Small hotel charm; fantastic staff; clean.
breakfast was fine. Simple but yummy.
Parking-can't park on the street after 6 without worrying about getting towed October-April.
Breakfast was OK and the location was quite central. The rooms were clean and spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The bed was also comfortable and the service good. It was great having a 'balcony' with view and ability to open the door, albeit only to a 'Juliet' balcony. Arrangements with the Captain Cook hotel across the road were also very good although I did not get time to take advantage of them.
There was no effective control over the room temperature (heating) and I was too hot at night and found the air stuffy so I did not sleep well. The only way I could get fresh air into the room was by opening the balcony door which was problematic with noise at night and often rain. It would have been good to have a window for ventilation.
Staff were phenomenal.
Room could have been a bit cleaner.
Great location. Staff was lovely (especially Don, who checked us in and we continually saw and spoke with during our stay). Tasty breakfast. Good size room.
Couldn’t seem to control the thermostat. It was constantly at 75 which was great during the day but we like it cooler at night. It was set to 50 so wasn’t sure what else we could do. No big deal - we just opened the door to let it cool down.
