9.2 Excellent
Pros: The camp is literally nowhere. After the drive through the official part of the national park there is another 10 km distance, which should be driven with an all-wheel-drive car according to the weather. But you have a clear view from your chalet and can see elephants passing by. The equipment of the chalets was great. Alcoholic drinks of every kind and fine sweets are available. We had great guides who did their job with great passion. The staff was always very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was incredible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A once in a lifetime experience. It starts with the warm welcome and continues with the excellent food, the perfect game drives and the outstanding location inside the Addo NP. The animals enjoy the waterhole which is only a few meters away from the lodge and the guests enjoy the tranquility and hospitality.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, accommodations comfortable and views incredible.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: True luxury glamping experience with some of best views I have ever seen. Gorgeous bathtub and shower with views to the mountain, comfortable and luxurious bed, large balcony for relaxing alone. Property has a pool and lounge area, food in restaurant was excellent. Close drive to Addo. Staff was very friendly and nice, especially in the restaurant. I do recommend arriving in daytime, as the road is long and bumpy, we arrived in the dark and it was not the most pleasant.
Cons: - Did not receive the warmest welcome when we arrived later in evening - Felt pressured to dine in restaurant for every meal - Rooms chilly in evening in winter, however when we told staff they made an extra effort to bring an extra heater and blanket.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The views and the location of the tent. Amazing to relax and recharge batteries
Cons: Not quite comfortable in winter. Room was cold, the hot water was scarce and the shower pressure not strong enough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had booked one of the luxury tents. The views from the porch are nothing short of breathtaking and the tent itself ist styled in a very detailed and loving manner. The whole hotel area is neatly maintained and the restaurant provides changing daily menues with as "South African touch" we stayed four nights and got to try different kinds of game meats at dinner. The breakfast ist very good. Note that the tents are not air conditioned. As we got there in September, it was still pretty Cold at nights, but the hotel provided a gas-heater in the tent and - of course - the howling of the wind is part of the tent experience. During the day it can get really hot in the tent, but most guests will be out exploring Addo Elephant park or other nearby areas during the day anyways. What makes this hotel special, however, are the staff in the first place. Extremely welcoming, and often joking with the guests, but also really interesting to talk to, if you have a serious interest in getting to know more about South Africa and its people. We also had a private day-safari with Simba in Addo-Elephant Park, which is highly recommendable! If you are unexperienced in driving on unpaved roads, be sure to inquire beforehand, how to get to the hotel. We arrived after sunset and had no problems climbing the gravel road on Zuurberg-pass and then the narrow mud-road leading to the hotel in the dark with our Audi A4, but if you are not used to driving such streets, climbing up the mountain in the dark might be a bit scary, so better arrive during daylight.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: Dinner prices were very expensive
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the food was fantastic . The view is pretty special as well
Cons: The road up very bumpy in a small car

7.5 Good
Pros: Great location close to the river Sunday and Addo. Friendly staff and good food at breakfast / dinner
Cons: The accomodation is not extremely clean (not dirty, but could be cleaner). Especially bathroom and kitchen could have some extra cleaning. New towels were still wet and had a unfresh smell. Tap water is not drinkable, but no bottles of water are provided, but a can with filtered water. Cottage is 5 years old but can use a refurbishment. Bed was clean, but sheets had holes in it.

Pros: The b&b is on a family run fruit farm right on the Sunday river it is such a beautiful romantic setting.the rooms are very well looked after and we had a lovely hot shower.even had our own kayak which was great as there's so much wildlife to spot on along the river lots of birds kingfishers, eagles, cranes and many naughty monkeys.the food at umlambo is amazing lots of good quality food all tho for dinner we never had a menu you just have what ever 3 courses that was served which was fine with us hence why we dined there every night at £17pppn along with all beverages (wine) why would u want to go anywhere else. We had a truly fantastic time staying at the umlambo after days out doing safari it was lovely to call umlambo our home for 6 nights we really didn't want to leave.
