The hotel staff were friendly and greeted guests warmly whenever they saw guests walked past. They were very helpful and attentive when we needed to park our rental car at the hotel. The overall service was impressive.
The desk was small and not much other space to boil water etc. The small clock’s alarm not working. Bottled water was given only on the 3rd and 4th day. Initially we thought no bottled water given was part of green environment, so we went to buy bottled water.
Breakfast queue and room was very tight
1) Courteous staff, efficient and spacious restaurant (dinner, breakfast) 2) Grand Onsen/Baths with many different treatments 2) Proximity to places of interest, eg, Hell Valley, etc
The croissants and other food at the breakfast buffet were good. The bed was comfortable.
A concierge counter to assist guests e.g. with matters related to local attractions.
Rooms are fairly small for a traditional hotel (i.e. not a "business hotel"), but amenities were intact. Location is conveniently near to Sapporo Station, where there are lots of shops and eateries. There is a Lawsons and 7-Eleven nearby, and a Seicomart attached to the hotel premises. The room had a pillow menu, pyjamas were provided (we stayed 4 nights and PJs were given only on the first two nights. No idea why they stopped supplying us). They even provided steam eye masks to help you sleep. Overall, rooms were clean. We asked the staff to help us make a reservation at a restaurant, which they were unable to (through no fault of theirs), but they were very helpful in giving alternative suggestions. Best part is, there is an airport coach to New Chitose Airport that stops right outside the hotel. It's the first pick up point on the way to the airport, so there is no issue with getting a seat.
