The staff was nice and spoke English. The room was cheap.
This is really typical hostel with private rooms, not a hotel. The toilet was barely separated from the room. There was no lift. WiFi in our room did not work.
Was given an upgrade on the booked room, to a larger room, and help with a particularly heavy suitcase both times. Close to main street and train station, but not the port.
The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The reception closed earlier than advertised, and the phone number I printed out from the internet booking only gave me an answer machine each of the three times I rang during 'reception' hours to alert reception that I would be a few minutes later than the closing time of 8pm. When I arrived at the hotel at 8.05, there was a different phone number - which I had to ring to get let into the hotel, so 4 foreign phone calls when one should have done the job.
The staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was a plus!
It was cheap and conveniently situated in the middle of town
Clean, friendly staff
Noisy and old rooms
