The house is just lovely and the rooms are the nicest i could find in taganga (and I've tried few places). The patio is so relaxing and breakfest at the house balcony is a super nice way to open your day. I also enjoyed the fact that Paula's husbend runs a diving shop - they orgenized everything for me and I just had to show up!(must say also that the dive shop is great! With great staff and equipment) Bottom line- excellent value for money!!!
Cons: I always read the negatives too, but this time just skip to the positive ;)

Pros: Great value, great location, amazing staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s a peaceful hotel with a lovely pool and terrace area. Location is perfect- right on the beach but slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. Breakfast is also brilliant !
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooftop hangout and friendly staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Right near the beach. Small walk to a even quieter beach.
Cons: It was a good place to stay, not much not to like. A little noisy with music and dogs at times but then it is known as a bit of a party town. I managed to sleep well anyway. Shame about rubbish everywhere!!! (mainly plastics)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms w own bathroom. Can get cleaned daily if you want. Closet with lock in the room. Good fans (2). Great breakfast with different options. Very quick laundry service (for a small fee). Friendly bilingual staff who’ll give you recommendations on restaurants and diving schools. Cooled beverages for sale (cheap), which you can enjoy on one of the roof terraces, where there are tables, chairs, lounge chairs and hammocks in the shade. Also great view of the ocean & sunsets. When you exit the hotel, you’re immediately on the strip of Taganga, with all the shops and restaurants and the ocean.
Cons: Only criticism that we might have is that the pool is more like a big bathtub that you could cool of in. There’s no space to swim in there :p
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really kind and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice terrace with hammocks
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious. The staff very kind and helpful. The terrace with hammocks was perfect during the evening. I would recommend this place!
Cons: The bedroom was a bit too small and the fan (no air conditioning) a bit noisy

Pros: Really friendly hotel owner, who took time to explain everything to be done in Taganga. Nice terrace to chill out and see the sunset. The hotel is next to the beach and the bus stop to Santa Marta is 2 minutes away.
Cons: The room was a little disappointing (base floor, no view, very basic), but the private bathroom was better.

Pros: Friendly staff, good location
Cons: There was no hot water in the shower

Cons: There was no hot water in the shower but it wasn't necessary
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly kind. Very clean
9.6 Excellent
Pros: excellent service. everybody in the hotel is very helpful and friendly. Big pool and all very clean and comfortable... We'll come again!
Cons: -
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely - large, great aircon and was good to have fridge and kitchenette facilities. Lovely pool. Breakfast excellent to have included.
Cons: Quite a way out from the main restaurant area and shops so felt a bit isolated, especially given the poor repair of the roads around Taganga. Given lack of restaurant options in the area around the hotel it. Oils have been a bit on the pricey side but very clean and peaceful if that is what you are looking for.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is new, clean, really comfortable bed. The owner is very helpful and the breakfast is great
Cons: The streets in Taganga are not nice, they are unpaved so full of dirt and rubbish. However, when we went, the town was under construction to change this
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The host was very helpful and she helped us with booking our trip to Tayrona Park and was very flexible with the number of nights we wanted to stay. She helped us with getting a taxi to the airport when checking out. The room was clean and well kept with a small kitchen and fridge. We liked the jacuzzi where we could watch sunset and the breakfast included was great. The staff were also very kind and helpful. We also loved Bruno the cat.
Cons: Sometimes the neighbours play very loud music late into the evening and even into the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is away from the crowds and bars. Has a rooftop lounge area with jacuzzis and a great view. Room was large and impeccable. Swimming pool was large enough to actually swim a few strokes. Staff was welcoming and helpful. A great stay!
Cons: There was nothing about the hotel we disliked. For some reason, people in the neighborhood sometimes play music at top volume, but likely still quieter than being close to the marina/beach and all the bars there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly courteous staff, delicious fresh cooked breakfast everyday, lovely well cleaned room with AC, lovely private clean pool, peaxeful area, really enjoyed my 4 day stay here and recommend it highly to anyone!
Cons: jacuzzi tubs werent functional during my stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff room pool
Cons: It is a very nice place with great staff. Very helpful. Google map is a bit misleading the hotel is one street to the South of the Magic hotel
7.5 Good
Pros: Everthing fades away with the hospitality of the owner of this hotel. She has still big plans for improvements for this location and I'm convinced that it will be better every day!
Cons: Everything was clean in general but - the towels were not so clean and not folded, were just hanging on the wall. Maybe these were not new..(!) - There is no warm water (as Booking.com mentioned) - There is no restaurant, also not correctly mentioned by Booking.com

