Fantastic scenery. Great place.
Absolutely beautiful. Clean. Comfortable. Everything there we needed. Sauna was excellent. Gym was great. Music in the Kuhstall was great. Thanks
Good location. Beautiful surroundings. Food was great, even for vegetarian. The mineral museum is very nice and gives the hotel special flair and a very homely feel. Well for and we will be back!
Dinner was especially good (and breakfast) - the twin room exceeded our expectations (two doubles with separate rooms) and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The apres ski in the bar was great
Parking was a little tricky and access to the resort could be tricky, to be fair on confirmation the hotel did say that access was challenging, no issues with a 4x4 but it is narrow and steep (and snowy)
Hands down, the views were the best thing about this place. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and nice. This isn’t always the case in Europe.
Eating dinner in the dining room was like eating in a morgue. They try to pull off fine dining but it comes across as uncomfortable silence. So much so that we didn’t enjoy it. The “bar” is a disused cafeteria that probably fed lots of people sausages and beer in the 80’s and 90’s. Now it is filled with tacky gems and polished stones for sale like a sad tourist trap. Everything looks like it is past it’s glory days and has become a strange warehouse (sorry - “museum”) of minerals and gems. Looks like an owner’s hobby took priority over maintaining a healthy hotel. Bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows were like sacks of old socks and the mattress was spring filled and you can feel each one.
I did not have bathrobes and slippers in room for sauna.
