Pros: The property was amazing , super lovely decor ... it was definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed in Costa Rica. I loved the quaint feel of the place and most definitely will me returning .
Cons: Everything was super amazing so I don’t really have anything bad to say
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property is definitely a slice of paradise . SUPER CLEAN ! Unreal , super natural/ organic feel . I would highly recommend this place . Super quiet a bit away from tamarindo center but cheap cab ride . Breakfast was incredible and refreshing ! Thank you for your service !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at Les Voiles Blanches B&B! The entire space is quiet, relaxing, and safe. The pool was clean/the perfect temperature and the hammocks strewn around the space were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful space. The room had everything we needed (great a/c and internet), comfortable king sized bed, and beautiful bathroom. The location was perfect, far enough away from trashy Tamarindo to be quiet/safe, but close enough to go to dinner and explore a wide array of beaches! Besides the amenities the hosts were fantastic! They were easy to communicate with, flexible, gave us wonderful recommendations (even set up sunset horseback riding for us) and provided a delicious breakfast! 10/10 would definitely book again and recommend staying here!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Les Voiles Blanches is a perfect place to stay if you are after a peaceful location. We found everything what we were looking for in this little piece of gem. It's been located perfectly as we did not want to find ourselves in this hustling bustling of Tamarindo. It has a great charm for a simple bed and breakfast place. The room was perfectly cleaned and loved the bathroom with an open plan ceiling feature. Swimming pool has a great mixture of contemporary design and surrounded by beautiful exotic plants and trees. Breakfast was excellent. Michael was super friendly, kind and provided each day some different hot breakfast items. Freshly squeezed juice, granola and yoghurt was a great healthy option. Truly enjoyed talking with Michael and Karene about the life and culture in Costa Rica. We wish them best of luck with their new project in Tamarindo and hope to stay in their new location in the future. Bulent & Natalia

Pros: My wife and i went to Costa Rica on our honeymoon, and we spent our final five days at the Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel. We absolutely loved it, hated to leave and can’t wait to come back again. Everything from the location, to the ambiance and decor, and especially the staff, was top notch. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Tamarindo.

Pros: I loved everything about this hotel. Small, quiet, convenient, clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean and warm pool, close to town, excellent food, comfortable large rooms, inexpensive, wow!

Pros: We loved everything about our stay here. Beautiful grounds, welcoming hosts, lovely room, and delicious breakfast. It was also in the perfect location, within walking distance of the town and beach.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Arriving up a dusty road we were pleasantly surprised when we stepped inside the oasis that is Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel. The hotel has a chilled vibe and the pool area was great, with a choice of beds, bean bags, hammocks or hanging chairs. Free filtered water and coffee/tea available all day. We had a lovely welcome from Marie the Manager. Our room was great. Very light and airy, just on the right side of minimalist so as to be comfortable, calming and clutter free but not soul-less. Thoughtful extra touches such as an umbrella and ice bucket in the room (ice always available in the freezer). A lovely big comfortable bed with great pillows and really good quality cotton sheets. A hot power shower with good quality toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was great , a selection of toast, fruit, rice and beans, eggs, yoghurt, home made cake, cereal, tea, coffee and juices. The breakfast was served in an alfresco area, surrounded by lots of greenery such as fragrant ylang ylang, jasmine and pretty orchids. Breakfast was served by Marie or the owner Bathsheba. Both were really lovely and took a real interest in their guests. Real thought has been put into this hotel and the guest experience and the little extra touches really made a difference. Great location too, only 5/10 minutes to restaurants and the beach. Our only disappointment was that we were not staying longer!! Thank you guys for a lovely relaxing 5 days, Tracy and David.
Cons: Our only disappointment was that were not staying longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Hotel was amazing. Everything was superb from the moment you arrive at the property. Staff and owner were really nice! I liked all the little details around the Hotel, in the rooms and at the pool area to make the stay even better! They helped us arrange some activities and a car rental, they really took their time with the guests which was so nice and helpful. Higly recommended!! And the location was superb, short distances to restaurants and the beach.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The stuff is very friendly and helpfully, thx to Maria!
Cons: Breakfast could be more various.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we got through the gates we knew this would be a great place to stay. Everything was immaculate, the staff were so helpful & welcoming, each guests get a guide book to the town which is a real bonus. We were there during Tamarindo's busiest time but it was lovely and peaceful in the hotel and you could watch the birds & iguanas whilst having breakfast.
Cons: This is only a minor thing but the room felt like it could use a desk/sideboard, it was so big but felt a bit too minimalist.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I truly appreciate the personal touches and care of Marie. She made me feel at home and helped me to extend my stay. I also booked a tour through them, which was an awesome experience. As a location independent professional this goes a long way.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kevin and the staff were fantastic. From start to end they were so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast every morning really started the day out correctly. So good! The rooms are amazing and the whole chill, chic, vibe of the place made for a great complement to the Tamarindo experience. A little oasis from the beach and the town.
Cons: Seeming complaint at first is really a strength; little tricky to get to but the map they provide is immensely helpful. Nice that it's a street or two away from the main strip.