5.0 Okay
Pros: - Victor at the reception was a great help with his excellent English - Breakfast is good - there is a nice and spacious terrace
Cons: - San Marcos was by far the worst hotel we had on our round trip of Colombia, but far from being the cheapest - the room for the four of us was tiny, there was only on shelf, no other furniture except for the beds - the bathroom was tiny, too. Adults had to sit on the toilet almost sideways - our shower didn´t work and even worse, staff probably knew about it - on checkout, which was quite early, we almost weren´t allowed out, because they didn´t immediately find one of our towels
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hostel , clean , comfortable with a nice big terrace to chill. Breakfast is great. The hostel is just a short walk to restaurants and beach. María, Víctor and Gina are just wonderful, always happy to help you.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The included breakfast is really nice, the staff is amazing and really friendly. I could stay there all day after check out, use the showers, the barbecue, everything. The hostel is really big with a lot of hammocks and different areas a which makes it a great space to calm down, chill out and be alone for once in a while. Still, if you want to, you can easily socialize. The rooms are big and spatial and with lockers, toilet and shower separated.
Cons: The food is a bit expensive for what you get.. At least the veggie options. The sweet crepes are amazing though.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else.
Cons: Only one person of the staff was speaking english, but in Colombia it s quiet normal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A great place to stay here and do the PADI, there are also nice restaurants and bars at the beach and you can book a lot of tours in taganga! There is also a boat to tayrona every morning ond way for 50000 COP, so you don‘t have to walk there like you have to when you go by bus from santa marta. The people are very nice and the food is great. Taganga isn‘t dangerous anymore, that was two years ago.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The place across the road was so loud, my room was vibrating from the sound system. As I said I couldn’t stay here for 3 more nights, I didn’t get any refunds.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and spacious room, nice terace with hammocks.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The possibility to chill in the hammocks, ventilator to sleep well
Cons: Very noisy neighbors but not people to mess with so not hostals fault and nothing to be done.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely hostel. Large garden with tables and hammocks, lovely helpful staff and lovely cafe with delicious food. Definitely worth staying, we really enjoyed our time here, this is our second stay!
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff, common area, location
Cons: There is nothing to complain about casa felipe. It is a low budget accomodation and for that price really good. The rooms are simple and they clean it every day and give fresh towels. Whats special about this hostel is its common area. There is a kitchen (didnt use it though) and a great outside area. The staff is super friendly and sweet. The food is not really a highlight bit you can go out to habe diner or lunch. I would go there again, it is a 5 or 10 minutes walk from the center but nice and quite!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing personel Wonderful location, taganga is the place to be in santa marta Great restaurant Nice breakfast Awesome atmosphere
Cons: Internet is quite slow from time to time No air conditioning but fortunately the fans are very efficient
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming staff, awesome house to relax in a hamac with barbecue, kitchen and a landscape view rooftop. For sure we will come back.
Cons: A bit far from city center, but residence is worth the 5-7 minute walk

