Good value for money, as the rates are cheaper for the area. However, the rooms are very small and the walls are very thin. We could clearly hear other occupants in the room next door.
It would have better to allocate smoking areas, as the rooms smelled of smoke which was very unpleasant for a non-smoker
The Location is great and loved the breakfast
The bed was so small
The location is great. Really close to the metro station, lots of cafes and coffee shops around. The room is super small (the smallest I have ever been to) but it's one of the most affordable places. Don't expect a huge room and other amenities for the small amount you are paying. It's a decent room. A very big plus is a fridge in the room and a private bathroom (the last was the must for me). The staff was great, helpful and friendly.
Sometimes there was a smell from the bathroom, so I kept the door closed. May be it's just my room. The walls are also quite thin, you can hear other people.
It looks like someone created the hostel very lovingly decades ago. But that seems to have been decades ago and does not replace regular cleaning.
Never again!!! Cleanliness: the room was totally dirty. Everything was covered with dirt: the floor, the table ... The communal kitchen and the common room in the basement were totally dirty and messy. That was old dirt, not from the last days. That really disgusted me, I could not eat there. Even the drinking water dispenser was dirty on the outside (hopefully not inside). A dirt rag lay for days on the ground next to the water dispenser. Communication: At the door of the room, there are two different details to check out: an older letter says 12 o'clock and a newer one says 11 am plus 10000 won charge per hour after 11 am. Furnishings: Mattress was ancient. You could feel every single feather. The door lock kept jamming. Under the mosquito net, the window had an opening, so that mosquitoes came into the room again and again. Security: When I picked up my stored luggage, the front desk was not occupied. I could just take my bags with me. But everyone else could have done that, too.
It is cheap, so I did not expect much. But it did not pass the most basic requirements. I arrived and they did not have my booking. They helped me stay at a nearby hour-hotel, which was at least something. The next day the room was not ready at 4pm. The bed was wet because they put the sheets on without drying them. The place is pretty messy and dirty everywhere in general. It seems this place is mainly run by volunteers that don't give a damn.