Pros: What is not too like. The staff are more than welcoming and absolutely amazing in every way. Everyone was so helpful. Free bikes free taxis. The free breakfast was out of this world. Pros: Amazing room, the pool and the beach were lovely. We felt very well looked after.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place! We took the villa with the pool it was huge. Great size pool. The hotel pool is also great, love the food! Great options for vegetarian. Amazing staff and service.
Cons: The only think we didn't like was the beach it was a bit rocky but there are planty of beautiful beaches near by
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the staff to the services and the locations. Their attention to details was amazing
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Continuous sound coming from the pool area all night long, clicking sound of the vent which made it impossible to turn it on during night time; therefore a minus in comfort
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Food is great, do not need to go elsewhere You have yoga classes, fitness classes Complimentary sunset cocktail
Cons: Tea not organic, could be organic
7.0 Good
Pros: The service was amazing and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly.
Cons: The bed, pillows, and sheets were horrible. It was hard to sleep some nights. The bed was very hard, the pillows were way too big and the only bedding were 2 very thin sheets (no comforter/quilt). Also, the beach at the hotel is very rocky and you can’t swim there. It is about a 15 minute walk down the beach to get to an area that you can swim in.

7.9 Good
Pros: It was a nice location, beautiful beach, good food for an all inclusive
Cons: They could have had faster service we spent a lot of time waiting to have our waters refilled. The drink variety was limited.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent location, on a beautiful beach, large comfortable room, clean bathroom good food, a large selection of dishes, snack bar and drinks open all day Nice staff
Cons: very poor animations, unprofessional animators, staring at each other, not caring about guests (especially girls!) they looked like they were working as punishment ... I do not recommend the a la carte Ocean restaurant! no dishes from the menu! dirty and unpressed tablecloths! non-special dishes available. after dinner we went disappointed to eat well in a normal restaurant!
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location. Excellent food ,polite and helpful staff spacious rooms , showers and toilets are clean and functional
Cons: Bad check in experience , instead of giving us one room for three that we have booked, they tried to give us a different room and add a rollover bed , the ac thermostat couldn’t control the room temperature It either has to be shut down and sweating or let it run continuously, and freeze I did find the bed to be very uncomfortable
4.8 Okay
Pros: The pool was really great as was the view from the room
Cons: They do not know how to properly clean. We had dirty sneakers, empty soda bottles amongst other issues when we checked into room. There is not a lot of choices w drinks and they are poorly made. There is no WiFi that works outside the main area
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: Hello, I am writing to inform you that we are very disappointed with this hotel location. We had booked a 1 night stay there from the 10th until 11th of January. We arrived at the hotel at 3:08 pm and we were excited to get the check in completed and go to our room for a nice shower. Well, first off we waited for approx 40 mins to complete the check in. Secondly, when we arrived to the room we had no towels, the minibar was empty and the room was VERY dirty. We are a very tolerant couple and do not complain about minor issues, but this was such a disturbing condition we have checked out and found a much better hotel in tamarindo. Before we decided to check out we tried to resolve the isssues we notified the house keeping to come and take a look and see if charges could be made so we would stay. I must say, nothing changed. The room had dirt and grime everywhere and should not have been rented out, I certainly hope this is not the acceptable standard of this hotel and If it is, I can understand the recent negative reviews you have been receiving. I am sure you intend to keep our money eventhough we only spent 2 hrs at your hotel and did not use any of the facilities. I am not blaming any of the staff at this hotel, but the management really needs to take a serious look at the standards if you want to continue operating this hotel. We have stayed at 1 start and 5 star resorts all over costa rica, and this is the worst we have seen so far, we expected much better and we have now wasted time and money because of poor management of the property. If anyone is giving this place a higher rating, then I must say their standards must be low, the rooms are dirty and run down, we will never come back here again. I will say that we are not picky and had the place been clean etc we would not have had a problem in staying, however when the sheets are stained and every edge has dirt on it, what else is disgusting. Not to mention even even the coffee mugs were dirty.
6.3 Good
Pros: - great location - beach front! - gym
Cons: - rooms are very old - food is not good even though is all inclusive - liquors are not good quality - parking lot was full, it was hard to get a spot
7.0 Good
Pros: The location and the beach is fantastic. Super nice to stay under the trees on the beach, in the shade, after playing in the waves with the kids.
Cons: The beds (king size) are too small - comfortable though. The restaurant is ok, but a bit too noisy and more or less the same every day. The snackbar is messy and the staff working there don't really keep it tidy. I really don't like the loud music they insist on playing around the snackbar and the pool. I want to have tranquility and you can see that people are avoiding to sit close to the music. Music is ok, but why on earth play it so loud. It gives a cheep sense of the hole place. We had a very nice time though, and stayed mostly on the beach.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and owner were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The property was private and quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Arco Iris had a great feel to it. The pool is very nice. Richard is a super cool guy and is extremely friendly. We had to leave at 4:00 am to catch our flight and Richard gave us some fruit, muffins, and juice. He offered that up without us even asking. We were very happy with the location. You are just far enough from the noise of the main street, but still able to walk to everything. The beach is maybe a 5 minute walk. There is a walking path from the hotel to a road with tons of great restaurants. If you feel like staying in for a nice meal, they lease their dining space to one of the best restaurants in Tamarindo, Seasons by Shlomy. We traveled to 4 different cities in Costa Rica and this hotel was our favorite by far.
Cons: The air conditioner in our room was kind of weak. It worked a little better at night. We weren't around much during the day so it didn't bother us much.

