Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful site, comfortable rooms.
Old and poorly maintained
The pipe to the shower head blew up as I was showing. A very bad experience. They did give me a new Ron, with a working shower. However, the mattress was old and crooked and you couldn’t cover all the window so I had a lamp lap from the outside when I went to bad at midnight and sun in my room at 7:00. So I didn’t sleep very well
A taste of home.
After spending a few days in a tradional style hotel, it was so nice to stay at a B&B. The boutique atmosphere makes you feel right at home. As soon as we arrived there was a social hour where couples were enjoying wine and cheese and a glass of wine on one of the shaded decks. We checked in and were immediately offered homemade cookies. The staff was very friendly, the room we stayed in had character and was exceptionally clean. My daughter was exhausted from all the traveling and whenever she walked into the bathroom and saw a rubber duck on the edge of the tub, she seemed at peace. I ran her a bath and she played with the duck and went to bed. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night.
The skylight over the bed lit up the room too early in the morning. They really need to find a way to block out the light. Also, we needed to use the pullout couch, and it was very uncomfortable. Saying that, we would most likely find a different room within the B&B, as we really enjoyed or stay. They did an exceptional job creating a cozy ambiance. It reinforced that we should always book B&B's when traveling.
