The staff were really nice.
Information about feeding was scanty.
The room was lovely, comfortable bed and nice big locker. Perfect location as it’s close to town, breakfast looked good too, and the kitchen was well equipped.
The kitchen was sometimes unclean and there is only 2 toilets and 2 showers per floor. The hostel itself is quite big so many people using the same facilities and it can get crowded or noisy. The road noise is a problem too
It was really dirty and the kitchen missed a lots of stuffs for cooking.
Good location, baggage storage
I couldn't find showers useful nor private. I had troubles with the shower system, couldn't be just a normal handle to turn on the water as usual?? Also no space to hang the clothes or towels inside the shower cabin so before/after shower you have to get out to reach your stuff.
The location is the biggest perk of this hostel. It's right on the eastern edge of the center and pretty much close to everything. There's a big Corte Inglés nearby, and it's close to the "river" Turia that was converted into a green space. I liked the fact that the rooms were for only 6 people (not 8-10 like other hostels). The sheets were very clean, and the rooms had a nice view of Calle de la Paz. The kitchen/common area was clean and a nice area to relax. There seemed to be a decent amount of food storage space for dry goods and perishables.
They probably should provide more storage space for luggage since it seemed to be a problem in our room. We all had our own lockers under the beds, and there were 4 bigger lockers next to one of the bunk beds. Although the bathrooms were clean, they didn't smell that great. The WiFi network was quite slow throughout the entire building. The kitchen would sometimes get quite messy, but that was probably due to the guests. There were quite a few families with young children staying at the hostel; that's not what I usually expect at a hostel. There's nothing wrong with that; I just don't prefer it.
With a stay at Red Nest Hostel in Valencia (Valencia City Centre), you'll be a 4-minute walk from University of Valencia and 5 minutes by foot from Plaza de la Reina. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
