8.8 Excellent
Pros: Receptionist was very helpful and her English was good
Cons: Shower flooded the bathroom and a bit beyond
4.5 Okay
Pros: It's cheap in a pinch, but I wouldn't recommend staying here if you can help it.
Cons: Small, cramped room, bathroom really tiny
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff are nice.
Cons: Rooms could be newer.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our check in experience was good. The receptionist went out of her way to organise a room immediately as we were a little early. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is a budget hotel, however you know what you get from this chain. It is appreciated that towels and rubbish are dealt with on a daily basis. The location was superb. It is not far to Arles, and there are supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Room smelling of sewage, noisy, poorly kept the entire hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff was very nice and helpful. The person at night gave us an extra blanket. Large bed. Room warms fast with the heater/AC. Very affordable price for a private room with private bathroom.
Cons: The shower is very small and all plastic, low quality but it is to be expected given the price of the room. The hotel is a little bit old, so the cleanliness is not so good, the carpet smells a bit. The carpet in the corridors and the rooms need a deep wash to remove the smell of old carpet. The digital code at our room door worked but upon pressing the same buttons several times.
Premiere Classe Arles - Arles - Building
2
6.3 Good (1,635 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Premiere Classe Arles in Arles, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Camargue Regional Nature Park and 7 minutes from Abbey de Montmajour. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and microwave in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Internet connection was ok. The guys at the front desk were fine too, and they spoke some English, which was a relief. There was an old microwave available at the front desk for guests to use, but no utensils available. There was also a vending machine with some snacks and drinks, and there was a steak house practically in front of the motel. Nearby, there was a commercial center with some supermarkets, a Burger King, a Mc Donalds, a pizza place and a chinese restaurant.
Cons: This is not a hotel - it is a motel. Very simple and by the road - so it is not the kind of place you want to spend many nights in. Since the prices in France are not the best, it was the cheapest we could find and it was OK, if you bear in mind it is a motel. The room is small and the bathroom can barely fit one person. Even though there were signs saying smoking in the room was not allowed, the bathroom was stinking as if there had been people smoking there. If you are willing to visit the historic center, bear in mind that you will need a ride or you will have to walk something like 20 minutes or more (not much on a cool day, kind of a lot when it is very cold though).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and professional staff
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: We checked in, got the key and decided to go for dinner. Later at night when we decided to go to the room, this wasn't cleaned out. There was nobody at the reception so we had to call the emergency number. They gave us a new room but still smelled like pee. Overall, hideous.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Carpark facility was private & safe..Buffalo Grill just next door..a good value dinner if you arrive late & don't wish to drive anywhere.
Cons: Dirty rusty shower. Staff not very helpful
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Small room and shower room, breakfast not sufficient, everything was sweet.
7.0 Good
Pros: breakfast not taken - location satisfactory
Cons: need slightly larger room and tea / coffee facilities in room as vending machine not working

6.7 Good
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Bicycles available.
Cons: A bit pricey considering it’s outskirts location.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Simple & easy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms with balcony and view over pool area. Area and car park are fenced off.
Cons: After booking the room in October (non-refundable) a message states that the pool is closed after Oct 1. This appeared not to be the case but pool closed (is covered) on cold or windy days. There is a fridge in the room (empty) but it turns off when you leave the room (connected to card socket switch). Stupid. There is nothing to do or buy in the (slightly run down) vicinity and you need to walk to the city centre (1.5 km) for everything unless you like Arab style shops.
7.0 Good
Pros: It was a great value for money. Since it was a winter time so we couldnt enjoy the swimming pool and beautiful garden part at all. Room is well equipped and bathroom was clean. Also I especially took a advantage of using bath-tub to relax after long driving day.
Cons: When we arrived to the door(parking entrance), the door bell didnt work. We had to stay around 10min trying without knowing that the bell was broken. Finally we entered with another guest of the hotel. Then when we were doing check-in, the reception guy just quickly comment that the bell is not working since been a while ; Little note on the door or quick message when booking is confirmed is necessary.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Secure large parking, needed this when in a hire car. Car parked outside front door, pool out back door! Amazing for the money. Short walk to arles centre, fantastic vibe, short drive to camargue national park, (wear mosquito repellent or cover up, mosquitos there are huge and hungry ha), national park amazing, maybe pack binoculars to see the lake. Lidl and MacDonald's and lecerc relatively close. Fridge in room handy too.
Cons: Na

Cons: Parking spaces in the centre of Arles.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Serenity. Stay at the hotel is a vacation on it's own.
Cons: Shower could be made more accommodating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very good and varied breakfast table with fresh produce and excellent coffee. The grounds provide a haven of relaxation and it is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The cat, who we called 'Pierre', was very friendly and seemed to know the best spots for peace and quiet.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Almost nothing.
Cons: The wc is separate from the bath, not even a sink near it. For that price is uneccaptable. I searched for room with free wifi but wifi was in the reception only and no internet at all.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The swimming pool
Cons: Almost everything. Dirty public areas, mosquito-ridden, cluttered room, reception closed down early in the evening, staff unable to speak English in a tourist area

