Overview

Right in the centre of Braunschweig, the Best Western City-Hotel Braunschweig, Braunschweig, Germany, is a comfortable hotel close to the main sights, with modern rooms, free Wi-Fi in the rooms and lounge, a lobby bar, a breakfast buffet, and free use of the fitness centre and sauna. Bright spaces for meetings and conferences make it an easy base for work as well as sightseeing, and the relaxed lobby bar is a pleasant place to end the day. The old town squares and museums are right on the doorstep. Braunschweig was the seat of Henry the Lion, the powerful duke who made it his capital long ago. On the castle square his bronze lion still stands guard before the Romanesque cathedral that holds his tomb, the half-timbered Magniviertel quarter winds through lantern-lit lanes, and parks and the gentle River Oker ring the old centre. Markets and shopping streets fill the heart of the city.
