Please keep in mind this is a 4 star hotel. 1) Room fraud: we booked the room because of the photos the hotel attached for the room. Advertisted room was really spacious and its bathroom had both a bath and a shower. When we arrived we were told that our room is in a currently reconstructed area and we were getting a better, much better room. When we came to the room - we found it to be completely different from the advertisment. The bed occupied almost all space in the room, the fridge door couldn’t be opened fully because of it, it was miniature and claustrophobic. We asked for a different room and after having to argue the photos weren’t from a good angle, but of a different room - we received a bit bigger room. The front desk staff said “you know how business works”... And the bathroom was very small too, with just a shower cabin - no bath. 2) Hall: in many places in the hotel and in the room one could find stuff that makes no sense or doesn’t work as expected. In the hall leading to the room was an electric shoe cleaner. When I first saw it, next to it was lying a disconnected wire. The day after, a girl plugged it in to clean her shoes - it was working (albeit with a bit weird sound). Next morning it was disconnected again. Basically it was lying dead there until the end of our vacation. Didn’t operate, looked misplaced. No one cared. Not pretty and totally useless. 3) Room inside: (1) door stopper wasn’t flush with the floor - it wasn’t screwed in correctly, it was at 45 degrees to the floor. My husband had to correct and screw it in by force. I guess his workouts finally paid off. (2) you would always damage the inside of a wardrobe door with the sharp safe locker door corners if the safe wasn’t locked. It would bang heavily. (3) the shower doors were getting stuck on the floor and leaking a lot, getting in the shower was very impractical and uncomfortable. Inside of the wardrobe didn’t allow to hang any clothes longer than a standard t-shirt.
4) Buffet area. (1) The staff were very unproffesional. First evening after we came very tired - we got seated in a sort of family-with-children area (every table had a small-child seat). It was very crowded and noisy with kids, we had to ask for a different place. (2) For breakfast you would only be able to fill child size glasses (150 ml?) so you would need to go multiple times to hydrate yourself for 30+ degrees C weather. (3) the juice machine would overfill the little child glass. (4) we asked for bigger glasses and were met with a remark “what? For breakfast?”. (5) I’m a vegetarian (my husband isn’t). There basically wasn’t any food for me. I could make a salad or get a pizza piece. Otherwise the food contained meat. No one understood what vegetarians eat, I guess according to them I should have had a carrot with tomato everyday. I asked the chefs almost every day of the stay to please prepare something hot and vegetarian. Everyday felt like nobody remembered. If there was a hot vegetarian dish - it was boiled kale or similar. Many dishes they offered were single ingredients - califlower or brocolli - and you couldn’t make whole food of it. No sauce was available. (6) My husband was also dissapointed, as food was generally very oily. He said that last day even non-vegetarian dishes looked very distasteful - some of it looked like prison food. And that coming from a person he can eat pretty much eat anything. (7) For some reason everytime you asked for “little bit of” anything, they would give you a huge portion so I received a whole plate of big pieces of mozarella from the kitchen. 5) Bar area. Cocktails were mostly made by the machine and many ingredients were missing (try ordering a virgin mojito - receive water with syrup tasting like a cheap watermelon gum, no sugar, no lime or mint). Pizza was burnt and dried. Veggiburger was basically some tomatoes and lettuce put inside two bread buns. There is a big “dj area”. Finally one day the dj came and started p
At the check in noone told us the water in the pool is not heated because of some kind of breakdown. We came to that hotel with two small children just because of the inside pool and the fact it is family hotel. We thought it will be fixed soon but they couldn't give us information when the pool will be heated. So the time passed by, we lost one whole day and we decided to check out. The personnel were very nice except certain ms Silvija who was rather arrogant and regarding our problem told us: It is, what it is... the waiters were really nice ,food could be better... also they gave us discount 20% because of the pool breakdown but I am just sorry the didn't tell us immediately there is a problem. My kids were really disaponted and our mini vacation was destroyed. We were at Diadora Falkensteiner before and all I give all my recommendations for that hotel.
Very clean and modern room. Nice furniture, comfortable bed. The spa is nice and very relaxing. The food is great with so many choices and free drinks.
Spa. Staff at travel desk.
No air conditioning in rooms. Mediocre food. Rude staff at cafeteria
Good food, especially the salads and fruit. Lovely terrace near the seaside for having coffee, drinks etc. In the spa a large area for relaxing, an okay sauna and a wide range of different massages and other services offered.
The restaurant was very crowded and noisy at dinner time.