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, good car parking
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The hotel is very tired and the location is awful. No where near the centre of town and a long dark road to walk along at night.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breackfast
Cons: No fridge in the room. Hair dryer out of order
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Easy to park ! It was about a 15 minute easy walk into the centre of Arles and most of that along the Rhône. Lovely and clean. Staff were helpful and mostly pleasant.
Cons: The entrance to the hotel is not sign posted very well and you feel like you are entering an abandoned lot initially as you drive through the gate. Perhaps a large sign on the gate as you drive in would add confidence.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, short walk along the river to the main attractions.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Consistency of Ibis
Cons: I was a little difficult to find
5.8 Okay
Pros: You get what you pay for. Not great, but reasonable value for money.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 4 meeting rooms available for events. 9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel. Friendly and competent staff. Parking.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Tiny not comfortable rooms Terrible breakfast Not friendly staff Location close to highway Mosquitos in the room
6.3 Good
Pros: Free parking is a highlight - room was very spacious - little extras like a pool table, football table, and swimming pool with jaquizzi
Cons: The location wasn't too bad, although it feels a bit run down from the outside its only a 10 min walk to the beautiful town or Arles. The hotel pictures make this hotel look modern and funky, but in reality its old and tired - the decor of the rooms and bathroom is old, basic and cheap and does not match the images that the hotel are putting up - this is what I call false advertising. The breakfast is expensive and basic. The staff are not helpful or happy - they are miserable and were often playing pool when we needed assistance. The free parking is a good highlight. The pool area in autumn is not the nicest place to be. We were not offered proper service on arrival as the night porter couldn't speak English (not his fault) but no-one spoke to us the following morning.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and parking facilities
Cons: The waiter by the name of Alexander at breakfast swiped the back of his hand against my girlfriend ‘s buttocks. He was hovering very close to her at the breakfast table when the room was empty as it was almost end of breakfast and apart from our table there were hardly anyone else and he was clearing the room. My girlfriend shouted at him when he touched her buttocks the second time as that eliminated the possibility of any accident in the touching. When I confronted him he started shouting very loudly and denying it in an aggressive and insulting manner. Totally unacceptable behaviour. My girlfriend asked to speak to the manager but only the front desk guy came and another lady waiter. She told him what happened. However the hotel did nothing at all. There was no follow up on her complaint. And the day after, that same waiter Alexander was on duty at breakfast. Luckily my girlfriend overslept and missed breakfast or she would have been extremely upset to see that waiter at breakfast. At no time did we receive any apology for the waiter’s behaviour. This is shocking for a booking.com listed hotel. This happened on 16/9/19 and we have not heard anything from the hotel on the incident. We are home now from our European holidays so a formal email complaint will be made to the hotel and booking.com.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pool and haman
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great
Cons: The access road to the hotel off the main and other roads is cumbersome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I could charge my electric car, which was amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Very adequate facilities and a great breakfast with many choices. The pool and spa were wonderful for relaxing. The site was close enough to walk to town and especially to the market on Saturday.
Cons: The pool was very chlorinated, but other than that it was very good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fine and had a full buffet. Parking at the hotel was very easy and the location in the town was not good and a difficult walk into the center of Arles.
Cons: The location of the hotel was away from the center of Arles. It was not comfortable to walk from the hotel into town at night. Since it was difficult to park walking was the only alternative. Although we were told it was a 10 minute walk in the dark down narrow and dark streets with traffic it was not worth the walk. Although the town is worth a visit and has many restaurants it was difficult to get there after dark by walking. Worst part was the hotel does not serve dinner except to groups. We were left without dinner for the 2 nights we stayed there.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The arts in the lobby, the jacuzzi, pool, the room, the space in the hotel amaizing, clean, modern, the colors, they have nice pictures there... inside the room is very clean and they have a good space for car, internet fast.
Cons: I don’t like the are near the hotel, to entre there was strange because the hotel outside is not to modern like inside.

