The staff was amazingly courteous. The location and facilities amazing. The food quality and variety marvelous!
Room 3000 needs a proper hair blow drier- it was a wall mounted model that was not mounted and stored beneath the sink.....a very easy fix. Our room toiletries were never complete despite numerous requests...we never had hand soap or hair conditioner. Our mini bar was only restocked upon request and it took several rounds before our requests for mostly club soda were granted.
The photos of the rooms I thought I booked on booking.com are only available to members of Sandos..
We loved the layout of the resort—restaurants being up in the cliffs and down on the beach, such a cool layout. The food at Agave and Tortuga were our favorites, but the staff was nice and welcoming everywhere we went.
The biggest thing we talked about all week was how small changes could make the buffet SO much better—EACH dish needs a heat lamp! Half the food isn’t under heat lamps and is cold. With the buffet being our only breakfast option it was disappointing to eliminate a third of the options based on food being cold alone.
The drinks were good
The house keeping never replenished coffee, we asked for it. It took forever for room service. The room smelled like mildew. They employees told us our shuttle wouldn’t be able to pick us up because we didn’t call the day before we left. They had us get a taxi and charge it. The shuttle people called us when we were on the way to the airport, they were waiting on us at the hotel.
Bathroom plumbing. Rough walkways. Check in sucked.
