for a few days - friendly staff, clean rooms, great fan/aircon, nice kitchen. Wifi works well in the female dorm. I arrived for 2 nights and ended up extending for 6. I will definitely stay here again.
Cons: Bathrooms could do with some TLC but they are very clean. Staff can be a little noisy early in the mornings but otherwise no issues.

Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff with clean comfortable rooms.
Cons: They were doing some kind of work in one of the rooms and the noise was a little annoying. It sounded like chipping of concrete and hammering.
10.0 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location! Comfortable bed and clean room. Good smell.
Cons: The staff can be more friendly...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location with a private parking. Big confortable room.
Cons: Décoration out of date but everything was clean. No breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is next to a main street which is busy during business hours but otherwise quiet, only a few blocks away from the main plaza. Beside that the area is quiet. (Other hotels closer to Calle 59 have party noise until very late.)
Cons: The first night I stayed in the first floor and could not sleep well as there was a permanent noise coming from the outside (aircon) and a machine from the groundfloor or the neighbour building. After having moved to the third floor it was ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Free secure parking. Excellent central location. Huge room. Best hot shower I have had in Mexico!
Cons: Elevator is very small. Breakfast not included. Pillows too small.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Extremely helpful staff, even though we didn't speak much Spanish and they didn't have much English.
Cons: Our window looked out on an airshaft. Pretty dreary.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and perfect location right in the heart of the old town center
Cons: No window in our room on the 3rd floor
4.0 Okay
Pros: A lovely old structure. Very attractive from the outside because of the pattern of balconies which we assumed meant our room would have a balcony. A fine courtyard interior, with an interior balcony all around each level of rooms.
Cons: Unfortunately, there is one room - #211 - which does not have a balcony. A window only, and it is difficult to take advantage of. The toilet is tiny. It requires some contortions in order to use it. It is probably the worst room in the hotel; we just got lucky.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Smell in bathrooms. Noise
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, few minutes to main square and next to the street with few good restaurants. Since we were traveling with a car, the hotel provided the parking spot, they take your car into garage and bring it back when you’re leaving. Very comfortable and stylish place with friendly stuff.
Cons: The only drawback is that stuff was speaking mostly Spanish.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very good quality for that price
Cons: It was really noisy from the street and place where breakfast was prepared
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms, AC, comfortable beds, hot water with good pressure, good WiFi.
Cons: Small rooms but they have everything you need.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: This modern Mexican style hotel in the heart of Old Town Campeche is immaculate! Walking distance from everything. Beautiful tiny plunge pool in the small but peaceful center courtyard.
Cons: The spaces are all quite small - we stayed in a Junior Suite, which had two very comfortable beds but was a bit small for three people.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room 301 is on the roof with nice view over the city. Great terrace.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: People were very good
Cons: Coffee ready earlier
5.8 Okay
Pros: Excellent location, comfortable bed, nice roof terrace.
Cons: This was unfortunately one of the noisiest hotels I've ever stayed in - the walls must be paper thin because you can hear absolutely everything that's going on in the building, like people in the corridors, slamming doors, even people using hairdryers in their rooms. There was also noise from some sort of loud machinery that started very early in the morning and went on for a couple of hours, so I didn't get much sleep. My room was very small and dark (no outside window). The swimming pool was tiny and looked dirty; I didn't use it. I was expecting better standards from a 4-star hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is magnificent, right at the heart of Campeche walled city. There are plenty of vibrant cafés and bars.
Cons: I was a bit disappointed: the terrace for breakfast overlooking the neighbourhood was not open.

Pros: You can park your car at the hotel.
Cons: -
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and confortable, really quiet at night.
Cons: Too far from the city, if you are looking for a stay in a central area. The pool was really cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location excellent a few blocks demo the main market. The place had a lot of character, the staff were friendly, and the rooms clean and cozy.
Cons: Slight perfume smell in one of our two rooms. Street was a bit noisy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: the parking lot is a safe one
Cons: The parking lot is small and outside but close to the hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Off-street parking (limited but available) Satellite tv channels (mostly Spanish, a few in English) Bar fridge Very soft/comfortable bed Friendly staff
Cons: First floor room (some upstairs noise) Facing street (some traffic/other noise but not unreasonable) A little far from everything (but the price was compensation) No Uber/Cabify, so you need a vehicle or local taxis to get around
