The warm welcome from attentive and helpful staff stayed with us throughout . Such a comfortable bedroom and same with all the public rooms.
+ Points Good location.
The room was adequate with clean linen. It was a quiet undisturbed night and the best bit was leaving in the morning.
The poor attitude of the staff to my objection with regard to the Autumn Saver price which had conditions which were not easily seen on the booking information and appeared in the small print on the booking confirmation and not in clear context. I subsequently discovered on leaving that another guest had failed to see the qualifying conditions and upon reading other guest's reviews I also find that we are not alone in our mistake. Given that this has been brought to the attention of the hotel previously, and there does not appear to be an attempt to make the qualifying conditions of special offers clear in the booking process, I wonder if this is a deliberate policy to deceive guests into booking by attracting them by offering a low price
The hotel was extremely comfortable and welcoming and the only member of staff we met was very helpful and accommodating. It was beautifully appointed with lots of unusual features.
Meals were good but we felt over-priced,especially the breakfast.
Comfortable and well-decorated in traditional style. The small lounge with open fire was a particular feature.
Great comfortable beds, fantastic place for a break
Not enough hot water, No room service and an 8am start for breakfast means not perfect for a business traveller
small portions for breakfast
Great small hotel in lovely grounds. Easy to find, quiet and very friendly.
The room was very nice and comfortable
The meals were heavily laced with pepper every time!
Very good, unintrusive service. Absolutely fantastic master bedroom suite.
