The room was fantastic, good size and clean. Staff were very polite and friendly, were more than accomodating with the trecherous weather over that weekend.
The only adverse comment would be the check in time. I believe 15.00 is too late a check in. I only stayed for the night and feel that by the time we checked in it did not allow much time before the weather faded to explore the glorious surroundings.
Having no phone signal made it nice and peaceful. The food and dinning room staff were excellent.
We were under the impression that there was free wifi. But on arrival found that there is not and we would have to pay a fee to bt online. But this would not stop us returning as we now know.
The friendliness of the staff and their helpful attitude
The hotel is looking a bit "tired" and could do with a makeover in places. Our room for instance was not what we would consider and "executive room". It sets itself out as a 4* luxury hotel but on first glance in some areas this is not what you see. This is in some ways related to the age of the building.
The views were beautiful!! Food in both restaurants was lovely and the spa was so relaxing!!
Spa treatments were a bit expensive.
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful
The lack of mobile signal meant that one of our party had to use the hotel phone to contact her father who wasn hospital. The charges for using theis phone I felt were excessive, considering you had no choice due to lack of mobile signal.
