Cons: Overpriced spa
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great comfort, service, and breakfast! Very nice overall experience.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so lovely and kind and helpful (despite language barriers). We had breakfast and it was a really fun experience. Our room was really really large, beautiful, in typical architecture of the area, and exceptionally clean!! We really loved this room. The place is a big gorgeous house, with an adorable kitty! A very quiet, peaceful stay.
Cons: The accommodation is a house on a residential street, with no signs or indication that you're going in the right direction until you're at the front porch knocking on the door! We felt as if we were just intruding on someone's personal home, very lost, until the lovely staff member opened the door and welcomed us. Definitely get very clear instructions on how to find it beforehand. It's about a 20 minute walk to the main part of town, 7 minute walk to one major monastery.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As Suzdal is rather small, all the locations are walking-time away from the centre. But this particular hotel offers more than that - a quite neighborhood just block away from the monastery and market, with fancy and save surroundings. The staff is friendly and professional, the breakfast in russian style is good in amount and quality. The facility offers kitchen for free all time available. Wifi is strong and reliable. The rooms are big and have everything needed. Parking lot and small but nice garden also create the comfortable athmosphere. Strongly recomend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very well done. The place is clean, quiet, the breakfast just right. The staff was warm and efficient. We liked the "home away from home" atmosphere there. It's a hotel, but truly doesn't feel like one!
Cons: I suppose it might be helpful if one could pay by card there. It wasn't a problem for us, but maybe that'd be a helpful addition to the service.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - Very friendly and helpful staff, they made our stay wonderful - Great banya available at additional charge - Children’s play area, with a good variety of toys and couches for adults to lounge on - Spacious, clean and beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds - Breakfast was tasty -Overall it had a very cozy, homey feel, I would’ve gladly extended our stay if our schedule had allowed it.
Cons: - No on-site restaurant, so additional breakfast orders (eggs, syrniki, blini, etc) have to be placed the night before - Our bathroom didn’t have hot water, not sure if it was the same for other rooms or just ours - About 30 min walk away from Kremlin and main museums, though we didn’t really mind as it was an easy walk and it gave us a chance to get a feel for the city
9.6 Excellent
Pros: owner sweet. breakfast delicious. room space enough. clean house.
Cons: none
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our host Marina was so friendly and helpful, hotel was extremely clean and we enjoyed staying there with my family.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything Great Highly recommend to stay here
Cons: Shower room is too high floor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I stayed one night in this hotel. It is 30min walk to the bus station. A little outside of downtown but with good restaurants near by and also a very authentic Russian spa at 1 min walk (I do recommend the experience!!) I liked the room, all in wood. You have everything you need. The breakfast as well was very enjoyable. They arranged for me a lift to go back to Vladimir train station for 1200, and they gave me a little snack which is adorable.
Cons: I wish I would have curtains at my window, I woke up very early with the sunshine. The hotel is all in wood which is lovely but it is not soundproof though. I could hear the family talking next door. I wish the staff could speak better English so I could ask more questions or have information about Suzdal. They were lovely and helpful though.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A home-feel hotel, very warm hospitality especially for the cat :) It is not in city centre, but I enjoy the quietness and Everywhere is in a walking distance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service in this hotel was impeccable. We rocked up with loads of questions - where can we get an english-speaking guide? Where can we rent sledges? Where should we go eat? A very lovely lady at the reception helped us out, found and arranged a brilliant guide, found a place to rent sledges, also gave us all information on sightseeing and banya (banya in their hotel was brilliant too - they serve some really nice jam with the herbal tea;)). Oh...and they started up a fire in their fireplace for us:)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The environment and setting are equally stunning. Staff are friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, interior and exterior decoration (so genuine and warm, reminded me on the small cottage of Peter I in Kolomenskoe), spacey room, great breakfast (vast choice of local products and traditional russian food), kind staff, pleasant garden, secure parking... there is not much to add.
Cons: N/a
9.2 Excellent
Pros: At first I thought the hotel was far away from town, but once we got orientated we loved the location - a short and charming walk across a river bridge into the little town, everything within walking distance. Very close to the museum of wooden buildings. The weather was not great while we were there and the rooms were nice and cosy, spotlessly clean and a good size. Good breakfast in the morning with lots of choice. There is a hotel with a restaurant very close and also a little food shop. Would definitely recommend this choice for staying in Suzdal,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: a big cat! really cute! staff are nice and in english.

