Pros: Loved the amenities at the property. The pool, the views, the gardens full of birds.
Cons: The restaurant Chandni at the property has a stunning view with traditional dance program in the evenings. We chose this primarily because of this aspect but the food itself fell short. We ordered the thalis which were right up there in pricing but fell short in the taste/texture aspects. The Biryani that we also ordered another day was freshly perpared but the rice was undercooked. The taste/execution of the dishes fell short and I think they need to innovate more rather than serve the same dishes that you would get everywhere else in Rajasthan and terribly fall short.

Cons: The standard of guests coming to the hotel has changed. Found a lot of people abusing the property. Going into the places where one would not be allowed previously. Guests were using the phones and talking loudly on the speaker in the hotel area. This should not be allowed as it disturbs other guests, who have come for peace and quiet in the Oberoi Vilas properties.

Cons: Room was smelling of mold when we arrived. The cleaning team exchanged the curtains for clean curtains, with a good improvement. Stained sofa, smelling of food, probably from some previous guest who dropped food on the sofa. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired: some fruits for breakfast were not fresh, western food overblown in butter and balsamic vinegar, raw risotto, chicken soup with no taste at all. Much lower standard than Agra's Oberoi.

Pros: It’s a beautiful property! Out of three day, we went out to explore Udaipur only once. The property is perfect for people who just want to stay in and relax. You can chill at the temperature controlled pool or drink at the Dar”Bar”. We played a game of pool after our dinner. The food is mind blowing! I obviously tried the Laal Maans. The staff is very helpful and friendly and made our stay very Royal yet homely.

Cons: Firstly we had booked two rooms for a family and adjacent rooms were to be given for the same I had also placed a request for the same but on arrival we were told that we had rooms in 2 different lanes altogether. So after requesting them we got some how a little nearer rooms and they said just that because they had to adjust we got our room after 1 and half hour and 2nd room literally 2 and half hours after making endless calls.. the front desk was way too rude on our face.. never visiting ananta again....

The dining and kitchen staff were above and beyond helpful and gracious. All the staff members were very helpful and made you feel like you were home with family. A wonderful venue for a destination wedding.
Cons: Rooms were a bit chilly, but the staff were quick to accommodate with space heaters. Showers had limited hot water in the geysers. If you go, try to get a room in the main building, rooms are much nicer than the other buildings on campus

Cons: I did not like the breakfast at all. I stayed for 2 nights and both the days they did not have any variety. Forget variety the taste was so pathetic that we had to have fruits. Staff is super rude. They didn't have smile on their face even once in our entire stay. The resort is at a small hill hence connectivity was an issue . Inspite of having wifi facility we could make most of it coz we hardly got any signal

The swimming pool is such a treat, clean and sparking - you could spend the entire day in it. The restaurant is magnificent offering a full range of Indian and Rajasthani food - you have to try the buffet, it’s fantastic. The breakfast is never ending and the masala tea a favourite. As for the staff, they make the stay extremely special, every single one of them outstanding and offering a personal service making us feel like royalty. To name but a few, a special thank you to Manish, Monish, Kailash, Jyoti, Sindhu, Syar, Sanjan Ankur and Janki and of course, Mr Tarun the manager. In the reception thanks go to Mr Yeshupal and his colleagues.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and missed it as soon as we were driving away. Location: the hotel is set in a rural spot surrounded by local villages untouched by the busy Udaipur life, it has a small school next door which is a must visit and a fulfilling experience. The hotel is situated next to a beautiful lake and the local mountain range surrounds the setting. The sunset across the lake shows that the hotel was well thought out. The Rooms: spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Lovely big beds and and big stone bath in a great sized bathroom. Balconies with a great view of the lake. Swimming pool: clean and relaxing with the sun shining on it from early morning till sunset. Restaurant: superb food whether the buffet or per menu, cooked to your liking Staff: one of the best experiences of the stay. The staff, whether in the restaurant, the reception, housekeeping or generally around the estate are all warm, courteous, polite and attentive. We had the great pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Pradyuman Singh. It’s clear the the staff are so exceptional and the resort is run so well due to Mr Singh’s captaincy, highly professional but with a soft touch - he was always around but almost like a resident and not a manager. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much and thank all the staff for making our visit so special and look forward to visiting again.

Pros: The location of the proper is quite secluded therefore it’s quite peaceful and with an amazing view. The rooms are quite spacious and has plenty of sunlight. The staff was really courteous and helped us throughout. It was quite homely rather than being hyper professional wherein the touch of human interaction is lost.

Restaurant: superb food whether the buffet or per menu, cooked to your liking Staff: one of the best experiences of the stay. The staff, whether in the restaurant, the reception, housekeeping or generally around the estate are all warm, courteous, polite and attentive. We had the great pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Pradyuman Singh. It’s clear the the staff are so exceptional and the resort is run so well due to Mr Singh’s captaincy, highly professional but with a soft touch - he was always around but almost like a resident and not a manager. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much and thank all the staff for making our visit so special and look forward to visiting again.

Pros: Not much. Its alright if you want to get away from the city and enjoy remoteness away from all the attractions.
Cons: Everything. Remoteness, lack of vehicles when required. Takes almost an hour for someone to come in. Managers attitude was good however staff not so much. Breakfast was terrible and cold. We payed Rs 35,000 for 4 days and only stayed 2 days knowing we will not get a refund. We were there for short term and didn't want to waste time in travelling. Worse location because if you decide to go out in the evening, not many people will be happy to drive you back to the resort via multiple villages.

Pros: The location of the proper is quite secluded therefore it’s quite peaceful and with an amazing view. The rooms are quite spacious and has plenty of sunlight. The staff was really courteous and helped us throughout. It was quite homely rather than being hyper professional wherein the touch of human interaction is lost.
Cons: The location again being very remote makes it difficult to get conveyance. We need to book a cab 2 hours prior through the hotel if needed to go out or else there are options from outside as one can arrange. The bathrooms looked a little unkept as things were rusty.

We had a online deal, which they had a problem honoring and then we were happy to pay higher, and then we're told tax would be on top afterwards. Cons: I was overcharged (I was charged in euro at and extremely bad rate, instead of rupees as I was told I was paying; the difference was of around 6%). The room was not cleaned during the day, they wanted to clean it at 7PM when we returned to the room. When we arrived, we found a used razor by the side of the bathroom, making it clear the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The food at the restaurants was very expensive.

Cons: The toilets, as in the commode was not very clean. We had to ask for a change of room and had the housekeeping clean the same. Also the television wasn’t working, but this wasn’t a deal because we were mostly exploring the city. WiFi is available only in the reception area, so in case you need to download, you would have to walk up to the area of network.

Cons: The location was very poor, the bathroom in the rooms leak, only big groups are their priority, things in the menu are not avaible, staff is very rude, the flush in the toilet doesn't work, there isn't warm water in the shower and lastly we are happy to leave from there.

Early check in was not provided despite majority of the rooms in the hotel were vacant. They're not fulfilling the Cambay kind of expectations.
