Okay 4.0
Pros: beautiful character/details of the structure, comfortable beds, beautiful artwork and terrace.
Cons: Nobody offered to carry our luggage upstairs (they were small suitcases). The lighting in the rooms is poor; the temperature was pretty chilly; the curtains don't block out the light; the noise from neighboring restaurants kept us up until 2am on a Friday; the bedsheets smelled of bleach. Our friend's room had a soaking wet duvet/bed, and the night receptionist (who did not speak any English, French or Arabic) got mad at us for pointing that out, before switching her room. We stayed 2 nights bookending our trip, and we were not told about the free coffee and tea in the reception until the last night; when we pointed out there were no cups for tea, we were told "oh, they're in the kitchen" - my mother had to go fetch them herself, while the receptionist stood there playing with her phone. Multiple times I went to use the kettle and just found 2-3 staff blocking the small reception area, all on their phones, nobody even moving out of the way. The absolutely worst service we received in Morocco.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We couldn't ask for a better hotel. The people working there are simply adorable, very very welcoming and nice. The hotel is also amazing, a very comfortable and cozy place to stay. Paintings are everywhere and you can feel it is a very artistic and culturally active environment. The terrace on the rooftop is amazing, full of succulents and comfy chairs to rest and chill, while watching the sea and the rooftops of the city. We only had breakfasts there, and they were delicious. We also rented a car and we could park it just in front of the hotel as there is a nocturnal guardian of the area. Highly highly recommended.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very good hotel, near to city center. Friendly staff. My favourite hotel in Tanger. Hope to stay again there.
Cons: Room n. 7 little bit wet.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Notice you have an extra paid in taxes as in every hotel in Marrocco. We’ll be back this hotel. Thanks for all especially to recepcionist María for her kindness.
Cons: Get better the toilette.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The building is beautiful; the artwork is great; the beds are comfortable.
Good 7.0
Pros: The location, the historical building, the decoration. Nice and friendly staff.
Cons: The room was quite humid.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The room decor and the beautiful building in a very good location right next to the medina. Good WiFi, comfortable beds, good shower, lovely views from the rooftop terrace overlooking the city and the sea. Helpful and friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Easy to find in the Medina . The staff is pleasant and are very helpful with directions and suggestions.
Cons: Some rooms on the street are a little noisy.
Good 7.1
Pros: Location and the stuff
Cons: I booked 3 double room. All of them were in different sizes. One of the rooms was so small there’s not enough space to open 2 luggage and there’s one so big was size of 2 of the small one. At night was so noisy until midnight, we couldn’t sleep until 2 am.
Good 7.5
Pros: Breakfast was excellent! Very copious and a lot of variety of Moroccan breads.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the excellent staff, to the great breakfast, to the roof top terrace, this centrally located spot is an excellent value. Many places felt a little unsafe, dirty or had weak wifi, but we quickly came back to Dar El Kasbah and used it as our launching point for exploring the local area. We can't say enough nice things about the place. Oh, and when our shower head broke, within three minutes it was replaced. Amazing!
Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Yes I did Welcoming spirit at every corner and staff of the hotel The warmth of history and politeness Comfort of bed and outstanding view from most of the rooms
Cons: Coffee makers in the room & doors of the room
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Achraf organized a driver and a tour for us, which was great. He was wonderful! So kind and helpful.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff was excellent! very helpful with some restaurant suggestions/reservations. Coordinated a guide to take us to Cape Spartel and the Hurcules cave- he also took us on a tour of Tangier first and to Asilah - the experience was Fabulous!!! We loved the property, restaurant, view of the ocean, was all wonderful!!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location is perfect Breakfast was complete Room clean and full equiped
Cons: nothing !
Okay 5.0
Pros: History and architecture
Cons: Service Spa and Gym Room Restaurant
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Old World Charm brought into the 21 st century Have been coming to this hotel for over 40 years still the best fabulous highly recommend
Cons: Charm tranquility
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff was amazing. Location is excellent. Decor was beautiful. We had a great stay and would definitely come back and recommend it.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Beautiful spot, rooms and dining areas. Lovely views and feeling of the old world.
Cons: Recently dropped from 4 star to a 3. We were welcomed warmly but when we didn't want to partake in the expensive tourist services (mainly guides bring you to friends shops and over priced restaurants under the pretext of being helpful, inflated taxies etc) we were treated a little rudely. Service seems to have declined with the decreasing stars. Shame, such a beautiful building and nice spa.

