Located too far from main tourist attractions with inadequate public transportation. We walked, but it was long walks and we spent most of the day walking.
I thought it was closer to Trier centre than it was. 10 mins by bus, 30 mins walk to Porta Nigra. No restaurants in immediate vicinity.
The outlook was lovely overlooking the Moselle
Everything about this hotel. It is nothing like the pictures on the website. They don't have a restaurant - only for breakfast. No lovely tablecloths and settings on the balcony as shown. The room was not updated and was old and dingy. The website stated that the hotel had been renovated and updated - not where we stayed. There was only 1 staff member on at one time. The poor young lady in the morning was in the restaurant as well as trying to check out guests. It was not her fault but it is obvious the management don't have much respect for their guests.
1. Breakfast offered hard boiled eggs only. 2. Breakfast room recently renovated. 3. Good parking facilities.
1. Bathroom - Shower enclosure covered by mildew. 2. Room carpet with a lot of stains. 3. Beds are soft like hammocks. 4. Few electrical outlets to charge I-phone, I-pad. 5. Hotel has a nice view of the city, albeit a little far away from historical attractions and restaurants.
A lovely view across the river, right next to the Römerbrücke, and easy to walk across the bridge into the town and within walking distance of the Porta Nigra, Karl Marx birthplace, museums, restaurants and cathedral. Parking was just across the street in a private car park that required a token from the reception staff. Rooms were fairly large with good sized bathrooms.
With a stay at Hotel Römerbrücke in Trier, you'll be a 3-minute drive from Porta Nigra and 6 minutes from Arena Trier. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
