Hotel San Sebastian

Breakfast was good and the friendliest staff out of the whole team. The rooms were clean but outdated for my taste. The location is a good 2km walk from the city in a nice quiet residential area. If you are out on a Friday night, be prepared to walk back as getting a taxi at night (after 12 am) is very difficult. I didn't mind walking back with a friend, however. The weather was great, and San Sebastian is a beautiful city.

Front desk staff was extremely rude when I checked into the property which was not appreciated after such a long journey. The hotels manager however was kind, and made up for the lack of professionalism of his staff by the end of my stay. No iron or ironing board in the room so I ended up having to pay an extra 50 Euro just to iron my dresses and one shirt which was not expected for a four-star property. My room was small and extremely dark. The rooms and corridors need to be renovated for a more uplifting experience. As a lighting designer, the entire hotel needs a lighting renovation. That alone would help the ambience a lot.
