Pros: We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. This is no exception as we think it is better to enjoy local cafes than spend a lot of money on breakfasts in hotels. We generally get much better coffee outside of hotels! The quality of the dinner we had was excellent - except for one mishap - see below.

Cons: A few small things that can be improved:
1) in a five star Hotel I expect at least two free bottles of water every day
2) no Kleenex box in the bathroom
3) staff was overwhelmed during busy breakfast hours. Breakfast items running out fast and being replaced only very, very slowly and after asking for them.
4) staff answering incoming calls did not make any effort to locate us in the breakfast room when an international call came in for us.
As I said, nothing important, but should be improved.

Cons: we were advised at check in that there would maintenance at the property. not sure who thought this one through but it meant electricity was cut at 5am and all the emergency lights came on .. waking the whole hotel. would have been better if this work would have been scheduled later in the day when most guests are out of the hotel. our room although lovely had massive cobwebs. A small detail but the music in reception wasn't in keeping with the hotel

Cons: Only one bottle of complementary water in our bedroom and only on the day of arrival. This is the first Marriott hotel where I haven't had two bottles every night of my stay, and I've stayed in lots of Marriotts. Also, although there weren't many guests in the bar or the restaurant, the barman had to double as waiter on one night, which wasn't very satisfactory. My pork fillet was ordered 'medium' but came 'blue' (very rare) - mistakes happen I guess.

Cons: When driving, hotel was very, very hard to find in oldest part of Toledo (took us 1-1/2 hrs.), with steep hills, one-way streets; people on the streets didn't know of the hotel, or didn't know where it is; or didn't know how to get there by car. GPS had nervous breakfdown. Parking in the nearby garage was expensive (17 euros/night). This was the only Spanish hotel of eight we stayed in that didn't have a computer for use of guests. They advertise a spa, but only a very small exercise room is available free to guests; you can pay for a massage or sauna.

Cons: At night the streets of Toledo are full of young drunk British men and or unemployed. It can be a bit sketchy there at night and you definitely have to watch your back. All the tourists leave during the day.

And when it's a 5 star hotel, everything just works really well. If you need to work, even the basic rooms are huge and they have a good work desk with comfortable office chair.

Cons: Not renovated, rooms are getting old. Bathrooms damaged clogged washbasins (both). Reception did not take care of our problem, not even a discount. Spa is very dirty, and stinks. That hotel has absolutely never been maintained properly for years. In the past, was nice. But now, better not stop here ! And parking 10 euros... for an hotel in the middle of nowhere. Very far from the center... restaurant car is very restrictive and wine list is poor and low quality. If you like 4 or 5 stars hotels, don’t come to this one ! (It’s a 3 stars Spanish level, no better). But still not maintained

Pros: My third time in this hotel and the reason why I always stay here when in Toledo is the size of the rooms, great breakfast, nice pool area and great gym. And when it's a 5 star hotel, everything just works really well. If you need to work, even the basic rooms are huge and they have a good work desk with comfortable office chair.
Cons: Well the only minus is the location and it's a bit far from the old town. But that's no problem and taxis are really cheap and also the hotel has a free transfer bus time to time.

Cons: We had a non smoking room as requested however when we arrived it smelt of smoke and there was an ashtray with cigarette ends in it on our balcony. This was rectified immediately by staff however. It would have been good if there had been a smaller more intimate bar area - it is in the main atrium and is very impersonal. The pool area is lovely however missing some mosaic tiles.

This building was renovated in 2012. It is located on the plaza Zocodover, hub of the city and the Old Town Square itself. Within walking distance we can reach the Alcázar and the Cathedral. On the ground and first floor building there is the reception, where we find the background a restored well from the XIV century, opposite the main entrance, and also a wall from the seventeenth century. The hotel features single, double and triple room with a nice modern functional decor. They are equipped with minibar, internet connection, air conditioning and a plasma TV. Its location, on the Zocodover square, warrants a trip back in time to the most traditional and authentic Toledo.

Cons: Noise from outside. The room was facing main street where all buses and taxes run. Toledo is such a famous tourist place therefore this noise issue might be inevitable. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for quiet morning. But our over all stay here was wonderful.

Reported the issues at the front desk and was told they will make an effort to check. No change to the issues. Was not offered another room or any follow up.

Pros: This is such a beautiful hotel. The reception staff are lovely, the room perfect and bathroom very clean with good shower. There is a large, clean pool, which is a welcome relief after a hot day walking around Toledo. It is about 10 mins from the train station and a 20 min walk down to the San Martin bridge where you access the narrow, beautiful streets of Toledo. There is a restaurant on site and the bar has delicious snack food and the most amazing tortilla. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Cons: There was a very noisy party at a nearby property that didn’t end until after 3am. When we complained to the Receptionist that we’d been unable to sleep, she wasn’t interested.

Cons: I would like to raise 4 topics some of them to improve as a suggestion: 1. Maybe due to a kitchen smoke extraction issue, there was a food smell on the lobby. To check and improve. 2. In the first day there was a problem with the bathroom water that was for a while brown due to techbical problem. It was solved without any issue. 3. Lack of enery (electricity) that took 30 to 40 min. No bigger problems but delayed a bit our exit. 4. Breakfast: globally could be improved with more diversity.

It was very annoying the amount of noise Sunday morning at 9am: hotel staff can't be blamed if other customers do make noise but there was a lot of door knocking which I assume was for breakfast delivery to the rooms - knocking lasted for about one hour and was really loud. Rest of the things where just standard.

