Beautiful drive into the property from Main Street and the pictures really do not do it justice. We arrived earlier than planned and the room was already prepared for us. The owners were very welcoming and full of local knowledge, having lived in the area for many years. It felt like they were always around if we had any questions or couldn't find anything in the reception guides/maps. The room was cleaned each day and re-stocked with a good range of hot drinks and fresh water. Free wifi was available and a good strength when we used it, although we were out on adventures the majority of our stay. Grassington is a great location to walk straight onto the Dales and towards local towns. The cooked breakfasts were excellent and food was sourced locally. There was a good selection of cereals, dried fruits and pancakes available too. We are hoping to visit again later this year.
There is nothing we would change or do differently and definitely plan to return to Ashfield House.
Comfy bed. Excellent hosts
Beds adapted to our needs. Bareakfasts excellent.
Lovely location, super friendly staff, immaculately clean and a fantastic breakfast. First class customer service.
Check in is quite late in the day, even though parking was available prior to the check in time, it would still be more convenient and better value to be able to check in an hour or two earlier.
Check in was very friendly. Room was small but very comfortable and well laid out. Coffee tea and juice in room was nice. I asked for wine and there was a bottle waiting on ice as asked for. The house is old but lovely and very quirky. The staff were lovely. The free cake was a great touch. The breakfast was probably the best I have had, and I have tried many. You have to try the goose egg.
Only small thing was the shower. No power bit weak, needs better ones.