4.2 Okay
Cons: Check in process was horrible. The office was closed all day and no information was posted about how to access our room. Luckily security could help us get in contact with someone who could get us our room key. In addition, the resterant process was unclear and silly. You had to pay first, in a different location and only then could you get a meal. Nothing posted in English at the office. If we hadn't leaned French before we traveled into France, we would not have been able to check into our room which was already paid for.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing place, very clean
5.4 Okay
Pros: Quiet away from the pool
Cons: Can't check in until 5pm and pool closes at 7. Have to check out by 10am. But pool does not open until 10am. WC in the room are so small you almost can't close the door
4.6 Okay
Pros: good for tourist only
Cons: Far and just good for holiday, if you arrive late you aer lost in the residence. No breakfast, or faraway, you need car. The bed was a sofa bed uncomfortable

Pros: Reception area
Cons: No air conditioning or fan in room, with temperatures close to 40c One of us was bitten all over by bed bugs, head, back, arms, feet The other person was fine All in all, a quite horrible experience
4.2 Okay
Cons: The problem was you can smoke over there. I’m allergic to it so my night was a nightmare. Everyone around me was smoking. If you don’t smoke do not go but if you do it’s a place for you. Don’t be fooled by thinking you are booking a non-smoking room. I wish someone would have told me that
7.0 Good
Pros: Pleasant staff.
Cons: Location in commercial zone. Shower tiny with curtain so long it blocked the drain.
6.7 Good
Cons: Lot of dust on the wall photo and around. Shower with simple curtain
5.4 Okay
Pros: Simple motel just out of town, with bike it's quick to get into town (bike must be rented else where). Aircondition in the room.
Cons: Shopping / industrial area is not very charming at all and might feel unsafe for single/sensitive travlers. Only fastfood options nearby.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was adequate. The staff was friendly and trying to help.
Cons: Air conditioning did not work. The rooms are very small and dated. Could be cleaner too.
6.3 Good
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable, decor was tired, pillows smelled of cigarette smoke and whole hotel had a bad settee smell.

Pros: Staff were helpful and really friendly; made us feel valued and welcomed, also gave us dinner recommendations that were AMAZING (thanks again for that!) The room itself was super cute; the terrace is gorgeous if you like to sit with a coffee in the quiet. Also loved the resident chickens coming to say hello! Shower was POWERFUL which is awesome and the whole room was clean and bright. Breakfast was ideal too. Just a peaceful, happy place and we wish we had more time to stay!

Cons: There was some mix up with our room allocation and we ended up with a very small room.

Pros: We loved our stay here. The owner and his employees were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, easy access and free parking. A great place to settle in and explore the surrounding area. Clean and modern room with cozy public areas. Highly recommend.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was a great way to get into the old city across the bridge. Parking was available and it was easy to get back on the highway. The staff were very helpful in giving us tips for sightseeing.
Cons: Room was very small...was have liked a larger space to put out our suitcases.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic stay. Rooms were spacious. Restaurant was good. It is a perfect stay if you have finished the sights as it is a little bit far from the Centre for walking. Plenty of free safe parking.
Cons: It was far from the Centre and if you wanted to enjoy the night life.
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel is easy to find, just a few minutes from the highway. Parking is big and they close the gate during the night. Stuff is welcoming and friendly.
Cons: I didn’t like the rooms, very budget and smelly. I took a coffee to go in the morning and it was half empty and not tasty as all.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: 15-20 min walk to the city center: it is worth leaving the car in the hotel parking and walk to the city center or the close by roman ruins park. Nice breakfast and pets are welcomed.
Cons: The parking is conveniently close to the motorway but the neighborhood is not a good one and walking out at night can be slightly scary.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very good breakfast: quality and cheap. Room was basic, but quite a deal if you consider the price. Staff was kind and friendly, especially at the restaurant
Cons: Unfortunately the building has a severe issue related to the city canalization. The first night we slept at the first floor and there was a very strong smell of sewer, barely tolerable. Thanks God in the following 2 nights we could move to the 4th floor, where the situation was not fully solved yet, but definitely better. It's a pity because it's a good hotel for the rest

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Located between Roman Arena and Roman Theater. How could you do better than that? Staff was helpful. Front desk checked on possibilities for transportation due to wildcat railroad workers strike and made reservations ahead of our arrival at a superb restaurant less than a block away. Restaurant was fully booked when we arrived, so reservations were needed.
Cons: We did not get as much time touring as we wanted, but that was due to the railroad strike, not anything the hotel did.