Pros: Close to the beach and commercial enterprises.
Cons: Room was a bit drab.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were super friendly and gave a lot of handy hints and information about Tamarindo and the amenities around, could use the facility the whole next day (especially good for monitored parking and having a shower after the day at the beach), location is a bit out of the way from the loud main roads
Cons: Furniture could maybe renewed in the future, but was quite okay for the night
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Everything was absolutely FABULOUS!!! If i had to say anything.... if I had to .... the couch was a bit tough ... lol. That is a good thing though... made us not be couch potatoes on vacation.

Pros: I loved the homemade bagel and real orange juice they provided.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: it's a little off the main scene of Tamarindo but not too far away, which makes it quiet at night. Breakfast with Cynthia is amazing. I recommend having it there at least once. Our room was spacious (kingsize bed), clean and we had a silent AC unit as well as a fan and a fridge. outside was a table and two chairs to sit. the pool looked clean, we did not use it though. For that price I don't think you get anything better in Tamarindo. Bus station nearby
Cons: There were some ants inside the room, maybe place and ant-trap inside the rooms?

Pros: It is a great small hotel, near the main downtown. A quiet place to stay.

Pros: Clean, swimming pool, surrounded by a lot of tropical plants and trees.
Cons: Some red ants into the room.

A delicious Cappuccino rounded out the meal. A very comfortable bed, very good A/C, very good wi-fi and very friendly staff made the stay quite enjoyable. Also, a nice pool surrounded by lush vegetation. I would definitely stay here again if in Tamarindo!

Pros: The suite with a loft bed and private terrace was much bigger than I expected for a beachfront location Near all amenities and on one of the best parts of the beach
Cons: A pool would have been nice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Right on the beach & close to many shops, bars, cafes.
Cons: Bathroom very small, but adequate for us. Size of bathroom would be a challenge for large people. Steep steps to sleeping loft, not for the unsteady. We enjoyed our stay because of beach front, hammocks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was incredible! And lots of outdoor seating available for the hotel guests. The restaurant was right on the beach and had good food at a reasonable price as well.
Cons: The bathroom was small. I’m only 5’2” and it felt tight to me. I can’t imagine what a big and or tall person would feel!