Pros: This central hostel was very nice, comfortable and had a beautiful rooftop to relax, make food and enjoy the views. The staff was also helpful, kind and helped you with anything. The room and bathroom I shared with 3 other people with no problem. The mattress on the beds was comfortable and despite the heat, the room also had air condition and good ventilation from the windows. I liked that the room had lockers and a wardrobe with enough space to place your suitcase with the other ones. I would repeat being here :) Easy to get in and out with a keycard, close to all the monuments, restaurants etc. People were extremely friendly! :D

Pros: This central hostel was very nice, comfortable and had a beautiful rooftop to relax, make food and enjoy the views. The staff was also helpful, kind and helped you with anything. The room and bathroom I shared with 3 other people with no problem. The mattress on the beds was comfortable and despite the heat, the room also had air condition and good ventilation from the windows. Cons: I was not so bothered, but there's small space to move around, a bit noisy when climbing up the stairs to the upper bed. Even though the rooms were cleaned each day, there was still a lot of dust in the room. Since the hostel lays right next to bars and restaurants etc. there can be some noise at night, but it was not overwhelmingly for me.

Cons: It just seemed a little flat, one lady on reception, no one at the bar area, you needed to go to reception and request a drink, my partner wanted to take a bottle of cava to our room for us to enjoy in the room but we were told that we hadn't reserved this. I have never experienced this before in a hotel. The bar man had to keep running up the stairs and seemed to be doing more than one job. Other guests were frustrated. So l didn't get my sparkling wine and settled for a glass of warm rather horrid vino, such a shame as Spain is famous for good wine. Another guest took his drink to his room and said lve waited long enough for it! Whilst waiting for my drink l perused the brochure for eurostar hotel's and they said your holiday experience is our priority, it didn't feel like that to us. I was glad we got a good offer as l would have been very unhappy to pay the full amount.

Pros: After several hours driving on an extremely hot day, we arrived at this perfectly located hotel next to the Escalleras Mecánicas (Toledo escalators) which are extremely useful to get to the old part of town in 2 minutes for free, making the hotel a great base for exploring the area. The room was renovated recently, it was spacious, nice, very comfortable, with good AC and extremely clean. The staff was nice and helpful giving us maps and hints on what to see. The private parking was handy.

Cons: Arnljótur Arnarson. We bought standard room with king size bed for 3 nights paying 90£ per night. Buying room in 4 star rated hotel you don´t expect to be put in a celler. In a room with small window faceing a wall. This room 114 should be priced down a lot. When we complain we were informed that the hotel was full, but we could try to talk to the staff the day after. In my opinion should the staff, if they care about their customer offer them to change roomms, and in my mind giving a discount, when they knew about our wish to change from this 114 celler room.

Pros: Modern hotel with some aging on a hill about 12 min from the historic old town of Toledo. Seems it was built to host large congresses and they do not come. Absolutely lovely pool and pool area with benches and towels, but see below. Very good spa with sauna and whirl-pools ( at an additional price of € 15,-- per person). Modern rooms with good comfort. Reception well organized and friendly. Open terrace with a nice view and a nice breeze in the evening. So far on the whole very good relation value for money - but see below ! Restaurants really disappointing.

Cons: As other guests mentioned the opening times for the pool are too short. In a hot summer you may want to swim before breakfast or before lunch or after dinner or ... 2 restaurants, one italian with buffet only, one spanish à-la-carte; but before leaving to town there was no message that the spanish restaurant was closed on monday evening. Coming back from town we wanted first to see the italian buffet which was very poor ( as well in variety as quality). And then choose the spanish restaurant but it was closed without former notice. And going back to town again was no option in the evening. So we were left with the open terrace where they serve only some snacks, hamburgers and sandwiches with hot meat. Food quality there managable but not even good.

However once across the river find the car park part way up the hill and escalators take you to the top and all the sights, a godsend on a hot day. We travelled into Toledo from the South and found the hotel very easily. Pre booked secure parking (12euros a night) was a good choice we thought. Parking is within the hotel garage accessed via electronic doors from the street. The hotel is quaint with a notable selection of tiled walls. We received a warm welcome from front office staff, indeed all staff encountered, and were soon in our room. Air con operates efficiently and we were comfortable in a big bed on a warm night. Breakfast is taken in a small room adjacent to the Reception area. On offer was plentiful basic fayre. As much as you needed with decent coffee. The hotel was clean and the lift to all floors operated without issue. Getting out of the aforementioned garage could be a bit tight if the place was fully occupied albeit because we were departing on a Sunday morning we could back into the road outside without causing too many horns to sound.

We opted for a sort of suite with a bedroom and bathroom separated by a little sitting room, This room was so tiny that to be honest it seemed to be a bit superfluous. Go for a regular double room!! The TV in the bedroom was also tiny with limited channels and certainly nothing for English speaking clients not even the news, I know we are in Spain, and we do speak some Spanish, but the absence of any English channels was a bit of a surprise, The lighting in the room was extremely harsh and we thought unecessarily so. This stark approach to providing light rather marred what we thought was a pretty decent bathroom,

Pros: Reception staff extremely helpful and friendly. Liked the location. Easy to access Old Town, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.
Cons: Heating system in my room was very noisy and disturbed my sleep! Breakfast was cleared up too early, coffee machine cleaned and switched off at 10 when breakfast should have been served till 10.30.

Cons: Is not accesible by car, the road was very narrow uphill, we have to park somewhere and have to walk 400 meter with our luggage to the hotel.

Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate for the price.
Cons: The walls were so thin. We could hear our neighbor's conversations through the wall and someone getting sick at about 5am. Bring earplugs to get sleep.

Cons: It was a little noisy internally , the walls must be quite thin and our room was positioned between two bathrooms and we could hear the people in the adjacent rooms showering ect., However the position negated these problems