7.5 Good
Pros: nice place very good breakfast.
Cons: we found a taxi by Yandex from valdimir to go there, the driver is not honest and he wants more money for our baggage only after we arrived. we use always Yandex in Russia, the price is calculate automatically and we have never been charged for our baggage. The driver do not speak english and tells something to the owner who seems very angry and told us YOU MUST PAY, and donnot listen us. I recommend this place but you should pay attention to the drivers. It is not easy to communicate with the people without integrity, especially when you have no chance to explain yourself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was treated as the son-in-law any mother would desire for her daughter. With a very warm welcome. Explained where tea/coffee was, mineral water, map of the town, what to see...The place is a house with 4 rooms I would say. Mine was at the attic with a very large room probably around 30 sqm + another room (and bed) which would lead onto the bathroom. Everything was impeccably clean. At the exact agreed time I had the best breakfast I possibly could have ever had, only could have been enhanced with fresh fruit (didn´t ask for it either as I didn't want to bother the "Hosianka".) I know if asked she would have found something, asked the neighbours or gone into town just to bring it. Fresh home brewed coffee, scrambled eggs in a pot which were delicious, tender, perfectly cooked; home made сырники (sirniki) and блины (blini - pancakes) with сметана (smetana - a kind of cream less sour than sour cream, close to a youghourt in taste) and home made jam. Also bread and sausage roll and cheese so I could prepare a sandwich for my trip. She even brought me a small bag for it. She even took me to the bus station when I asked if she could called a taxi for me! She speaks a little bit of English, by the way and if she doesn´t find the way to explain you something will put her daughter on the phone who does.
Cons: The street that leads onto the house is a secondary road, easy to miss as it looks even like a private road, specially at night. Being a little appart from town can either give you the creeks or enjoy a lovely silent and peaceful walk through the woods nearby, which is why people are usually attracted to Suzdal. I went by taxi from the town centre and was 150 roubles, 5 min drive.

Pros: The location is one of the best, just in the heart of Suzdal. The room is quite spacious, the bathroom is spacious, cosy and well equipped. Tea/coffee in the room.
Cons: The breakfast is only available from 8 a.m., which is generally early for Suzdal, where almost everything is closed until 10 a.m. However, given the general breakfast practices in hotels and the need to leave early, if you travel by car, makes it not quite comfortable.

Pros: Everything including breakfast was great
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent. The property is neat and clean. Value for money! supermarket, restaurants nearby. everything in suzdal is walking distance from this hotel. center of town!
Cons: The staff is not very polite. I left a beer in the fridge in my room upon checking out. While i was checking out, i informed the receptionist of the same and requested them to ask their Housekeeping staff to kindly bring the bottle to the reception, Meanwhile i was out for lunch. After arriving back to the hotel to collect my luggage and the beer, when i asked for the same to the receptionist, she first ignored the beer, and later said they have already allocated the room to their new guests and cannot check the fridge! May be they dont value their guests' requests that much!

Cons: Check-in process was very slow and inefficient. The staff at the reception is a bit cold and untrained. They also hardly speak English. We ordered a taxi to Vladimir station assuming that the car that the hotel provides must be verified and clean. The hotel charges a hefty premium for calling a taxi. The taxi turned out to be a lousy, dirty small car with a driver who was really rash. I could have hailed the taxi if I knew that this was the case.