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great owner: Lucy, very helpful even as the rest of the staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lucie and her team create a relaxed vibe unrivaled in Taganga. The food is very good indeed and the menu has a wide variety of options to suit all dietary requirements. The place is impeccably clean and represents fantastic value for money. This is the 4th time I have stayed which is the best endorsement I can give.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the food was excellent! I also like the tab system because you’re not constantly getting your wallet out.
Cons: Not a hostel problem but I could never get mo eg out of the ATM in town. Bring plenty of cash.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great for a night. Nice location off the main area of Taganga. Food and staff were great! Room is basic but comfortable
Cons: We could hear the base of the music until 5am. Not 100% sure if it was coming from the bar area or not
6.3 Good
Pros: Pool was nice.
Cons: Kitchen was basic, not many things to cook with.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice hostel with a lovely pool area to chill out at. Good sized pool with a good few chairs and shaded hammocks beside it. We booked a budget double en-suite room and it was perfect. Our room was clean and spacious. There was no air conditioning but there was a fan which worked well. Breakfast was included so it was good value overall. In a central enough location in Taganga, although the town is very small. Bar area was nice and reasonably priced. We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on the food. They have a decent menu though. Would recommend staying here as you could chill out in the hostel during the day if not diving, as the town itself doesn’t have much to offer.
Cons: Arrived at 2pm, just in time for check in but our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait until 3 before we could use the room. Not a big deal at all but we were very eager to change and use the pool as it was a hot day.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice friendly hostel with a lovely swimming pool. Rooms basic but perfect for what we needed and clean. Good sociable bar and AMAZING food! The breakfast was the best we have had in our travels and evening meals were incredible for the price. Would definitely recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I didn't have the breakfast, but all of the food and drinks I had were amazing. Chef didn't mind altering some dishes as I am vegan and wanted a curry! Hostel itself has a beautiful outdoor area, with pool and beautiful trees. Hammocks and chill out areas were super. All staff and volunteers were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Pool area and rooms were cleaned daily.
Cons: Wifi would cut out sometimes (not for more than 5 minutes) but I believe this to be a Taganga wide problem and not the hostel itself. Was never a problem for long.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great pool and good beds and pillows ! Also it's nice to be able to book activities directly with the hostel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Like the helpful staff and the accomodation. The owner is really helpful and tries her best to make everybody benefit from tourism.
Cons: We stayed three night. Two of them we we worked up.. we were sleeping under the bar where other guests started playing pool in the early morning. The balls hit the floor many times keeping waking us up a 07am and out of our sleep. Talked to the staff about it and they said they will cover the pool table for the night (and morning :)) The last day an employee started to fix seats in the bar. He was hammering with the chairs on the floor which also waked us up. Staff should be more considerable at this situations.

Great air conditioner in the room (very important in the area). Useful kitchen for those who want to cook. Fantastic breakfast includes 2 eggs, bread, fresh fruits, milkshake and coffee. Very good value for money, would recommend it highly!
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming place and a very nice and taff! Helpful with good tips and very friendly. The place is calm and good located!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The Bolivian male staff was very friendly
Cons: 1. It is a dangerous hostel. There are too many irregular small stairs. It is so easy to fall over. I also had many dangerous moments. The walkway on the second floor was too dangerous. The passage stairway width was too small 2. The kitchen was very dirty. There were not enough kitchen appliances and old appliances. You will have to think about whether you can cook here. - Attach photos - [ Vertical photo not registered normally]
8.3 Excellent
Pros: staff was super friendly! they can cook you a great meal if you ask them, we asked for fresh fish, the best in town! a good place to stay. fair price and enough space to relax.

