Very close the train station, only a short walk in to the centre. Excellent food.
Pod bathroom, and strange smelling air freshener.
The staff were very friendly and explained everything about our stay!
While the breakfast was lovely, it's above £8 per person and you have to choose between continental or English breakfast? If this is the case why is it set up like a buffet? Way too expensive for what is provided.
I chose this hotel specifically because it is a five minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads railway station (take the side exit next to the Station Approach exit) - and from Bristol Temple Meads water taxi stop to the city centre. Although near the station, it’s quiet and in a redeveloped business area. About a twenty minute walk from the centre. Breakfast great, and restaurant open for other meals but I ate out. Room comfortable, spotless, and air con not noisy. Coffee/tea making facilities in room and adequately replenished daily. Staff friendly and speedy check in and out.
The phones have been taken out of the rooms and you are meant to use WhatsApp to contact reception. I don’t use the app and was certainly not going to install it just for the hotel. But in an emergency who is going to have the presence of mind to call reception via this method!! This policy needs reviewing.
near centre, friendly stuff and clean rooms. thanks :)
staff were pleasant. the room was well designed and supplied with sufficient lights, sockets, hairdryer, air con, tea and coffee etc. the food was quite nice in the evening and ok am but not great. when the restaurant was unable to run properly the staff helped me with Deliveroo. the hotel was very handy for our event venue, the station and the water ferry stop
beds were hard and not very comfortable and there was only 1 set of 2 towels for 2 people. we asked for a set of 2 each and were happy to use them for the whole stay so left them hanging up as per hotel policy but the staff took the extras away till we left a note telling them not to. The breakfast room showed pictures of breakfast items like Danish pastries, cookies, bowls of fruit etc but the reality was tiny glasses of fruit and none of the others pictured. there was only 1 type of egg. scrambled. they ran it of croissant 2 hrs before closing one of the days. one day the fryer broke and there was barely any food for evening meals.
