Breakfast was excellent!
Not much of an option for lunch/dinner.
The restaurant was very good. The food and the service as well. Also the view to the lake was very nice. The staff was friendly but poorly trained. The location is very good. It's just 2 km from the center which could be considered as a walking distance.
Definitely this is not a five star hotel. The staff were poorly trained, the overall facilities were old and outdated. The gym was very poor and old. The breakfast was poor as well. I defiantly would not recommend.
The location is awesome. Most of the things you want to do in the national park are within an easy half hour commute: Mountain climbing, hiking, horseback riding, sightseeing. Candidly, you do not want to stay in downtown Bariloche. I was warned by the rental car folks, travel agency, and the front desk that if you leave anything in your car around downtown it will be broken into. This hotel is about two miles out of town so the chemically addicted underclass that robs for money for their drugs aren't so much of an issue. Breakfast is stellar. There's a wide selection of delicious food. On three days we went at 0830 when the crowds were light. The last day we went at 0930 and it was pandemonium, almost more people than chairs so crowds were milling, some people moved tables into walking lanes to obstruct it... That was the Friday before Easter so I suspect the hotel was at peak capacity.
You can forget the hotel marketing about the hot tub. The first day we saw it was empty and got in it and were promptly thrown out. Apparently it's by reservation only, and for the four days we were there were zero availabilities. We'd been hiking all day and it would have been nice. Get a room on the frontside if you can influence it. Last time I was here we enjoyed a beautiful vista across the lake. This time the backside view was of the foliated steep escarpment behind the hotel. Beware that the price will go up some. The town compels an "Ecotasa" tax upon visitors, akin to a resort tax. I think all hotels in Bariloche have this. It's a few more dollars, but I just dislike being nickel and dimed when led to believe there was full disclosure. I will try to include a photo of the tax flyer, view out the back and view out the front.
This is an all a round great place to stay. The staff were great, room was excellent!
Breakfast was great but the scrambled eggs have a lot to be desired :-)
The natural surrroundings are perfect and the hotel is totally professional.