Pros: Very kind and friendly

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Katya was a great host and the house was clean and nice. It was a bit big for our family of 5 but we really enjoyed the stay. Most importantly Katya was very responsive before our visit and very helpful when we got there about sights that we should see.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great homemade pancake and omelet for breakfast. Staff is really helpful, ordered taxi and communicated with our next property owner in Vladimir.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: House was very cozy overall. Many channels on TV including international channels. Bathroom floor was heated from below, which is a very nice touch -so you don't need to use the complimentary slippers they give you. Although it didn't include breakfast, the menu is very accessible and all food we ordered was excellently prepared and in good sized portions - better than the proportion found in restaurants. The staff is friendly and solicitous with a nice dog. I'm not the greatest Banya fan, but my wife is and she found the facilities amazing - so if you like banya my expert Russian partner supports this choice! All of the bedroom and bathroom's features were good, including the bed. There's a very good restaurant close to the hotel called Kvasnaya Izba, I really recommend it!
Cons: I found it to be slightly far from the city centre (if you look at the map and see the Kremlin, that's the beginning of the tourist area). It took us 5-10 minutes walking to get to where it all was, which normally would be a piece of cake with nice scenery, but the cold made it a bit less comfortable, especially at night. The hotel staff is only accessible by phone, so it could be an issue if you come without a Russian SIM card.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good sauna and wonderful service, I would appreciate if they would accept credit cards as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location, perfect big banya and friendly hostess

Pros: I stayed in the hotel for the second time, the previous one was 5 or 6 years ago. The hotel is still nice and cozy. I like wooden decoration of rooms and hotel interiors a lot. The staff is nice and affable. The location of the hotel is really fascinated because it is quite close to the city center and in the calm place in the same time. Car parking is available and free of charge. I would like to stay here again when I visit Suzdal next time.
Cons: The shower is quite small; breakfast is a bit out of mys style but the reason is that I am not a fan of porridge.

Pros: Great location, nice facilities. The breakfast provided was tasty.
Cons: Standardly missing coffee/ tea cooker. On request we were provided.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, lovely setting of three houses split for rooms with separate entrance. Very functional and lovely furnishings. Helpful management.
Cons: Breakfast a bit boring with order from limited choice of food the day before. But actually this is okay, Sauna is too simple. Too hot in the area where you supposed to rest after sauna. No couchette to lay, only benches.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room, parking, banya, cleanliness, breakfast, value for money, all very good and in a wonderful part of the world.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: good house with good view
Cons: can't pay online
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We traveled from Vladimir by bus. And dragged luggage from the busstop to the hostel. First time it may be difficult to find a hostel because you walk through a small door. Through the church. But once l knew the way. It's not difficult. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The view from the room is very beautiful church. There are plates, knives, forks, coffee cups and dinning tables in the room butwithout microwave oven but can borrow a kettel. Attractions and supermarket are not far from accommodation
Cons: No microwave oven . No kitchen. No coffee and tea. But have a refrigerator in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful compound of cottages very close to Suzdal centre. Vladimir is super helpful and very friendly. The place was so cosy that it was hard to leave it.
7.5 Good
Pros: The Manager was very nice. He was friendly . He helped with every thing. The breakfast is russian standard. Okay, but nothing extraordinary.
Cons: I had to pay through a russian banc account. That was a bit complicated, since I don´t have a russian bank. I´d like to pay with VISA that would have been less complicated. The walls are not very thick, so you here the people next to your room. If you want to have a very quiet room you should go to a different room. If you have a familiy with small kids next to you, it might become a stress.

7.1 Good
Pros: Mini Bar had no beer etc
Cons: Menu was full of dishes they did not have. Lobby Bar closed. One cup of coffee at breakfast. Reminds of SU.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Territory, room, music in the hall in the evening, location.
Cons: The variety of the breakfast day by day and prices in the restaurant.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property has a large footprint along the main road. It has many facilities for a weekend stay with friends and family, even a sizable white tent that looks like it can be used for large dinner parties or a small wedding! The room was large with furniture and fittings handpicked from a different era - the tap was made of burnished copper. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and shower pressure was ok. The wifi signal strength was not anything to write home about. Being on the main road, it was a nice walk to the main monasteries; the Suzdal kremlin is a little far away nearly at the other end of town. Breakfast was a buffet with a reasonable selection of fruit, cereal and hot food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Several toilets and showers and they cleaned them everyday.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Third time to have weekend in Suzdal, and I chose this hotel. The location is not in the center of the town, you may need to walk about 10 minutes from the center. There is a big park just next to the hotel. This is a modern desinged hotel, every building has different styles. The staff arranged me a big room which can live three persons. It was enjoyable to have a walk in the morning in the garden. Facilities are great in the room, and staff here are friendly.
Cons: The buffet breakfast is great, but on Monday the hotel cancelled buffet breakfast, instead, arranged guests to have breakfast in a restaurant. We had to order by Russian, but I'm really not good at speaking in Russian. Maybe menu with pictures will be better if there is no buffet breakfast.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: There was nothing to like. Definitely not value for money hotel.
Cons: The room we were given was an attic-storage room. Nothing like the one we had booked. Imagine going to the hotel after a long day when you find out that the room is nothing like you expected. Breakfast was terrible. I always enjoy a good breakfast, but this was the first time I literally couldn't find anything to eat.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, antique interior, breakfast (food), good parking, nice Spa
Cons: NO GOOD COFEE in Hotel area. Next good coffe you will get near Kremlin. Rental bikes are in Bad condition. No Cola Zero available..
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place is located in the heart of Suszdal main tourist attractions. The family room is gorgeous. Much Appreciated as well The indoor pool ans Sauna.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent property in amazing location!
Cons: Pool could be warmer and they shouldn’t ask for swimming caps
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very nice and well maintained hotel.
Cons: Uninspired buffet breakfast in the basement, no windows, no atmosphere in the room and food was just put there. Only disappointment from an otherwise nice stay