Cons: Having to leave

7.1 Good
Pros: Great location. Very clean. Friendly staff
Cons: Communication during booking process was poor. Our credit card was billed without authorization for a dinner that was presented as a 6 course meal for R375pp. We were billed R400pp for a barbecue. The owner expressed that he preferred Afrikaans guests and would give them a 50% discount. As English speakers this left us feeling ripped off. We won’t be back

Pros: The room was very spacious, traveling with a little one really felt like holiday. IT has a Bath and a separate shower. Susan was very Nice and accomodating. The breakfasts were a feast Every morning, in the traditionally decorated Cape-Dutch lounge room (complementary sherry). Approx.15 min. Drive to Addo elephant park. I would also recommand eating in the new restaurant of the accomodation. Ramon is a very Good chef, making the most delicious 3-course meal. The car got washed every morning, the staff is really Nice! Would stay here again for sure!
Cons: Perfect! Search no more!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place is great, the host and the staff are fantastic and so friendly. The two watch dogs are kind and adorable too. All in all we are very happy that we chose to stay here, there couldn't have been a better place for us. We would like to thank everybody for their hospitality and we just want to say thank you to everybody for making our stay here perfect. THANK YOU! And keep up the great work. One night I wasn't feeling so great and had a bit of a tummy ache so chef made me a great little take away tray and did a beautiful job at it, thank you so much. And also a special thank you goes out to Russell. Also the property is absolutely gorgeous, it is huge and the garden and the flowers are so well kept. And the sherry that they have is amazing too, you have to try it, it is their welcome drink. It is great to sit in the dinning area, read one of their interesting books in front of the fire place and sip the sherry.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole Geralds Gift experience was fantastic. It is situated in beautiful peaceful gardens and the breakfast was magnificent - kept us going for the whole day. Sue was very helpful with regards to where to have an evening meal and also suggestions of what to see in the area besides the elephant park itself. All in all, a beautiful experience and would highly recommend this accommodation.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Russel was extremely attentive and we could not wish for any more help in making our stay at the guest house and visits to Addo and evening meals out the best that they could have been. This was our second visit in 4 years and the experience was just as good as the first. It was a shame The Eatery was closed but it’s an excuse to come back again in the future.
Cons: I’m not used to dogs but the two here were not a problem at all, despite the size of one. They were friendly but not intimidating.
De Old Drift Guest Farm - Addo - Bedroom
7
9.2 Excellent (325 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at De Old Drift Guest Farm in Addo, you'll be 6.3 mi (10.2 km) from Addo Elephant National Park and 11.4 mi (18.3 km) from Sir Percy Fitzpatrick Lookout. Featured amenities include express check-out, dry cleaning/laundry services, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and friendly staff. Good breakfast and dining facilities.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice fireplace on porch, general beautiful surroundings that are very well maintained. Also, the staff is really friendly!
Cons: There is only one set menu that can be ordered for dinner - and it is very pricey... compared to local prices and other restaurant quality I found the price inappropriate. Generally, the room as well as the restaurant lack a certain cozyness (especially the lights are too bright, tiles in the room are neither very cosy). Also, I thought it would be nice if they sell firewood - as there is a little fireplace outside of each cottage.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Setting, friendly service, gardens. Food. Lovely rural location.
Cons: Windows all had bars on (more so than anywhere else we’ve stayed) and TV on top of the fridge Made it too difficult to view and it looked really uncomfortable. Pool also too cold to use - and, although it’s winter, I did select all bookings for year round pools.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive staff, breakfast and dinner rooms offers nice views
7.5 Good
Cons: Dinner and breakfast too expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very very nice and the apartment very clean. Also they cook everything by themselves and it is very fresh and delicious (fits also the European taste and you can try some African taste if you like). We did the tour to the national park which is arranged by the Old drift and it was amazing as well ! The ranger was so nice and patient by showing us all the animals in Addo. We had an amazing stay and we can highly recommend it. Great start or end of the garden route.
