As a budget hotel it met all of my expectations - the room was clean, the bathroom was well sized and the bed was a good size and comfortable. Clean towels and tea & coffee were provided. If travelling to the Norbreck end of Blackpool again, I'd have absolutely no issue in rebooking!
The view was excellent - and we had two televisions in the room! (no idea why) - it was clean!
The man behind the counter was very rude on arrival - I had been stuck in a taxi because of train cancellations and I really just wanted to get in the room and have a wee. There is nowhere stating you cannot bring food back to your room anywhere however he was adamant that we could not bring anything back, not even chips (he was insistent about this) there was no Iron or hair dryer in the room - and there was no headboard either so we kept falling off the end of the bed. The owner grilled one of our friends about why we were here and if we were noisy (we were not) - and I was warned not to give a negative review because the owner can be quite rude and judging by some of the review replies on here - I can see that is the case, The lady who was the cleaner or on reception however was lovely - so I will give you a point back for that. I had heard horror stories about another hotel so decided to stay somewhere a bit nicer and pay a bit more however I don't think I got the value out of that - the shower was tepid (if that) and it just dribbled on you. The owners attitude was terrible - and the room needed an update - maybe he could go on some sort of customer care course? If you don't want people in your house don't run a B&B No late check out is available at all - which would have been nice I would have happily paid a bit more for that. He has a sign saying the bar is closed for refurb, this is a lie - its always closed out of season - and I am glad because if he was behind the bar he'd probably put me off my pint! The place is ok but could do with a new owner.
The staff where very friendly and the hotel clean
It was a good 10 minutes or £8 in a taxi from the north pier, hotel very dated and basic. A standard double is a very small bed for two adults.
Undergoing quality refurbishment
Police involved in a domestic on second night of our stay
Nice and clean, parking and lovely and warm rooms.
Unfortunately our room (8) does have a very small shower/toilet room but we got a sea view
