The bedrooms large and comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely and the service excellent. We had the breakfast which was very good too.
Only problem for me was the stairs as my walking isn't particularly good but that wasn't a hotel problem. Couldn't fault anything at all.
Location for arrival by car, on edge of city. 30 minutes walk to city centre after sitting in car most of day. Could have got bus number 51 €2.80 each way and bus stops virtually outside hotel, which we used on way back to hotel. Free, ample parking.
Asked for double bed... Got two single duvets. 2 slabs under the mattress missing and room had a strange smell so had to air it out. Didn't like that I couldn't help myself to coffee at breakfast. Had to wait for someone to come and serve it.
The restaurant was great and convenient as we used this as a stopover and not to be close to town for sightseeing. Also good location for rejoining the motorway. Good eating space outside. The staff were friendly.
When we checked in, we were told that their system would not let them complete the check in process. They told us that the booking.com 79 Euros price didn't exist. We ended up paying 97 Euros. In the room there's a tariff which shows a double room starts at 97 Euros. I went on booking.com from the room and the rate still less than the 97 Euros. Even today, a month later, the rooms are bookable at 78 Euros! Not good value. The room was large enough, but dated.
Very good restaurant and decent quality breakfast. Locate on the outskirts but it was to get into Aachen either by car or public transport.