Cons: Addo is the only “thing” you can do in this area. We stayed two nights and went two times to Addo (one time with the ranger and one time on our own) - it was a lovely stay but two nights were enough due to the less activities to do.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable houses. Clean. Friendly staff. Very quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic Rooms were clean and comfortable Food although not a huge choice was very good Elephant park tour was unforgettable
Cons: Nothing could be better other than it being free, but then it was cheap for the high standard we received
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Decent size unit, good shower.
Cons: Wifi was okay’ish. Food is very expensive for what’s on offer. TV in room is tiny.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Most things
Cons: Evening meals lacked a bit of imagination very enjoyable a
River Bend Lodge - Addo - Building
8
9.2 Excellent (176 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at River Bend Lodge in Addo, you'll be in a national park, just steps from Addo Elephant National Park. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing could not have asked for more Sams food was out of this world
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: River Bend Lodge exceeded my expactations greatly! The room was very large, comfortable and very private. The views over the reserve were beautiful. The staff are friendly and really made an effort to make the stay special. The breakfasts and dinner are of a very high standard. There are daily game drives (early morning and late afternoon) offered by the lodge in their private concession of the Addo Elephant Park and the lodge is conveniently situated to self-drive in the main park area. (Note that you are not able to self drive in the concession and if the weather is wet, the lodges rangers are not able to do game drives in the concession either as the tracks become too slippery for the game viewing vehicles, but the will take you into the main park area.)
Cons: If you book the bed & breakfast rate you have to pay a number of extras, such as game park entry fee, conservation / concession fee. Obviously you expect to pay extra for dinner, game drives etc. However, at the time of my booking there is no indication of how much all these things cost on the Booking.com website or on the lodge's own website. You receive an email with this information as soon as you have made the booking. So that you know what to expect it would be much better if these costs are properly detailed in the hotel listing here. Having said that, I don't think that the costs for dinner or drinks are at all bad considering the high quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great experience! We were very well received by the manager Wayne and were fortunate to have the Lodge to ourselves all weekend! We were the only guests !! We did the safari with our friend Noma the Ranger, great company and explained us a lot about the park and the animals! Was very good! Excellent room, spotless breakfast and dinner and first-rate service! We recommend and will certainly be back in the summer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an absolutely fabulous time at River Bend Lodge. I highly recommend this wonderful place - our accommodation even had a view over a watering hole where a turtle, warthogs, ostriches, baboons, zebras and a whole herd of elephants came visiting. Loved the outdoor shower. Wonderfully friendly, competent and welcoming staff. We loved it so much, we stayed an extra night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Wonderful stay. Great and very attentive staff to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Great food. Hands up to Emma the chef. A special thank you to John our ranger who went the extra mile for a very special game drive. Unforgettable experience.
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The food was delicious. The staff were friendly. Excellent location.
Cons: Rooms were fairly small and modest. TV in room did not work. Wifi did not work 50 per cent of the time. After booking I was told the spa therapist was on annual leave - a major reason I had booked at the lodge in the first place. Room took a long time to warm up - we were uncomfortably cold. Had to flush the toilet twice. Not luxury accommodation at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great house and gardens and bedrooms
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - The hotel was very calm and clean. Reception lady was so professional. The safari experience was great. Our guide Darlington was very funny and wise at the same time. He was like “zorba the buddha”. Very respectful with the nature and the animals. The rooms was perfect, the food and the waitress team was great at service. 10/10
Cons: Of course this is Africa! :) There were some little bugs and flies in the room. But the rooms were very luxurious and classy at the same time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect!!! Our Ranger John just made every effort to make we see the Animals, Elephants, Lions, Zebras etc.... couldn’t be better. Debbie, the manager is just a Lovely person that make we feel like that we are at home For sure this will life memories for me, my wife Luise and our young Boy Noah❤️
Cons: It’s all perfect

Pros: Alison and her family are very nice. They care about us and make is very comfortable. You can see zebras around the house. My lodge was really great... hot water in shower. A lot of cute dogs to welcome us... I really loved that smart and easygoing "babies". I thing the dogs was what I liked the most. Alison offers tour services... a little expensive for me but I am sure they can offer such a nice experience to you. Great breakfast.