Pros: Great location and friendly staff. Our room had an outside kitchen which was great to cook breakfast and coffee. The bathroom toiletries were nice and replenishes every day.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The place was disgusting, I should had listen to reviews bout rooms not being clean but I gave it the benefit of doubt. First the pillows had hair on them, the towels in the bathroom were like stain with paint or something and worse part is the bathroom smelled like week old sweaty clothes( not exaggerating). There was a shirt hanging on curtains from previous guest. There was a fridge but it didn't work! I left the place, there was no way I could sleep there let alone shower and use those towels. The pics are deceiving and I don't know who reviewed this place but my experience was. Awful!

6.3 Good
Pros: Beach front location is a plus, close to Tamarindo center and right infront of the main street, close by restaurants and shops. Personal is very kind and with goodwill to help.
Cons: Some rooms looks kind of old, some others are a little better but IMO the place is more in the expensive side for what it offers. TV channes don't work property, also there was no freeze in any room, and in our case the toilet pump didn't work property. Doors aren't as secure as you can expect from a hotel but the place is located in a secure spot so it helps a little.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view, great location , very friendly hosts, best breakfast ever, nice garden in the shade with beach view. Very good fish restaurant next door.
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location, and very easy to move around and the beach is right at the backyard.
Cons: Rooms looks somehow old, wifi is terrible, perhaps adding a proper breakfast could add value to the place, NO freeze on the rooms a beach hotel without a small freeze is unbelievable
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Alexia and Olivier are extremely gracious hosts. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I was Travelling alone with my 8 month old and they were so helpful, organized all my activities and my transportation and helped me with my son. I loved staying there and can’t wait to go back.

Pros: The location backing onto the beach, and beside a good restaurant are a definite bonus. The room itself was spacious - but the furnishings were worn and there was no balcony/sitting area. The owner and gardener were both friendly. The breakfast was fine - omelette and crepes - but the bread was average (no fresh baked pastry as advertised in the other reviews).
Cons: The hotel is located on the busy main road. Workers were out front constructing a bathroom/shed when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Zero curb appeal to step over extension cords etc. upon arrival.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was out of the way and the view was lovely.
Cons: Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Locations between the beach and the manglar. Great rooms, very comfy. Alexia the host was great, gave us good recomendations and was very nice. She self cooked the breakfasts that were incredible, best ive eaten in costa rica. The hotels yard is full of wildlife, iguanas, monkeys, and a few species of birds. Dont want to leave this place! Totally recomended!! Paradise in Tamarindo.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent room, amazing breakfast, great staff, good location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My fiancé and I had a wonderful seven night stay at Casa Blanca. The location at the end of Playa Tamarindo is very peaceful and the views from the patio are exceptional. We loved waking up to freshly made breakfast on the patio every morning; it was an amazing treat and an exceptional value. The owners were very kind and attentive to anything we needed. We would definitely stay again. This small hotel is truly a gem in busy Tamarindo. You will feel at peace! We enjoyed seeing monkeys right at the property and the restaurant next door is great. Thank you for everything, Alexia and Olivier!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and knows what they're doing. The location is above amazing - a relatively quiet stretch of beach next to a national park, this is one of the most well-located places I've ever stayed at. The property is also beautiful, with modern styling and an inviting outdoor seating area. Lots of wildlife here and there appearing in the garden, such as birds and iguanas. The breakfast is absolutely gourmet!
Cons: Traffic on the road was a bit rough during peak xmas season, but not unmanageable.

Cons: There really wasn't anything at all to complain about.

Cons: Far from beach. Need to work on the very simple breakfast menu
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The hotel is very run down. The pool is the saddest thing to look at let like hang or swim in. Zero food.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a great small hotel, near the main downtown. A quiet place to stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, swimming pool, surrounded by a lot of tropical plants and trees.
Cons: Some red ants into the room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The included breakfast was Amazing! Huge, fresh-baked croissant with scrambled eggs, ham and cheese. Also, some cut up fresh fruit on the plate. Yum. A delicious Cappuccino rounded out the meal. A very comfortable bed, very good A/C, very good wi-fi and very friendly staff made the stay quite enjoyable. Also, a nice pool surrounded by lush vegetation. I would definitely stay here again if in Tamarindo!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice facility, great location and very helpful owner
Cons: Would be nice to have more variety in breakfast menu

