The hotel is perfectly situated on the town's lovely Rambla by the Mediterranean. We had a view of the sea from our balcony which was much appreciated.

Location
- pillows very hard and uncomfortable - breakfast expensive and not very nice (much nicer and cheaper in cafe further up the street) - coffee purchased in bar tasted poor quality and expensive - no coffee making facilities in room. Hotel generally lacked warmth, was outdated and not very welcoming.

The girls who worked on reception were very nice and accomodating and spoke excellent English. They were the nicest thing about this hotel. The front of the building is located on a good street. It is just over one minute from the most beautiful views of the beach and sea and is perhaps 3 minutes from the roman ruins. About 15 minute walk from the bus station and 7-10 min from the train station. Therefore location is prime.
But the views from the back of the hotel were of another building and there was a pub across from our rooms that stayed open until 2.30am. Bins are collected at about mid-night. Rooms are not sound proofed. Rooms are dated and the wardrobes were smelly. Breakfast very expensive given that you can get coffee and crossant in a very nice cafe down the street for €2. I requested a double room with a view of the sea for my parents but were given a twin room with a view of another building .Tarragona is a beautiful, clean town but don't expect too much from the hotels. Not three star in terms of Irish hotels that i have stayed in and over priced for what you get.
