Umlambo River Lodge

Beautiful accommodation with fantastic views and lovely surroundings. So peaceful! The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were amazing!! We had a wonderful time here!

Great food for dinner and breakfast The Addo gamedrive is expensive but worth every Rand, excellent guide/driver and the lunch was a very good braai with everything you could wish. The truck was loaded with snacks and all kind of drinks!! Bravo to them

Mosquitoes in the evening

Nice rural location with lovely view over the river. Clean and quiet room (except for the odd monkey on the roof!). All the staff were lovely, best cooked breakfast on our trip and excellent 3 course evening meal. We took the guided trip to Addo Elephant Park which was a great way to see the Park.

We stayed in Fish Eagle cottage which was lovely and very private and came complete with its own group of monkeys which was very entertaining. It has direct access to the river and there is a canoe to use should you wish. The river is safe for both swimming and canoeing. The accommodation is spacious, very comfortable and fully equipped, it has a nice large bathroom with both bath and shower. The breakfast is plentiful, varied and delicious. We also had dinner there on both nights we stayed and can recommend them, great food really well presented. They also coped admirably well with the load shedding that happened on the stroke of dinner time, very well done to the chef!

Honestly everything was fabulous about our stay. The views across the river, the opportunity to kayak on the beautiful stretch of river and fantastic food for both dinner and breakfast. We highly recommend this lodge for at least a two night stay.