Other facilities offered at the property include a tour desk, luggage storage and laundry facilities. You can play table tennis and darts at the guest house. Santa Marta is 3 km from Hostal Casa Horizonte, while the nearest airport, Simon Bolivar Airport is a 30-minute drive away.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view of the terrace is AMAZING, the house is on a steep hill, which gives you a great view. Very chill place, if you want to getaway and do nothing this is the place for you! If you are doing a scuba course in taganga, it’s a 5 min walk. Very relaxed environment!
Cons: The staff is not very friendly. They apparently have a key for you to take if you are coming home late at night (midnight), but that is not mentioned when you check in, expect to buzz the door for a while and be faced with an angry screaming woman ( she apologized the next day for being hysterical and said she was very sleepy - hence the screams). The environment of the place definitely outbeats the service. I think there is a big language barrier with the staff... if you speak Spanish, it might be a smoother place for you!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality of the owners, being able to stay and use the facilities after check-out, amazing view, very calm and many hamacs to chill, great food.
Cons: Beds are not very comfortable. As other comment mentionned, don't go if you're not in a good shape or if you have a luggage (which is not a backpack). Not ideal if you plan to party as well.
5.8 Okay
Pros: We loved the actual location of the hostal, great views, but the climb to get there was horrendous. Swimming pool is great, large enough.
Cons: The lady running the place is moody and does clearly not enjoy her job at all. She is moody and everything you ask her seems to much trouble. She shouts your name and then you have to come running to get your food. If you don’t hurry she gets very irritated. Her daughter (?) is no better. The lady who helps at breakfast time and cleans is very nice. When we arrived after the horrible climb with 2 kids the lady demanded our passports. A more friendly welcome would be better, let us at least catch our breath! Our room was not cleaned during our 3 day stay. The toilet paper bin not even emptied, disgusting. The swimming pool does not have a (working) shower, and they demanded we take a shower in our room prior to swimming, not very nice to have to walk wet in your room, and a bit weird. The climb is truly gruelling. No path, just a dirt rocky steep path and quite dirty too. We walked it once a day with kids, doable, but take your time!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Be aware it's a bit of a walk (5 min) up a steep road where no cars can go, but the views and being away from all the noise makes it totally worth it! Lovely views and pool, nice room with AC.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food Service Views There are no. Mosquitoes (at least for me)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love this place, the view is incredible and the staff is very nice,! Definitely I would love to stay more here, we love it and we felt in love, the hill to get the hostal is a little hard, but we love hiking and workout so we enjoyed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is cosy and beautiful. The views are stunning. Pay for breakfast was an excellent choice and the common areas are comfortable and clean.
Cons: The path to go to the Hostel is a way up, it is a bit difficult to walk up if you are not in good shape. There are a few houses around with cocks crowing since very early. You wouldn't need an alarm to wake up.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hostel itself is very beautiful and relaxed. Amazing view. Staff is very kind. Great spot to do some diving activities; about 10 min walk to the beach.
Cons: The way up to the hostel is kinda harsh, very steep. With suitcases difficult.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easily one of the best hostels we’ve stayed at in Colombia. Hostel is tucked away in the hill overlooking the bay of Taganga - with the most stunning few. It’s so nice to be away from the craziness of the town below. Facilities are amazing with a lovely pool, table tennis, lots of chill areas. Liliana who owns the place is fab, she is always so happy to help and an amazing cook. The place is spotless.
Cons: Nothing - just be aware there is a very steep walk up the hill!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The AC room was incredible, the whole house is super clean and we loved Rocco the dog! also the pool area is beautiful to relax!
Cons: nothing

