Well, it has a great location, just a few metres from the beach in one direction, and the main shopping street in the other direction. The room size was adequate. Some of the staff were friendly.
A summary of the basic problems with the hotel room: - Unclean. They're was a half-eaten cookie and hairs still on the floor when we arrived; - Very, very noisy air conditioning unit - it looked pretty old; - The phone in the room was broken; - The view from the window was of a concrete wall two metres away; - Very soft bed, cheap mattress! - Thin walls; - Terrible wifi signal in the room - impossible to do anything at all unless you are in the hotel lobby... Other problems: The hotel is popular with teenagers coming to party - lots of them returned to the hotel at 3am and were shouting in the corridors, waking us up. The staff were friendly - but also incompetent... On arrival they were slow to book us in, with the receptionist forgetting to return my ID card after scanning it until the next day( it was also my fault of not remembering it). During check out we asked for a paper copy of the bill because we had doubts about them charging us twice for the room, and charging us for services we did not use. Instead, they started serving someone else in the middle of sorting out our check out. They took so long that we had to leave because our taxi had arrived. Despite an email follow-up asking them to supply our bill, we got no response at all. We also asked for a quote for a taxi to Navegantes airport. But they took hours to respond - eventually knocking on our door at 11..30pm when we were already asleep (the phone in the room wasn't working) to ask if we still wanted the taxi. We said we would decide in the morning (to compare the price with Uber). Instead of waiting, they booked it anyway. Meanwhile we decided to book an Uber, so both taxis arrived in the morning, leading to an embarrassing conversation with the driver booked in error by the hotel.