7.5 Good
Pros: Surrandings, nature, calmness. Rooms were clean. Long check out
Cons: They charge for everything, even water. This Is not typical for this type of hotel as it’s not cheap to start with. Very thin walls. Staff doesn’t speak English.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - It was an unique experience to stay in an all wooden building (Bashenki House). The room was a log cabin, very spacious and comfortable. -It is a vast, spread out property, very picturesque with many spots for photography. One could spend a day enjoying the various locations and spaces here which also include a lakeside, windmill and a Hollywood film set. Though slightly away from the city centre, it has enough to offer a discerning nature lover.... a longer stay would be very relaxing and rejuvenating. They also have a spa/massage service. - Breakfast is a sumptuous Buffet with a wide spread. The restaurant has a variety of dishes and choice of drinks, all very reasonably priced and remains open till 11 at night
Cons: Nothing to complain about. However, a kettle with coffee/tea/milk/sugar sachets as also an iron with board would be very helpful since the accomodations are in separate buildings, some distance away from the reception and restaurants.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice territory in tradtional russian style. Friendly staff, great breakfast and awesome saunas. If you want a great spa-experience rent a sauna and ask for andrey and galina. They are real professionals and can show everything about russian banyas.
Cons: It is better to rent a good category, budget rooms are quite small.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I recommend everyone to stay in this hotel, location and facilities excellent. Also I’ll say you can minimum stay 2 nights
Cons: No things
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy rustic-style woodlog hotel, rooms smell of wood which is what you need when you get away from the city to enjoy nature. Very warm inside - and we were there for a cold winter weekend. Very clean bathroom. Full buffet breakfast. Sweet and helpful staff. About 15 min walk to the center. Great weekend getaway. Will be back in summer!
Cons: Everything was great!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Haven’t seen anything like this for a long time. Built from wooden logs traditional Russian style decorated rooms made us feel extremely cozy and warm. There are many facilities in the area of hotel including 12 different saunas (which will cost your party about €50 to use one) and a museum where some well known Russian films were filmed. I really recommend to visit it too. You can also feed animals there if you wish.
Cons: The only thing was WiFi signal was pretty weak in our room.
7.9 Good
Pros: the cozy resort environment
Cons: a little bit far from the center but accessible with rent bike
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Grounds were an extra unexpected benefit. Professionally run high level facilty
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very complete and variate. The hotel is perfect to have a quiet rest weekend and nor far from city center (about 15 min walking). It offers some Traditional Russian SPA (sauna and massage with leaves) which are a quite strange experience but interesting to do it.
Cons: NO English speakers. I understand that is a common problem in all Russia, and of course being Suzdal a really tiny city (BUT part of the diamond of the Golden Ring) they should have at least some way to communicate with foreign people. Pictures to describe their different activities and so on.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A great place to stay in Suzdal. The hotel is great, it provides a very relaxing atmosphere. You should check out the sauna. The food is great, really liked my dinner and breakfast. Bonus for the old-school arcades in the lobby! Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, while cell net reception is not very good. On the other hand, just go for digital detox!
Cons: Extend Wi-Fi range, maybe?
