Sibiu hotels near Brukenthal National Museum

Pros: Breakfast on the top floor

Pros: Great Hotel and very, very good restaurant. Clean. Great staff. We can recommend this hotel.

Pros: Food was great especially the breakfast but the best was the staff, i have never seen people so kind in a hotel.

Cons: Breakfast was very basic and some items were not fresh at all. The artichoke, for example was definitely expired. The sunny up eggs were displayed one on top of the other looking horrible.

Pros: Great view from the panoramic restaurant on the top floor! Nice spacious rooms. High chairs and baby cots available.

Cons: Service was too long at diner. Blackout curtains do not cover the whole window, so as soon as the sun comes up, you are woken up.

Pros: I liked everything. The twin room we had was very spacious, beds amazingly comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a stunning view of Sibiu from the 11th floor of the hotel

Cons: The fridge was broken. They didn’t bother to fix the problem, in our 2 nights stay. Also the cleaning in room must improve. Between 2-3 nights to stay it is ok.

Cons: The owner gives poor customer service. He made us stay in front of the property with all my luggages for 10-15 min and when someone came told us they don’t have any clean rooms and they need to put us in a hotel. Had to put all my luggages back in the car and drive to that hotel. I spoke with the owner on the phone the day before to confirm our booking and he said everything is ok. When I got in front of the pension I called so someone comes to open the gate for us. The owner answered and he said someone will be there . As mentioned before we waited 10-15 min and called again because no one came to open the gate. Finally someone came from the hotel where they moved us in and told us at the pension they have no clean rooms (they have only one cleaning person in both the pension and hotel) and we need to go to the other hotel. Very frustrating

Pros: The experience at Pensiunea Alexia was a wonderful surprise for me. The hosts were very friendly, the atmosphere was comfortable. Large and clean room (room no 6, at 2nd floor), also the bathroom. Very quite in that area so you can sleep like a baby. You can eat at Hotel Gallant (aprox 250 m from Alexia). Good prices for accommodation, I definitely recommend it

Pros: The staff was wonderful: friendly, helpful. The breakfast was very good and absolutely fresh. It's only a 20-minute walk or a short taxi ride (or drive) from the historic center.

Cons: It's a bit tricky to find the hotel, but it does turn out to be in a good location. (The name of the street listed on booking.com for the address, is slightly different from what's written on the street sign itself.)

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff: At our arrival, the owner picked us up from the railway station at midnight, since there were no buses anymore. Free WIFI, large, clean rooms, large bathroom.

Pros: It´s a modest pension, not particularly charming; the room and bathroom were large and clean and it´s useful the existence of a refrigerator and free wi-fi access in the room. The breakfast is ok. Also near the pension there´s an excellent restaurant of traditional romanian food (which was recomended by a member of the staff) for very good price.

Cons: Unlike we thought, according to most of the reviews we read, the pension is very far from the center, specially the historic one, about 30 or more mins walking, and if by night you have to scroll a good bit of dark paths. So we were not satisfied with the pension´s location, wich seems to be in the surroundings of Sibiu.

Cons: Not so much the fault of the hotel but there were of barking dogs throughout the night and it was the summer so we needed the window open. There is no air-con. Long walk to the centre of town but taxi's are very cheap.

Pros: The staff were amazing, I broke my ankle durning my trip to Romania and stayed here last minute as I couldn’t get up the steps at the air bnb I had booked. The staff went above and beyond to help make our stay more pleasant, they even helped locate a wheelchair to hire so I could get about the town easier.

Pros: Effective but unobtrusive staff, clean rooms, capable restaurant (good solid food, if not gourmet). Excellent location ten minutes walk from the main square. Could be a little noisy outside, but room soundproofing was pretty good. Sibiu is a nice town for a short break, perhaps not for a long stay.

Cons: I had 2 rooms with mountain view. Unfortunately all i saw were the pipes for the air system and the adhesive band on the bottom half of the window. The parking is too small. I had to park on the public space instead of the hotels one. It is not mention in the description that parking is samall and/or paid. The the bed mattress was not so confortable. There were two beds put one next to the other but the mattress was moving a lot

Pros: We arrived after dark, and it was very difficult to find the property as their signage was very small on the building. Plus took a great deal of time to find parking.

Cons: The water ran out whilst I was taking a shower. When they came to check it out, I was told that the water would be back on in an hour or two. I had to use a towel to get the shampoo out of my hair and dry the soap suds off me.

Cons: WiFi information was not made available in the room. I was too exhausted to go back to the reception and get the information. The shower tub was clogged and water was leaking in the back, soaking the nearby toilet area. Vague smell of mould in the bathroom. Breakfast was not included (although for the same kind of reservation at the same property at the beginning of this year it was, so, unlike wine, clearly not getting better with age...)

Cons: With the exception to bed sheets the guesthouse is not very clean. The walls in the room was dirty, bathroom had black fungus.