Pros: Clean hostel with great vibes, comfortable bed and air conditioner in the room. Good and big pool and bice places to sit. Easy location few blocks from the beach. The people in the reception are amazing! Helped with everything with a smile
Cons: The prices in the kichen was expensive sometimes
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very fun atmosphere, nice pool and music. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even in the middle of the night. Great location Really good restaurant that's open 24/7
Cons: The wifi isn't stable and pretty slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people working here are extremely friendly and helpful. Really make you feel at home. Best place to stay in Santa Marta or Taganga. They offer a lot of great excursions that are perfectly well planned, in-house 24/7 restaurant, pool, great viewing point, really all you need and more.
Cons: Nothing is bad here. Really great place to stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hostel had a bar and restaurant with great food/snacks/ice cream available! Rooms were cleaned daily. The pool was nice and there's a pool table as well. Can book any tour from the hostel which is super convenient.
Cons: Beds were slightly uncomfortable. We had to ask for towels. They also don't give you a room key (have to ask at the desk every time you need access) and they don't give you the AC remote to change the temp.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooftop area is a great place to watch the sunset and chill on the swings or comfortable couches. Pool is perfect for the weather and beautifully clean. 24/7 kitchen is very handy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of food and beverages. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Air con is fantastic because it is HOT there. Bathrooms are clean and even though there is no hot water, I welcomed the cold water to freshen up! They have a pool table and giant jenga, a TV and PlayStation to keep you entertained. Perhaps brush up on your Hebrew first however..
Cons: Just be aware that there is no communal kitchen for you to cook your own food so you have to purchase from the restaurant or go elsewhere to eat. But the food is great!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great! Shoutout to Diana and the Renny :)
Cons: The wifi was not great
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place, good music. Slightly party hostel but not over the top. Noise didn't bother me at all. 24 hour restaurant is a huge plus.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Neighborhood didnt feel so safe
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great food ,amazing balcony and pool.
Cons: The fan was open and i got injured from this i asked from them to fix it days after its happend and nothing.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the view, the pool and the jacuzzi
Cons: My mum is 75 and she found the lack of lift difficult at times - in the rain and when it was hot.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is incredibly friendly. The view from the hill is spectacular. It's a very short walk into town to everything you need. Would recommend.
7.5 Good
Pros: Sea view.
Cons: Noise from parties in town. And wind howled around the balcony.
7.9 Good
Cons: Seaview room was view on electricity lamps and security camera directly on balcony and bedroom
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view from my room
Cons: The stairs
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We love the view of the beach, also, it is a good place to have access to many places: tayrona, beaches close to the hotel. The hotel has a good bed, the room is a bit small, we doesn’t stay to much time in the room in Taganga.
Cons: This hotel the water of the shower is always cold. Please, we expect to have hot and cold water in the toilet. Also, add more food to the breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful setting with a lovely view and the village of Taganga is still unspoilt. However the road through the town to the hotel at the moment is quite bad because one can't pass through the waterfront. The restaurant is good. Just 15/20 min walk past the hotel is the famous Playa Grande. On WE it's quite full with Colombian turists and a little less with foreign tourists. In Taganga there are 2 ATM machines for withdrawing money (near the police station). The hotel offers to arrange excursions to Tyrona etc with more convenient pricing than local agencies.
Cons: The road through the town to the hotel is quite bad (potholes).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fair daily breakfast, overall great restaurant. The arroz con coco was greatly appreciated, as was the closeness to the village of Taganga and to the path to Playa Grande. Amazing view with very friendly and welcoming staff!
7.9 Good
Pros: The panoramic from the hotel is the best!!! Its just what you need for a sleep and breakfast. Staff is helpful and nice
Cons: Beds are not confortable, but it was enough There is a dump area next to the entrance, so there are a lot of street dogs and cats around it looking for food in the trash, which breaks your heart
8.3 Excellent
Cons: You could hear the wind all the time, it was annoying.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: TLDR- Superb service, Accommodating, Clean, Good Value; Safe. The house and the views from the rooftop balcony lounge are stunning. Maria was very accommodating from the moment we arrived and set up all the plans for our outing. We just knew we wanted to check out Parque Tayrona. She arranged us discounted rates even though we were gouged everywhere else we visited and told us where to go to for a good swim. She even took us to one of her favorite restaurants the first night we arrived to give us a good sense of the area. Her dogs were very friendly but relaxed; and the food and drinks were pretty good too. I can't show enough gratitude to Maria. She is part of a neighborhood security service that made sure we were safe when we stayed out late in the town. If you're checking out Santa Marta, this is the place to stay on a budget!
Cons: The visit turned out to be wayy too short =(
7.9 Good
Pros: The owner is lovely and goes the extra mile to look after her guests.
Cons: It is a short walk through a more residential area so feels a little further away from the action (but Taganga is very small so not much of an issue)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Everything is super clean and the view from the balcony is amazing. Internet and AC works fine. A little bit to walk but everything is still in a walkable distance. I recommend this place
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property and the room was very clean with a nice terrace on the roof top with an beautiful view. The owner tried to help us with information yet she treated us rather like children not people approaching 40s.
Cons: It's a noisy house, you hear everything because there is no windows. There were times when we told her hat other guests were to noisy during the night but she didn't do anything. The owner live in the same house and gives you the impression that she's doing you a favor and like a client has payed good money for the room(she has repeatedly closed the tap water when we were washing the dishes oftenly telling you the water and electricity is expensive-this is very rude). You can't really use the kitchen because she is always doing something there and it's really small. Every time when you go to the kitchen she is asking you what do you want to do, which for 10 days was quite annoying.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Maria is an excellent host and assists with recommendations and advices. Our room had a huge and comfy bed and the room itself was very clean. Taganga is nothing very special but we always felt safe (not as you read in the most comments!!).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Maria, the proprietor, is extremely friendly and accommodating. She is a wealth of local knowledge and gives very good advice on local sightseeing trips. She will do her best to help you arrange transportation etc. and help to get you a good price. The hostel is about 10 minutes walk up hill. It is on the edge of the village which makes it quieter than staying in the center - but at the end of a long day it does feel like a long walk.
Cons: The hostel is about 10 minutes walk up hill. Not a big deal but if you have heavy bags or are infirm/ elderly it might be a factor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Woman running this place is great, friendly "mamma" :-) Terrace with a view.
Cons: Cold water only... but this is true for most of Taganga. Location: it's uphill, relatively far from everything.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place and madre di casa!
Cons: It is a little bit of a walk, but no issue for us

