The hotel is in a good location.
Perfect location, cozy rooms, good value for money.
The air conditioner was really really loud, to the level that you end up waking up in the middle of night. Staff would mix up and instead leaving a shampoo and a conditioner would leave two conditioners..
Location was ideal for Metro Access, restaurants, and in a good neighborhood in downtown DC. The room was similar to European hotels I have stayed in while traveling in Italy, Paris, and Istanbul. The Architect is in an older, about 125 year old building, which is brought up to up to date with contemporary bath with hair dryer. The electric outlets have USB ports. WIFI is available, but I did not use it. The TV channels are minimal, which was no issue for me. I loved being in a hotel and room with a sense of history. The price was very reasonable price.
The AC/heating unit is close to the bed, so the some people might want to sleep with earplugs. The bed covers were a bit thin by American standards.
Internet Staff support was weak
All the basics (only) for a great price
The price was right for a three day conference. Location good, bed comfortable environs safe.
Only one ice machine in the building (first floor), no mini- fridge in room, coffee available only on first floor, one of two elevators was broken. Room very sparsely furnished - only one chair
