Very clean fantastic staff evening meal was superb, breakfast was excellent, lovely place to stay
Little noise from room above, we stayed in room 25 and bedroom floor above was at times very noisy
The location of this property was ideal. Walking distance to all amenities and facilities. It was also quiet and set in beautiful gardens. Added bonus was private parking. The food was excellent and definitely a large choice for breakfast. The service was professional and friendly. We would recommend this hotel and should we ever return to the Lake District, then this hotel would be our first choice.
The weather, but nobody can odds that.
Main building reception, restaurant area are excellent, very friendly staff and owner and the breakfast is superb. Central location is also very good.
Bathroom a little small especially with the toilet crammed between the bath and the wall. Felt the rooms and immediately outside the rooms look a little tired. Bed was more a 3/4 rather than a double so space a little restricted.
The location was good, set in pretty grounds. Walking distance to Lake and town amenities. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean with plenty of room. The bed was comfy. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was very good, a full and varied choice cooked freshly to your order, or continental style choices from the breakfast table.
A few of the furnishings were getting tired, but perhaps that's being picky.
great location, excellent breakfast and evening meal, staff very helpful and friendly.
the only downfall was no drought beer only cans on sale.