Best rooms in Arles

Overview Reviews
As early as the Middle Ages L’Arlatan was recognised as being Arles’ most lavish hôtel particulier - a grand townhouse - and now, thanks to the exceptional vision of artist Jorge Pardo, it is making an outstanding début on the modern stage. A gigantic 6000 square metres of mosaic now adorns the hotel with an explosion of colour, light and contemporary design. Each room and each doorway is a unique work of art; the almost two million fragments of mosaic tile used for the renovation were all handmade. The different buildings, whose central part is listed as a Monument Historique, are set around a magnificent courtyard with a majestic staircase and lounges boasting unrivalled charm. L’Arlatan welcomes you and takes you on an exceptional, magical journey through history, culture and the senses. Nestled in the historic centre of Arles, it is just a few minutes from the Place du Forum, the Roman amphitheatre (Les Arènes) and the Church of Saint Trophime.
6.4 Good
Pros: Everything was beautiful and interesting. Location was also good for access to the train.
Cons: The negative was that we could not connect to the internet. No one could help us get connected and my husband was quite frustrated about this. We did not have this problem at any other hotel on our two week trip. I also had some trouble booking on line until your web site showed up. Also, the online reply returned to me from the hotel was in French which delayed the booking process until your site appeared.
6.0 Good
Pros: Convenience to downtown Arles.
Cons: The location if driving is impossible. We literally wasted hours trying to get to their garage. We left early and rebooked a place outside of town as we used our car everyday for day trips.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was perfect for accessing all parts of Arles on foot which was good since once you manage to find a car park space in Arles you don't want to loose it! (car parking is a nightmare in Arles....)
Cons: On one day we did not get our room made up and queried this with the Front Desk who apologised profusely (advising the cleaning staff were new) sorted it immediately and offered us free drinks at the bar.
6.0 Good
Pros: The character of the hotel was fabulous and we liked it's central location although we did have difficulty finding it.
Cons: The service at breakfast was very slow and many tables were left uncleared.
6.4 Good
Pros: Good location but a bit difficult to find. Great pool facility for the kids.
Cons: Weak air conditioner.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was a beautiful French country mansion with its own charm. Antiques, Provence decoration, breakfast in the lovely garden, two big dogs, the small pool at the backyard... all were just wonderful for our family of four with 2 kids. Above all, Gillert made the stay so special with recommendations on local attractions and such hospitality. He is simply the best host I have ever met! It was a pity that I could stay there only for 2 nights. Would come back.

Pros: One of the best city B&Bs we have ever done. The building is a restored 17th century Provence house in a pedestrian street right in the historic centre of Arles; spacious, comfortable, full of character and within easy walking distance everything you want to visit in the city. The hosts, Emmanuelle and Georges, were great. Very friendly, welcoming and more than willing to help in any way. They are also very knowlegeable about the area and provided us with loads of information on what to see and where to eat. What's more, they are really interesting to talk with on all sorts of subjects; we had several delightful conversations over long, extended breakfasts which all added to our experience of a city and area that we had not previously visited. Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice of fruit, breads, juices, croissant, cheeses, home-made jams, eggs, etc. More than we could eat. Altogether, a delightful and memorable stay. Thank you Georges and Emmanuelle.

Pros: High quality room with nice couple that makes you feel welcome to Arles. Perfect starting point and ambiance for our cultural weekend.
Cons: No remarks.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Host are wonderful. They are so attentive and full of information. What a great resource in a new city you are visiting.
Cons: I did not like it, but everyone needs to know this is a 17th century home. The owners have updated with all modern conveniences, but this is a guest house not a hotel. We loved it but do know this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the hosts were all about guest comfort and were as friendly and helpful as they could possibly be! former restaurant owners themselves, they offered a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast and were very helpful in recommending restaurants and/or reservations. they went above and beyond in their duties.

Pros: Our hosts are truly ambassadors for their city, they have great ideas for what to see not only in Arles but day trips. Arles is a fun and energetic city combining great art with stunning architecture. Our room was generous, very clean, nice bed, quiet and the entire house is decorated with cool art. The breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start the day. Also, very convenient to shops and restaurants. This will always be our first choice in Arles.

Pros: Love this hotel.. old style and perfect position
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our rooms were a good size with comfortable beds and a large hot shower. Our room had a view onto the pool, which was small but great for a dip on a hot day. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good.
Cons: Actually getting to the hotel is difficult as you need to be buzzed through a bollard in the street a distance from the hotel. The hotel had asked us to phone them but we didn’t have good mobile reception. When you get to the hotel they park your car in the garage which takes 5 cars

Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Lovely pool area to have breakfast
Cons: Very old bathroom and not good shower over bath quite dangerous. Very old. Beautiful old ceramic handbasin but taps did not protrude enough so when turned on water went everywhere.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and within walking distance of all the major Arles sites and the market as well. The staff was helpful and check in and check out were easy.
Cons: Parking is at the main city parking garage. There is then a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel (much of it uphill). The hotel will give you a discounted parking pass to leave the garage the next day (and you can stay in the garage after you check out for the day if you're doing more sightseeing).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff at checkin and checkout was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, calm and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The property is beautiful. The location is perfect to explore Arles by foot. The amphitheater and the arena are just minutes away. Cafés, restaurants, bars, bakeries, pharmacies, super markets are all reachable within five minutes. Parking was easy to find on the Boulevard just across the theater. Price for value was great.

Pros: The location was perfect, right in the old town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was truly lovely and breakfast (with an additional charge) was very good.