Good 7.0
Pros: location and decor are perfect
Cons: 2 night say in December and no hot water due to central heating failure, staff could not manage the situation or offer a solution. Payed full price at check out.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Really wonderful staff who took time to take us out and show us the local side of Tangier. The hotel was beautiful with great architectural detail and a fantastic view from the terrace.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Great staff
Cons: Bedsheets and towels not clean!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very helpful people and not a bad location
Cons: As ever unending staircases without banisters- very Moroccan - rather dangerous for the unstable amongst us My laptop was damaged I suspect whilst clearers were doing the room - no doubt not their fault but an expensive event
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Staff were eager to please and friendly. Short walk to the markets and shops.
Cons: Showers and wifi were weak in the room.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The first floor back room very good - this is the wone to have
Cons: 70 steps to breakfast from ground fllor - well this is Morsocco!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Location, beautiful building, nice common rooms , roof top areas to relax & where breakfast was served. The staff are kind, helpful & friendly. Knowledgeable about the Médina.
Cons: We were taxed at the end (not much) ?? then we determined we were overcharged & it took some doing but it did get resolved - so thank you Abdul. Be careful of guides that try to take you shopping for rugs or whatever they think you’d be interested - they don’t give up !
Okay 4.6
Cons: Security at this hotel is poor. The only way to enter the building is to knock on the door and wait for the person at the front desk to answer it. However, the front desk attendants frequently abandoned their posts and were unavailable to answer the door in a timely manner. This made us feel incredibly unsafe, especially at night. Also, when we first arrived, the front desk attendant introduced us to a man (who claimed he worked at the hotel) so that he could give us a tour of the Kasbah and to show us to a pharmacy (we were in need of medicine). Instead, the man took us on a two hour trip to various shops where merchants tried to sell us things. The “guide” would not respond to our requests to get back to the hotel, and he had essentially trapped us in the middle of a Kasbah that we could not navigate on our own. At the end of the “tour” it was almost dark, we did not have a chance to go to an ATM or the pharmacy, and HE ASKED US FOR MONEY. When we refused, he said that he would come back tomorrow to collect. It became clear that he was certainly not an employee. I was aware that people in the Medina/Kasbah would approach us and ask if we wanted a tour, and I knew to refuse those offers. I did not expect for our own hotel to send us on a fake “tour,” however. This additionally made me feel unsafe and as though our best interests were not valued by the staff. When we asked for a taxi to a different hotel, they said that we would have to navigate the Kasbah ourselves (with our luggage at 22:30) in order to hail a taxi. After I persisted, the staff made a call to another person, who then told me that he would call his “friend” to pick us up. Out of options, we took him up on it. His “friend” arrived in a taxi with another man sitting in the passenger seat. Again, unsafe. After all of this, I was refused a refund (even a partial one).

Excellent 10.0
Pros: All is good no exceptions.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast spread was amazing as was their rooftop seating area
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Adil and Victor were amazing hosts. They assist wherever they could and helped me with a document to resolve my residence situation. Hotel is in good location with a terrace with great views. Will come again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Right in the middle of Tangier in the medina, beautifully decorated and brilliant value for money. Nothing can beat an excellent Moroccan breakfast when it's on a rooftop with sea views - easy to let it run all day chilling with the other guests.
Cons: This is my recommendation for a Tangier hostel.
Okay 5.0
Pros: the view from the terrasse is very beautiful especially during the night. Abdelaadim the receptionnist is a very nice and friendly guy.
Cons: unfortunately there was no hot water in the property and I had to take my showers in cold water.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved the fact that I was the only guest in the hotel and stuff was very nice and let me use the kitchen to prepare my meal. My room was comfortable and I slept very well.
Cons: My room could have some daylight and bathroom could be bigger, but for the price I paid it was more than enough!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hostel is even more charming in person than on the pictures. Very homey design, ton of places to hang out, incredible terrace with a panoramic view. We've used the airport transfer arranged by the hostel and were delivered safe and sound straight to the reception. Perfect choice for those arriving late at night, especially since Medina streets can get quite confusing. The staff was very welcoming. The cat is sweet! Breakfast is great! We loved it!
Cons: A fun fact: bathroom and toilet in the 4-bed dorm (I guess we had a female one) doesn't really have a full ceiling. Part of the ceiling is made of some wooden beams and crowned with a bed. I don't think you want that bed :D
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice place to stay and people so kindly, I like the decoration and the library full of books even the most of them French book, I recommended this place to stay...
