The rooms were clean
To get from our room to the lobby wasnt strolller friendly. I had asked if there was another way without stairs and the employee at the front desk said no so I had to carry my infant son and drag my stroller up and down the stairs. We got locked out of our room for 20 minutes, my daughter was wet from swimming and my infants food was in the room. The battery on the door lock stopped working and an employee had to let us in by climbing onto our balcony from the one next door. The breakfast buffet wasn't hot amd the employee maintaining it was touching the food with his bare hands after touching door handles and other parts of the restaurant, they ran out of orange juice and got my husband some from the back and said he wouldn't charge us for it since it was orange juice from the kitchen.... Clearly we shouldn't be charged for it at 18.99 a person for a breakfast that wasn't worth 18.99.
The location turned out to be terrible, as there was a lot of construction going on and it was hard to get in and out of. Also, the parking was very limited. If we had known there was such a lot of construction at this place, we would not have booked. I think they could have compensated us in some way for all the inconvenience. Also the pillows were not comfortable at all. Both my husband and I did not get a good sleep at all. The water pressure was great until we turned on the shower, and then it died down considerably.
Old, dated. Staff not friendly or welcoming
The staff was very nice. It was very quiet overnight. Bed was comfortable. We had a nice little balcony. The room was clean. It was pretty dated but there was a notice saying that they were beginning renovation work to the whole place.
Nestled on the outskirts of Banff, this comfortable hotel offers guests fantastic views and welcoming facilities. After a day of exploring or skiing enjoy the indoor pool and whirlpool. Hungry? Enjoy a delicious meal at the Wildfire Grill or grab a bite in the Bears Den Pub.