Cons: No internet in the lodge just in the house.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The interaction with the staff and owners was exceptional, the attention to all clients was continuous. The dinners and atmosphere was excellent and relaxed. Breakfasts were comprehensive and more than adequate. The owners took me around the ranch to see the aloes and succulents which are my field.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Could not have asked for a better place to stay! Alison and Andrew couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly; their knowledge of the things to do around Addo was exceptional and they were more than happy to help plan your stay and maximise your time with them. The food was delicious and dinner was definitely worth staying in for; the braai was amazing! The accommodation was superb and very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The excellent hospitality from Allison and Andrew
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location l, the game lodge has their own wild life as in zebra's which we saw really close and much more running around. The accommodation had simple lodges with all you need and a general area with a camp fire, a bar and a pool table. Which we used to have a drink and discuss everything we saw that day. We also had dinner at lodge which I can recommend to do. It's a short drive to the addo national park and we where provide the best driving routes from the staff and a bagg for a picknick. We did a self drive in the park and a night safari when the park closes this meant we had two hours extra in the park. I would 100% recommend you to go here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a lovely holiday and the owners are great people. We will definitely be there again and soon.
8.3 Excellent

Pros: Delicious breakfast.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast facility was good and service for breakfast was good , the general outlook of the place was very pleasant.
Cons: The room was very cold and lighting a bit poor. Towels was a bad quality , they need to address the interior design of the room I stayed in , It was very basic compared to the daily charged rate.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely place to stay close to Addo park! The bush cabin was well furnished, clean and comfortable, and had an excellent view. Thank you guys for making our stay very warm and welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The uniqueness and the privacy of the Dungbettle unit, set well apart from each other to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Also the close proximity of Elephant park and other facilities. The Hosts are very friendly informative and inhospitable.
Cons: There could have been larger coffee mugs . Means of mopping up water after using the shower.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, nice price l, oved the dung beetje cabins Was kind of sad that i booked the aelfcatered cabins had my first night in the beetle huts , second night i had to go to the cabin. Both are great, the dungbeetle cabins cabins are more luxurious the aelfcatered are back 2 basics , borh theyre charme
Cons: Nothing at all
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very interesting concept. we spent a night in the dung beetle room (a little concrete cave shaped like a dung beetle). the room was very nice, amenities were all there and clean! after that we spent 2 nights in a self catering chalet. the Chalet was great, great view to wake up to, nice starry skies, you can make a fire in the evening... outdoor shower and toilet is a refreshing concept, and although it's outdoor, still very comfortable. The jacuzzi is also great! Staff is very nice, Joe and Trenett make you feel like home and genuinely care about your comfort and well-being! Congrats on the upcoming wedding you guys! :)
Cons: Breakfast was rather disappointing if you take into account the extra cost. And as a fan of fresh orange juice, I was really hoping it would include more than just one small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. It was a bit ironic this was limited while you're literally spending your nights in between the citrus trees... We felt that the extra's in general, such as the breakfast and the offered dinner weren't worth the cost.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast, good bed, loved the outside shower (it was warm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - wonderful place, be sure to take the dung beetle - you can dine on 3 nights in the week (reservation) - enjoy a good glass of wine next to the pool - close to the entrance of Addo

Pros: Excellent service! The people at Chrislin go beyond what is required of them to make one's stay a pleasant one. We will most certainly be coming back in future!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is so clean, peaceful and just outstanding. 5 star accomodation and treatment.
Cons: It was outstanding. Thank you Madi you are such a nice person. Jack stole my heart.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation, food and staff were all excellent. The Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the room was clean and very nice.
Cons: It is a general thing in South Africa- the showers are all up and if you don’t want to wash your hair it is a bit difficult to shower.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A good breakfast and perfect for the day trip to see Addo Elephant National Park. Our day trip was arranged with the host using a company using CrissCross adventures - this was a truly excellent day out with a pick up from the property itself, so extremely convenient.