Cons: Nothing but the room was smaller than expected

Pros: Very good breakfast Clean and comfortable rooms with a nice sea view Beach access Friendly and professional staff
Cons: Rather on the expensive side Dinner good, but not exceptional .. would be better if the hotel offered a cheaper rate without half board
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I are well travelled and this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed over Christmas and New Year and felt the staff went over and above to ensure we had the most incredible time. The breakfasts and dinners were of the highest quality and the restaurant staff made us feel like family. So friendly and welcoming. Christmas Eve we had a 6 course dinner to celebrate and on New Years Eve there was also a 5 course dinner with celebration drinks at the beach at midnight. Genesis helped get everyone into the party spirit with lots of props such as masks, hats, beads, poppers and lots more, so much effort was made to ensure everyone had a good time. Our room #13 was immaculately clean with fantastic sea views. I suppose the wardrobe doors annoyed me as they would not fully open but that is very picky. The reception staff always had a smile and were pleased to help with questions. The gardens are beautiful and the gardening staff again, so friendly and hardworking to keeping it all pristine. The walk down to the private beach garden with bar was short and the garden bar was expertly managed with a Pura Vida smile all day long by Richard. The garden only has a few umbrellas which would be taken first leaving the others exposed to the sun so maybe some additional portable ones would be useful? This is a very special place.
Cons: We have nothing negative to say about our stay it was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing garden and beach yard. 10 points for breakfast. Highly recommend.
Cons: Pillows, dinner 6/10,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great hotel and exceeded our expectations. Staff was amazing and food was great, and location was perfect!
Cons: Room was a Little plain but was still great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Property, wonderful staff. Really nice beach club. Located within walking distance from everything you would want or need in Tamarindo. Hotel set up all activities we did outside of town, everything was stress free and seamless.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic quiet location, with beautiful views on hillside away from hustle and bustle of main street; private beach garden with beach bar within walking distance. Meals were very good to excellent. The entire wait service staff (Genesis, Natalie,Nancy, Endy, Richard and all the other's names I can't remember-sorry!) was extremely friendly, and always welcoming ! Kudos to the chef too ! Room and facilities kept super clean.
Cons: We had a an issue with our transportation returning to the airport. We booked and pre paid for the private car service on the first day of our stay with a service provided by the hotel; since we were leaving on New Years Eve and knew it could be a busy time during the holiday. The car service did not show up after 45 minutes . It seemed no one at the front desk was taking responsibility for the delay and we were told to wait-finally, after insisting something needed to be done in order to get us to the airport on time, a hotel employee took us in the hotel van .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds, food was delicious, staff was friendly and did everything possible to make you comfortable and happy. The plus for us was adults only. Definitely going back.
Cons: Nothing

7.1 Good
Pros: Many great pools and close to the beach
Cons: We had to change from one end of the resort to the other because there were so many music bands late at night competing with each other that it was impossible to sleep. The food at their three restaurants was average. The construction noise during their busiest season was baffling and annoying.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great Location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: SUPER breakfast. Spectacular view and the location is perfect. Staff was friendly and professional.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room in front of the beach, literally few steps to the beach was the best of it all. Good breakfast.
Cons: They are re-doing the whole reception area and was not advice about it ahead of time therefore arrival was rather unpleasant for the messy surprise however the associates where all helpful and smiling. Be aware they may still currently have construction in progress.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and staff were GREAT! Our room was clean and spacious, the safe gave us no problems and the location was amazing. There was construction during our stay but you could barely tell unless you were in the middle of It. I would hands down stay again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, we had beach front rooms with wonderful view of surfers, beach. The bar and dining area is really nice.
Cons: Unfortunately, there was construction going on during our stay. They compensated by giving us a $20 credit per room per day for stay but it was disruptive. At the end of our stay, reception was understanding and further reduced our rate-I'd say they did the right thing and we would recommend this hotel.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, location ,location Food was great
Cons: A/c was very weak even after staff adjusted it. Beds outdated

