I was weary due to the low cost but I was pleasantly surprised at how great Chelsea Inn actually is! It’s in a great location. We stayed here to attend a concert at the new Chase Center. It was quick and easy to get an Uber/Lyft to the location. Also, every person I spoke with at the front desk was super helpful and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff was also very nice. The room was very clean and large although the full bed felt more like a wider twin but still comfortable. I definitely will book Chelsea Inn for my next visit to San Francisco!
As mentioned above, the size of the beds.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and clean. They did offer free parking also which is great.
The hotel is extremely dated and need a general refresh. The room we were in was extremely noisy and you could hear the road outside from about 5am onwards as it is a main road and there was also road works taking place. No breakfast is offered onsite either but there are a local cafes etc that are very close. I would recommend just because of location but they do need a revamp.
Great location, close to bus stops into town and the main hop-on/hop/off stop was right outside. Easy to walk to Fishermans wharf area if wanted. No breakfast at hotel but plenty of place within a couple of minutes walk to eat at
Nothing, this is exactly as described and expected
The location was great, the marina is a lovely district.
There is quite a lot of road noise and no fridge in the room.
Grade experience from check in until check out. Traveling alone and felt very save here. Staff were all very friendly. Room was very big and very clean. Bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. I had a room at the back and heard very little noise from outside or other guests. Great sleep every night. Brilliant location. I walked to the sea front each day and walk back easily in the evening. Loads of fab restaurants around and a Wallgreens. Big Bus Hop on hop off bus stops just a few feet from the hotel, amazing for days I was using the bus. Amazing time in San Francisco and the hotel was a big contribution to that.
Toiletries were made in China. Local companies would be nice. Vending machine only did drinks, snacks would be great to have too, esp arriving in late.
Chelsea Inn, located on the famous Lombard St. in San Francisco could be an ideal place to stay for those guests who want to explore and experience everything the city has to offer.
