Strong smell in my room. The shared bathroom has low water pressure. The bathroom is cold.
It’s a historic hotel. I think if you know that going in, it’s a fun place to stay. It’s not super luxurious (tiny shared bathroom, creaky bed, clinking pipes, etc), but was fun to stay a night in. All the weird parts gave it character. It seems like most of the building is original, which is cool. The furnishings were lovely.
The check in process was confusing. I was handed a stack of bookings and told to find mine, which wasn’t in the stack. They then took my credit card info on paper, which didn’t feel super secure, especially because I’d already booked online. Then we bumped into someone later who needed to verify the price I’d gotten online. I rolled with it as I’ve stayed at non-chain hotels before, but the chaotic process bothered my partner.
Comfortable beds. Historic building. Close to train station. Friendly staff.
Needing to wait for the keys to be brought to the building.
Check in process, the room, the bathroom, staff wasn’t bad just the cleanliness and outdated rooms
There was no breakfast served and I still got billed as if we had breakfast
No tv or shower or bathroom in the rooms
