“The breakfast has improved since our last stay (there is now a toaster available and more options like yoghurt plus fresh fruit to be added as well as a salad bar). There is a variety of noodles and hot Chinese dishes and even if some dishes run out, they are usually refilled quite quickly. There is a beachfront restaurant and a grocery store on the hotel premises, a new restaurant is due to open soon according to one of unfortunately very few English-speaking staff (Sophie - big thanks to her for handling our questions during our stay!). We wanted to change rooms to be closer to the pool and another English-speaking member of staff, Guo, was very helpful and made it possible. I wish more staff, especially those at the reception desk could speak English, but most of them were very friendly and helpful (e.g. the life guards at the pool and at the beach who even played ball with our kids).”

“This isn't the first time that we stayed at the South China Hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it again. The location directly on the beach is absolutely unbeatable and unique for Dadonghai. The hotel offers various facilities like a big swimming pool, a small kid's playroom, a volleyball net on the beach as well as a grocery store, a spa and a beachfront restaurant. It's especially great for families with children. Of course there are always a few things that could be improved, but on the whole the hotel is highly recommended.”