Pros: Things we liked: friendly atmosphere, beautiful grounds, fantastic location at the quiet end of the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops of Tamarindo.
Cons: Maybe a couple more pillows on the bed but just a suggestion.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to stay in Tamarindo
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Well maintained, easy access to the beach. Nice bar and great staff, from the front desk right to the bartender!!
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: This review is not of the hotel conditions but in the attitude of the management and staff. After having our original trip canceled we rerouted to Liberia and booked three night at this hotel in the morning on a thursday. Five hours later (that same day) our flight was cancelled. The staff and management were unwilling to refund our money, even for the second and third night citing the policy that reservations must be cancelled 72 hours in advance. I felt that given the extenuating circumstances that a partial refund would have been a reasonable compromise. The take away message is not to book in advance on the day of arrival but just risk it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked that they were very helpful
Cons: The beaches are not so beautiful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, right in front of the beach, 5 minute walk from town. All the staff are lovely can't say a bad word about anything here. Great place to stay especially for the price.
Cons: .
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was terrific and the staff was wonderful and accommodating.
Cons: My daughters’ first room had ants, 2 cockroaches and a scorpion the first night and they changed rooms at midnight.
7.9 Good
Pros: Spacious clean room and bathroom Well located with access directly onto a quieter end of the beach with a nice garden to relax and a short walk to the centre of Tamarindo.
Cons: Street room quite noisy especially on Friday night with loud music from a nearby bar as well as the traffic.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No breakfast or coffee in the morning.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good value for the money. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are generally fairly charming. Convenient, decent little view of the water from the restaurant pool area. The room was fully adequate. Housekeeping was good. When I requested an ironing board it came very promptly. Not right in town but a very short walk from the beach. Good restaurants within easy walking distance either way down the road. Bar serves plenty of beer and fine drinks.
Cons: The rooms and overall grounds are a bit tired and dated. This isn't a high-end luxury experience. The bar/pool/restaurant are equally sort of mid-range. Nothing wrong with them, but not swanky or particularly nice. The restaurant/bar is called Crazy Monkey... that should give you a notion. Just need to have appropriate expectations.
6.2 Good
Pros: Location location location close to nice Tamarindo beach! Staff was cordial and rooms were decent with the breakfast reasonable.
Cons: Very Noisy adults only type party at bar on Friday night- could not sleep till past 2.15! Not what I had bargained for when booking the place. Facilities are ok- you get what you pay for.
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: We had a room right by pool. We were assured the pool would be closed at 10:00 pm. People kept us up until 3:00 am. A few hours later it was loud people outside the door and shortly thereafter were cleaning ladies with trash cans making their rounds. It was horrible. I didn't stay the other two nights I booked and was told they weren't responsible for returns since I purchased with a third party. When my third party tried to reach them, they didn't answer all day.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Waited 2 hours for my suitcase. There was a party going on until 2 am on Friday so me and my wife couldn’t sleep. Water in the shower was cold.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the location of the hotel, even though it wasn't directly on the beach. But it was right in front, less than a 10 minute walk!! The pool area has a beautiful view of the beach to relax and enjoy. The reception office is a bit of a walk to get to but they are all helpful. They gave me advice regarding traveling by bus. The room is nicely decorated and the shower is pretty big! The bed was a tad small but overall great room.
Cons: I didn't like that you couldn't order room service, or I did not know how. I also didn't like the size of the bed but I understand I booked by third party so bed type isn't guaranteed.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice view
Cons: The staff was friendly but no professional. The included breakfast was ok, but not more and there was only one person working which means you have to wait for a long time. Our card for the room never worked and as the reception is located right at the beginning of the entrance, we always had to walk down and get a new card. There were not always towels available for the beach and if you needed one for the pool, you had to walk down to the reception. There has been a party during our stay and we have been informed during the check-in, which was fine. Nevertheless, the music was really horrible, but I think this is a question of personal taste.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The people that work in the hotel was very nice!!! Service was excelent!!!
Cons: The noice on party friday in the hotel because the ones that are look to have rest and be relax.
6.7 Good
Cons: No Windows but a door on the path to the restaurant..
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location Friendly staff
Cons: Hot water in the shower was not available The room had no fridge Twice we found the room without towels The door cards were enabled many time which meant going to reception Reception’s location way too far
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff was good. Meet expectations
Cons: I stayed twice in the same month. Staff at the restaurant was friendly and proactive during my visits. The rooms were in bad conditions. Toilets did not work properly, conditioner was not available. Shampoo wwas less than a quarter of the dispenser. Towels were dirty and in bad conditions. The first stayed the pool had an smell.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing. They offer beach equipments such as surf board, stand up paddle etc for free, room is spacious and clean.
Cons: Breakfast is not good, the have a few options and takes long. Every Friday they have a pool party which attracts people from everywhere. It gets sort loud and crowded. Not ideal for families staying there. The staff sends you a letter to your bedroom warning about the letter and offer complimentary year plugs. We booked an ocean view room but when for there they said it wasn't available.