Cons: Mini ants in the bathroom but it was cleaned everyday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: andres thd host wss the best i have encountered in traveling in latin america - he speaks english well and does everything to make your stay five star. casa tara is very quiet and comfortable and fans cooling and nice ocean breeze. the location is perfect - 5 min from beach and boat excusions to tayrona park and bus for 2,000 cop to santa marta extended visit and highly recommended.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I did not end up spending the night as I had to fly out last minute. Andres was so helpful in helping me get to the airport and exchanging my remaining pesos, he even refunded me for that night because I didn't stay over! A warm, friendly, and helpful welcome he provides! I would book there again if I went back, a nice and cozy accommodation!
5.4 Okay
Pros: Close location to tayrona national park. Friendly and helpful staff, you feel like at home.
Cons: The facilities and services of the property are fair. We found Taganga unsafe for tourism, mainly at night, besides, dodgy dirty and messy. Activities hired not safe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Evetything wonderful - nice place - stayed here before

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner and her son were very nice and helpful. She pointed out where the road was in better shape so we knew the best way to get to the beach. There was also a corner store right across the street which was super convenient. The rooms were very spacious and the aircon worked really well. And The rooftop lounge was really awesome, such a great place to relax before or after the beach.
Cons: The beds were not the comfiest and it was a bit of a walk to the beach, really only five minutes but the roads are not the nicest.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: - the room was very big and comfortable (we took the big room for 4 people only for us as a couple) - the woman in the reception was very nice - only 5-7 minutes walking from the beach - the air-conditioner works very well, the shower was great
Cons: - there were lots of noises in the early morning (music, people talking) - the breakfast was tasty but very simple, it could be better (coffee, egg, bread and butter) - they didn't clean our room at all (we spent there 3 nights)
6.7 Good
Pros: The girl at the reception was very nice Good location
Cons: Bed linens were dirty when we arrived, full of dust because of an open window I guess. The girl nicely changed it. The shower was plugged, the water was leaving very slowly leaving all the dirt on the floor. Air conditioning was not working very well
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Mary, The host is The Best!
4.2 Okay
Pros: -
Cons: Very unfriendly staff. They didn't have the rooms that we booked . Gave us a standaard room and told us it was a suite. ! Charged more than the price from booking.com. Area is not safe.Even not at daytime It's not at the beach but a 200m walk. Swimmingpool without water!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Oscar was very friendly and helpful. He arranged a tour and gave further tips. Food was delicious and breakfast changed every day. The room was clean and cosy with fan and ac. We had a great stay and funny evenings sitting together.
7.5 Good
Pros: Mari, the host, made us feel welcome and at home right from the beginning. The location is a bit off the main road, so it‘s more quiet. Breakfast was simple but good. We were able to leave our luggage at the hostel for 2 nights while we went to Tayrona National Park.
Cons: The cleanliness could be improved, especially of the bed sheets. The water in the shower didn‘t drain properly. Our four bed room consisted of one single and a triple bed, which was fine for us.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: honestly I could not find a positive thing. Would not reccomend to stay in this hotel
Cons: When we arrived at the hotel the room did not reflect the photos we saw on booking: the room was very small, the bed had no sheets on and the bathroom was not clean and it was clearly used plus it had a terrible smell. the showers do not have a shower head and no hot water. ( in all rooms, we asked) We asked our room to be changed and they said they would give us a bigger room (a "suite") for the same price but that did not happen as we had to pay 10,000 pesos extra per night which was a bit unfair. Breakfast has a really limited choice: scrumbled eggs, fried eggs and cheese on toast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A great place, and Oscar was a great host. Always ready to help, great advice on food, what to visit and his English is really good. Thanks a lot for the good times!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome value for money and friendly local family runs the hostel
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, just a 5 minute walk from the beach, resturants, and main area. Rooms were good and the staff was excellent! They had a gril from a travel agency set us up on a great trip to Minca.
Cons: Across the way were neighbors that blasted out high volume music.

