Staff is awful, quite rude.
In general the staff was attentive and effective.
In short, hotel should not be open during renovations. The smell, noises, slow elevator service, terrible plumbing, etc, etc. Their 230 “discounted rate” is a rip-off.
we were not allowed in the hotel
im not sure its a sheraton problem, however your hotel is the one left us on the street. we had a confirmed reservation from KAYAK and when we arrived at your hotel at 10:00 PM we were told no vacancies. there is not much to say, a complementary room would be nice.
It was ok.
There wasn't much included in this stay. The tv only offered basic cable, the WiFi wasn't free, and the jacuzzi was broken. But they had no problem putting a $250 hold on my card. Honestly it was OK but I don't think I'd stay here again. There are a lot hotels in this price range in the same area I'd stay at first.

Better Than Expected
We stayed three nights while visiting family in Brooklyn. We booked through a third party site on Kayak. In the past at other hotels, this leads to being treated as a second class citizen. This was not the case at the Sheraton. Everyone was very polite and friendly and met all how requests without hesitation. The room was good for the price in Brooklyn, very clean with nice, comfortable bedding.
Noisy family next door in the mornings but this was not the hotel's fault.
Kayak screwed me
It's a big city!, comfy bed and quiet stay... the staff was Excelent and professional... Clean rooms and hot shower... Overall a great stay!
The air had a problem getting it down to my preferred temp of 66... The elevator fobs were problematic as we had friends on the 23 floor and our card would only let us go to the floor above and below for "ice" and "vending"
Valet was horrible they hit my cat and would claim responsibility. Water pressure in room was very low