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautifully decorated. Lovely breakfast each morning. Very nice terrace for lounging--I highly recommend sitting there and listening to one of the evening calls to prayer. The owner and each member of the staff were very pleasant and kind.
Cons: Quiet noisy outside of my room each night--of course that's not the riad's fault and could very well be an isolated incident. Also just a touch expensive.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Close to medina and walking distance to cafes and restaurants Staff courteous , friendly and helpful. Room service prompt and tasty. Good breakfast included, nice bar, beautiful pool. Staff found a guide with driver for a half day tour Best value in tangier if you prefer a traditional hotel.
Cons: Was referred to nearby hotel for dinner as it appeared that the restaurant was not open. Short walk to sister property and dinner there was fine.
Okay 5.0
Pros: just the location.
Cons: We stayed in this hotel 3 years ago, service was outstanding at that time that's why we came back but was a bad experience this time. Housekeeping quality was poor, we had to ask for towels ( had only one for 2 people) WI FI was almost non existent, breakfast which was a treat 3 years ago was just a thing of the past. Stuff is great but I guess that sometimes is not enough to make you feel " at home".
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very helpful staff. Great location. Good sized rooms. Great view. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic restaurant.
Cons: Nothing.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Some staff members really friendly and helpful.
Cons: Restaurant didn’t have many menu items. Some staff supercilious.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good size rooms, clean and comfortable. Good views - perhaps I got an upgrade.
Cons: Breakfast was mediocre - uninterested chefs for the omelette station. Overs understanding of English poor.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: swimming pool, breakfast, parking
Cons: some uncertainties whether we could get our room in time

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The riad was small, only four suites, and nestled right in the hustle and bustle of town which for me was perfect! I was able to walk all the sights I wished to see I Tangier easily. The hotel booked a very affordable driver for me to go to Chefchaouen (as a solo traveller all online tours wanted to charge me for two person minimum) Owner was very attentive and exceptionally polite. One of the best surprises was the wonderful breakfast on the roof top terrace each morning ... started my mornings in such a terrific way! LOVED MY STAY IN TANGIER
Okay 5.4
Cons: No lift is a bailable. The restaurant is on the 5th floor with out a lift is too terrible.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice room! The host young man is also warm and enthusiastic. Location is good as well. I liked here.
Good 7.9
Pros: Very good breakfast. Good location, pretty close to the center (10 minutes walking). Clean and spacious
Cons: The shower can be "restructured" (just a minor remark)
Good 7.1
Pros: -Lot of space in the room -helpful stuff -felt savety in the hotel -near to medina (10 minutes to walk)
Cons: Breakfast: always the same and too sweet no tea on the table fruit juice was not good Bathroom: lot of lights didn't work - to dark
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The location and the staff. Location is excellent for the main centre or the medina. The staff especially Lhaz the caretaker was very helpful. The manager was also helpful and helped me change my room when the toilet was leaking. I was disappointed to find the toilet leaking after checking in but Lhaz and the manager moved all our stuff and luggage the following day and moved us to another room.
Cons: The size of the property is not suitable for a family of 4. We found the rooms very small and the toilet especially very small. Not much space to move around. Considering the location I guess the space is as they’ve given but it was not something I would recommend to a family of 4. Also the property is advertised as a Riad but it’s not a Riad in its true Moroccon nature. It’s rather a hotel with rooms. Finally please be aware that there are several winding steps to the rooms and the breakfast is served right at the roof which adds more steps. So prepare for some healthy up and down in the property. Not that it bothered us but would be good to know in the description.
Good 6.7
Pros: Property was ok. Staff allowed us to check in late and arranged transportation to bring us there at a cost. Staff was friendly.
Cons: We booked specifically because we could pay with credit card. The gentleman said machine wasn’t working. We had to pay cash, which left us shore because we had little left, as we were leaving Morocco. I think they play that card a lot. Made it very difficult because we got in late and had to leave early.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Its a nice place for a couple or small family. The location is good and not far from old medina or other places only 15-20mins walk. Nicely decorated and staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Parking is arranged by the staff.
Cons: No Moroccan tea in breakfast!
Good 7.9
Pros: Great location, staff always willing to please .nice apartment.
