Dave the barman/reception was excellent, couldn’t have done more to help.
The property was nice and owner is so friendly. Had a good time there.
Bathroom glass door wasn't properly closed while taking bath in room number 1. That should be corrected.
Breakfast was nice, the pub downstairs is very convenient! Located near lots of cafes, restaurants and about a 10 minute drive away is Bowness-on-Windermere with lots of lovely walks and a lovely little town/village. The hairdryer in the rooms are actually good!!
We had breakfast on the Saturday morning and when we were on our way out (about an hour later) we noticed the plates still hadn’t been moved. When checking out on the Sunday the players were still there and hadn’t been moved literally in the same position. When we got there on the Friday there was a Halloween party going on which was good but it lasted until 4am and we were really tired but couldn’t sleep! The room me and my boyfriend stayed in was Quite small and the bed wasn’t very comfy at all gave us bad backs. Also I’m not sure if the bedding was clean and got changed everyday, when we were going to bed i noticed a weird tiny orange stain. Also the shower wouldn’t stay up, the head kept sliding down so after about 5 minutes in there you have to keep hold of it to make sure it doesn’t smack you on the head.
Friendly staff and meals are good value
Bathroom light was poor and no heating in room at time of stay
