Best Western Plus Hotel Stadtpalais

I got rebooked to the Best Western City Center, but most of my comments apply to both Best Western hotels in Braunschweig. The staff was friendly, I booked car parking and they let me keep the car parked there until 5pm the next day even though the lady at the front desk reminded me multiple times that it was an exception and to not expect it again. I needed to have somewhere to park the car and thought I had paid for 24-hour parking, not only until check-out time the next day. There was a mini-fridge but no mini-bar. The room was comfortable however the pillow was overly soft.

There was a half-eaten sandwich from Penny in the mini-fridge. There was no bottle of water, which, given the price I paid, seemed like it should have been included. The area seemed a little dodgy. I arrived after 11pm and it seemed like some unsavory types were hanging out near the front of the hotel and in the whole area. Not conducive for going out and discovering the city. It was fine in the daytime however.

Very quiet, could do with a barman and a bit more life in reception