Cons: Food was good but we felt a little rushed - this may have been because the main restaurant was closed for renovation (as this was the Winter off season).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chrislin was absolutely lovely. Here are some of the highlights: - The staff are incredibly helpful. I worked with them to schedule a variety of tours and restaurant reservations. They also allowed us to stay late on our checkout day as we had a late flight. Honestly, I can't sing their praises enough. - Breakfasts are delicious and hot dishes are made to order. - The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are large, and the shower is hot and has good water pressure. - The grounds are beautiful. It was great to be able to sit outside on our hut's porch and listen to the birds and play with the dogs. - The location is great and offers close access to Addo and restaurants.
Cons: We would've loved if the restaurant was open for dinner, but unfortunately it was closed for reservations (June). However, the staff provided information about nearby restaurants that were only a short drive away, which were all great.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Not enough hot water very limited kitchen facailities
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Extraordinary, very tasty dinner and breakfast, really nice garden, extremely nice staff, familiar atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting, and a wonderful host. Breakfasts were generous and well prepared, and the setting is perfect for exploring Addo and surrounds. Birdlife on the property is exquisite.
Cons: Unfortunately we couldn't get the solar geyser to run hot, we ran the water for ages. Perhaps just a temporary snag.
7.5 Good
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool area.
Cons: Dog barking at night and noise due to a party in the vicinity. Needs a radio or some interesting books in the room as there is not much to do in the evenings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the flapjack stack and fresh orange juice for breakfast. Dinner was delicious. Large room in an excellent location.
Cons: Better than expected.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We left every morning too early for breakfast. The last day we enjoyed the breakfast. Every thing in the plate was delicious. Plus I had the best blue cheese with warm bread!
Cons: A take away breakfast option as we left early every morning, would be nice.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food outstanding. Gardens delightful Staff superb
7.9 Good
Pros: Big and clean room. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Mattrass is in need of replacement. We asked if the receptionist could book us a tour for the Addo Elephant National Park. After confirmation we were charged 100 rand for each person which is ridiculous!!! for just one phonecall. We were not informed in advance about these costs. It would be nice to know in advance that charges are applicable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was very acceptable and fulfilled both our needs and expectations however the dining experience was truly excellent! The food was "fine dining" and memorable. We will certainly consider a return visit especially for the food. The grounds were beautiful and overall it has been a more than pleasant experience.
Cons: The main building is rather dark and a little tired. Of concern was the flimsy balcony rail and steps up to the first floor bedroom - any serious pressure on the balcony rail and there was a significant risk of it collapsing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden, quirky dining room, open fireplace, helpful staff and we loved the wonderful food
Cons: Room decor dated
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even if we arrived late night, we were welcomed lovely and got an amazing three-course menu served! So if you think about staying in Hopefield, definitely book yourself in for the dinner! The huge room and bathroom is well equipped and clean! The entire property is very tidy and you have a nice view on the pool area and the nature! The accommodation is just around 10km from the Addo Elephant Parc, so it’s the perfect location for a day trip to the parc!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and gardens. Great restaurant.
Cons: The room towels were small and a little smelly in both the rooms we occupied.

