A terrific hostel experience. If you like cooking your own meals - you’ll find their huge kitchen spotless and first rate. The nearby Safeway Grocery Store is first rate.

Pros (+) In addition to all of the necessities, there were many fun/comfort factors (really comfy bedding, great internet availability, indoor and outdoor lounges that capitalize on the beautiful views of San Francisco Bay). Easy walk to everything fun around Ghirardelli Square and Aquatic Park.

Pros (+) Loved the view of Alcatraz, the GGBridge to the west, parklike setting all around, marinas within an easy walk, on site cafe (separate from hostel kitchen & breakfast), very nice staff.
Cons (-) Bathrooms & showers could use an update.

Pros (+) Great location, great view of Alcatraz and GG Bridge, easy walk to marinas, parks, public transportation and sights, nice cafe on site.
Cons (-) Fog horn woke us during the night but it's SF in the summer, so fog is inevitable. Bathrooms could use an update.