7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast made fresh - was good. Friendly staff, nice views of the bay. Clean room.
Cons: Dorms weren't even available for rent - and the place was empty. Very windy while I was in town, and the windows were rattling and shaking all night. Bit of an awkward walk back along the beach/rocks at high tide.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is ok, staff is very polite and helpful, breakfast included is always a plus
Cons: Bathroom was dirty and outdated
7.5 Good
Cons: Should invest in warm water for bathrooms, and small fridge in rooms
7.1 Good
Pros: It was in a lovely location at the beach, close to Tayrona Park entrada and Palomino beach. Pretty comfortable rooms and the reception staff was pretty nice.
Cons: The service was bad in general. We were there for 5 days and all of us were dissapointed due to no good service. It felt like we were in the way and the staff wanted to party and have fun together instead of working or serving the guests. A smile or two would have been nice, they were not service minded. The BAR wasnt open during weekdays and food in the restaurant was average, you could eat it but it wasnt that tasty.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view and the breeze.
Cons: Breakfast hours were posted in lobby but seemed like the lady did not want to do. So went into town instead.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location is good but the quick way to the town requires a bit of a scramble over rocks at high tide. Ac worked well
Cons: Initially there was no gas available in our kitchen only after we insisted that we paid for a working kitchen we got gas. The kitchenware was dirty. It felt like we were an annoyance to the staff. Internet didn’t work in our cabaña. Cannot recommend.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location - a little removed from the noise of Taganga. The rooms were clean, the staff was accommodating (though they did not speak English), and the kitchen was decent.
Cons: This property has definitely seen better days. Signs of wear and tear with insufficient attention to bring it into good repair. Eg - safe is broken, shower head malfunctions, chipped wood. But for the money you get pretty good value!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view from the terrace, plenty of hammocks, 2 pools, good breakfast. Staff is nice but you need to speak Spanish here.
Cons: The last day my coffee was served cold and the eggs had a crazy amount of salt on them.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: there are some cool stuff like hammocks and some. pools but. not worth the headache
Cons: DO NOT BOOK DO NOT BOOK This is why; we booked a 3 bed room but what they didnt write. is that the room itself is birds nest, roof is made of leaves they were spider webs inside and no killa on the beds while the room has only one window that u cannot close we asked to switch to. another room and it had cockroaches inside. the crew does and sais whatever they want for example the cook that was in the kitchen when we asked for breakfast started screamin at us sayin that the other cook got fired so its not her job to cook for us, one of the crew. said that breakfast is till 10am and when we came half an hour before they said its closed and when we asked to talk to the manager the crew said that theyre. not authorized to let us talk to him/her the pools always remain dirty aswell so make urself a favor and think twice before. comin here !

Pros: Good value for the price.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great. I rented a private room with shared bathroom. Room had two good fans so the heat was no problem. Strong internet connection. Shared kitchen. Common areas were cleaned regularly. In a quiet part of town.
Cons: Water pressure in bathroom is a little week. I stayed over a week and no one came to clean my room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and great price.
Cons: Rooms close to the social area so noise a problem. A ways away from the beach. Could have been a little cleaner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I felt like I was in my own home..thanks for you..
7.1 Good
Cons: We did laundry at the hostel and pay for it. They use metal strings for drying the things, which left sposts of rust on our clothes. We showed IT to the owner-not even say 'lo sciento' or 'desculpa', nada. Their neighbour started playing music very very very loud at 5 AM!!!! (earplugs didnt help and generally speaking im a person who easily sleep in all conditions). they didint do anything about it, and other guests told us it is like this everyday. It is very hot in private dorms, they have only fans - no AC. But it was still difficult to fall asleep with both fans on - we were all sweaty
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice common spaces and balcony and great friendly staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything excelent. I really recommend ir
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Good staff and good location. Dorm for our self !
Cons: The noise of the fan !
6.3 Good
Pros: The price is very cheap, and the communal area (at the central part which has the dorm rooms) had a nice atmosphere.
Cons: We were bummed that the private rooms were at a different location than the hostel common garden and kitchen. The room was also quite hot, and the apartment was minimally furbished.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good Price/quality ratio. Very nice people working there! Not too far from center and beach, rooms have everything u need.
Cons: Not the cleanest hostel and town but all good for chill travellers :)
