Try a Good Deal
you can find a better price at hilton homepage. I got a free wifi at lower price. building is quite old( built in 1943 and is a national heritage) but managed excelently. I arrived at noon and a staff gave a room just cleaned-up for an early check-in. official check-in time is 4pm. staffs are super-friendly. location is just behind the whitehouse and at the K street known as a DC's splendid street. we could find every kinds of restaurants within 10-min walk. I want to use this hotel again if I could visit DC with my family again.
When I opened room door, I found directly two beds. if there were a person at the corridor, he could have seen anything going on in the room.
It was in a great location and has a very opulent feel when you enter.
The gym is not included in your stay unless you are a certain level Hilton Rewards member. The beds were not as comfy as I expected for a Hilton.
Great hotel for the value!
The staff was excellent, friendly and welcoming! Great location, clean and very spacious room. Will definitely book again when back in DC!
The room was excellent. Staff very courteous, friendly and helpful.
I thought the cost for overnight parking at $59.00 was high for a guest in the hotel
Room. Cleanliness. Privacy.
Early morning construction noise nightmare
Spacious room with super comfortable bed.
No warning for the loud construction noise just outside our bed window at 6:30 am Sunday and then 5:30 Monday am. When we complained the front desk said nothing could be done.
Mediocre for expensive.
Location was excellent, most staff was nice and helpful.
If you wanted Wifi, you had to pay extra. Channels on the television had horrible reception 9/10 times. One bellhop was incredibly rude when I asked to use a luggage cart, that were kept in their storage room at the moment, as I had multiple heavy bags to load in my car. Parking was outrageous per day ($60). This parking fee was also not included on Kayak or Pricline.
Room wasn't clean. Carpet smelt like cigarette. They charged me for parking that I did not use.
Proximity to WH
I did not like the fact I had to pay valet for parking or find my own. I feel if I m paying for the comfort of staying out of town then that is something that should be included.
Friendly helpful staff in downtown DC.
The air conditioning in the room wasn't very good. It didn't feel like it dropped below 70F while set to 60F in November.
Great location, poor air quality in some rooms and
Excellent location for much of downtown DC.
Around Midnight my room filled with old cigarette smoke as someone began smoking in the stairwell. The air quality overall in my particular room was poor, requiring the windows to be opened as much as possible. This of course made it difficult to sleep as the city sounds in DC near The White House are loud and replete with sirens 24/seven. Normally, one might cover one's ears to have silence. However, at this hotel the pillows are the size for small children.