Cons: Lots of stairs ,difficult with bad knees

Good 7.5
Pros: Location, buiding, terrace
Good 6.3
Pros: Cleanness and facilities; nice and warm even in the bathroom. The upper balcony was great.
Cons: Location, unfriendliness.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Rasheed and Fatima and the whole crew were awesome, and super helpful. They went above and beyond to help us, the Riad was beautiful.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: A very unique Moroccan style hotel. You definitely need a quide to go round the winding maze streets. If you are looking for originality then this is the place.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, great setting in the heart of the medina, great view from top roof garden, very comfortable bed and very lovely building and architecture. Thanks to the owners and staff very friendly.
Cons: Hard to find! lol
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Unique, the rooftop
Good 6.7
Pros: Staff was very helpful and nice. Roof top lovely view. Nice to sit out.
Cons: Bottle of water on arrival. Hand shower in bathroom. Some breakfast options like eggs. A extra glass of juice on the house would have been nice.
Good 7.1
Pros: Breakfast was lovely and the little rooftop is nice.
Cons: I would recommend that they provide information on where to park when you arrive. We came by car and had an issue at 12:30 am because we apparently parked in the wrong place, we then paid a parking guard to find the next morning we needed to pay again then when trying to leave got bombarded by the other parking people saying we needed to pay.

Good 7.0
Cons: Mosquitoes in room
Okay 5.0
Pros: Just the location as we arrived late from Taghazout. But the hotel itself as described “budget”, do not expect much. The receptionists were all kind. They granted the late check out request.
Cons: The cleanliness is only a question. I found a stain in the bedsheet. I am too tired to complain as I arrived late at night. Photos as attached. They dont reach out to help us find a taxi.
Poor 1.0
Cons: The first room was used without being cleaned at all and I had to go back to reception to ask for explanation for that and they changed me to another room, the new room had hear in the shower and smile bad and doesn’t feel clean as was late and just for one night I slept with my clothes to avoid to touch the blankets I don’t recommend it sorry
Excellent 10.0
Okay 4.2
Cons: The place cost $20, which was fine. Location was fine. At 4am I needed to leave for the airport and asked them to call a cab. He called a friend, who basically held me hostage and said I had to pay $15. To give you an idea, a ride of that length should be $1 or $2 max in Morocco. I felt it was likely the concierge at the hotel was getting a kickback for calling this guy, and effectively doubled the cost of my hotel.

Good 6.8
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, tv in room
Cons: Location, no a/c, no fan, bed was not level
Okay 4.5
Pros: The bathroom was newly renevated, maybe. It was small, but it was clean.
Cons: It was a small cheap place. Not for long stays.
Okay 4.2
Pros: The location is very good.
Cons: It is nothing more than hostel quality, but treats itself like a fancy hotel. The staff was unhappy to help, whenever i needed help. Except for the 2 Mohammeds.
Mediocre 3.4
Pros: It was cheap and didn't cause too much damage to pack up for another hotel. Staff was nice and helpful. WiFi worked great (granted the modem was right outside our door.) Interesting location...right in the center of Medina which can be seen as a good and bad thing.
Cons: Where to start. I may be a bit of a germaphobe, but this place was pretty nasty. It had the floor that you have in your elementary school cafeteria which didn't look like it had been cleaned in about a year. I seriously couldn't walk around barefoot. The bathroom was full of black mold and the shower didn't work. There was a big spigot that we had to try and use as a shower. And by the way, the sink was literally falling off of the wall, and it may have The blankets look like the ones that you buy on the side of the road that hang on fences, and the fact there was no AC killed it. We had to keep the windows open keep some cool air flowing which ended up inviting all the mosquitoes in for a bite fest. That led to waking up and holding the contest of who got bitten the most. We came during Ramadan which meant that day long fasts led to evenings where everyone was out and ate all night. You could hear people bustling until 5 in the morning, so if you're a light sleeper, like me, don't expect relaxing nights. Every time you get in and out of the hotel you have street hecklers begging for money or trying to sell you sometime, so it was the least relaxing place I've been to. We did meet some really nice people there that told us to stay inside after about 7:30 just because of the people that come out at night. I also got caught in a crowd there as we were walking back home and when it got to be a tight group I felt someone's hand reach in my pocket that I had my wallet in. I had to grab his wrist and yell at him in order for him to scram but just a little info on the nature of the area this hotel is in and what to expect. It wasn't relaxing but it was an adventure. We ended up moving to the Hilton and had a fantastic experience there.