Pros: The ownsers are awesome people and we enjoyed the facilities and the farm is really beautiful. The pool and trees make for a relaxing day with friends. The rooms are well equipped and the braai is big.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Far from the madding crowd, Happy Lands is aptly named. The gardens with their stunning huge trees, and citrus groves are a beautiful work of loving hands, and create what can only be described as a haven of peace. Mike and Nita were so hospitable and kind; their daughter in law's food delicious; the breakfasts wholesome and generous; wonderfully affordable rooms beautifully appointed and equipped...I slept so well I'd have happily taken the whole bed home with me. I had a Victorian claw-foot bath as well as a private outdoor shower that was really pretty, secluded and satisfying - lovely hot water, with good pressure from a great shower head, and no clogged drains. My friend's room was large and comfortable and just as well thought out. The personnel were sweet, competent, kind and polite ... should I be telling you all this, or should I keep this treasure for myself?! That's the conundrum! Having decided to share this gem with other travelers, I can only say that my friends and I were so very happy to have started our South African journey in such a beautiful place, on such a positive note. Thank you Mike and Nita for opening your hearts to so many people and sharing your home with us all. With warmth and appreciation from Hely, Elina and Che
Cons: Please make more of that delicious lemon/orange marmelade so that we can take some home with us! :) Please put names on your beautiful trees and flower beds so we can learn about your garden. Please don't change anything else. We love it just the way it is.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rooms, very friendly hosts and organised a half day drive through Addo Elephant Park with a wonderful driver, Emmanuel. A highlight was seeing lion and lioness up close.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room certainly exceeded our expectations- we stayed in the clemantine room, and the size was great, the shower was lovely (with a sliding door to the outside) and the bed was huge :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, freedom to walk around farm
Cons: Directions to get there were not provided, we ended up driving 20 km down a rough dirt road
7.5 Good
Cons: We never booked breakfast for Sunday as we had other plans When we returned to the guest house the owners were rude and stated they had prepared breakfast for us and we just didn’t pitch They then went on to just deduct the money from my account for the accommodation and the breakfast! We were going to settle cash. I was charged an extra R200 for no reason

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The location was great, being only 5 minutes from Addo elephant park. Unfortunately, the extreme security measures implemented (boundary razor wire, electric fence, bars on every window etc) made the area feel much more threatening than was necessary. Having the owner staring at you from across the street added to the feel we were in a prison yard.
Cons: Despite still photographing well, the accommodation is extremely run down (broken attic window, rotting rear steps, unpainted plasterboard patches, broken lights just to give a few examples). The rooms were not cleaned properly as we discovered through for example stained underwear and other items left behind by previous occupants. Although advertised as a self-contained unit, cooking was almost impossible due to the lack of ventilation and extraction fan. Due to the hard to open security grills, bars on all windows and the lack of smoke detectors, the place is also a fire death trap. Compared to all the other accommodation we stayed at during our lengthy SA stay, this was severely over-priced.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: the cattle and goat in the streets
7.1 Good
Pros: I was under the impression that the property photo reflected on the web site, was where my guests and I would be staying. Disappointed to find it wasn't. Is this know as false advertising.
Cons: The hostess Vicky was excellent, and very friendly. The beds were, very!!!! comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Vicky, the einer, is super friendly. She just lives around the corner. We were the only guests so we had the whole house for us. You are allowed to use the kitchen, watch tv, do everything you would do at home. Nice, clean rooms, good wifi, close to Addo! Definitively a recommedation!
Cons: My friend did not like the hard mattress in the bed. I slept perfectly though.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful garden, nice room, good bed.
Cons: No food available to us after a day-long drive to get there - not even breadcrumbs! We were in a room, not a self catering unit. We were told that we had to book dinner in advance. They could not spare a sandwich, as they only had enough for next morning's breakfast. We were told to go to Kirkwood for dinner - on a Sunday night, when everything was closed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All round good, friendly people and food was great.
Cons: N/A
4.6 Okay
Pros: Spacious apartment
Cons: The staff doesn't seem to care about the guests at all. Some points: - The swimming pool is dirty. There are plenty of men working around the apartments, but somehow the swimming pool has no priority whatsoever. When I asked the manager if I could take a swim, she said that she would have someone clean the pool (never happened). See pictures. Interestingly, they decided to put on the sprinklers for watering the garden during the day. This way we were not able to get to the apartment or the swimming pool without getting wet. The receptionist noticed this and did not take action. - The apartment was freezing cold (September) and we could not get the heating in the apartment to work. After asking the reception we were told that the guest before us had broken the heating and that that someone would come the next day to fix the heating (we never heard anything again and the next day the heating was still broken). - by the way, better save up your laundry for another place, since Kududu charges quite a lot for taking care of your laundry (16 ZAR per pair of trousers).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and great friendly host. Beautiful setting.
Cons: The dinner was a little over priced for what you get.
8.3 Excellent
