Not much for the price.
When I arrived to the room it was a perfect temperature and though there is no bell boy, one of the workers was kind enough to take my luggage to my room, as the lift was quite small. I was very surprised to find a box of chocolate left for me as it was my birthday ( I mentioned it when I called them as I did not go to town to celebrate, so they were very kind). The facility itself has no restaurant or bar on site, but the location is wonderful, few minutes from the railroad station, steps from the sea and just on the corner of the pedestrian area where there is plenty of food and lots of mid to higher end shopping for everything, as well as small eateries. Great for who wants to travel light and buy new clothes :) as well as fun for window watching. Also convenient for those who want to arrange one day bus tour to the Amalfi Coast or even walk to the old town (it's worth it) and see the old Duomo. The owners of the Tabacchi store at the railroad station seemed to be very knowledgable as far as what tickets to get. I realized that Salerno can be very windy, so it is a good idea to bring along a scarf of sort.
Minus for noise and lack of personnel. Also, the breakfast wasn't the greatest. Just across the street I found a wonderful coffee place with fresh pastries that would have been much better. The staff did not seem very informed about amenities in the areas, but I ended up finding a Spanish restaurant and had a great burger (was really missing it!). The bed was comfortable, but nothings special. The noise from the street was noticeable, but it was over by 8 or 9 pm. The room was large enough, but no real work table. I had to make sure to ask for a coffe/tea maker prior to arrival, as they did not have one and the fridge was poorly stocked. There is a little grocery store in the pedestrian strip where one can buy milk or wine, bread and everything else needed for a sandwich and more should they want to take something to eat in the room as the hotel does not provide food service. Breakfast can be ordered in the room the night before. There is no cable tv, for the solo travelers who prefer to stay in at night. Just enjoy your free wifi.
Good service and very clean Very close to station and shops
Room very small and bed uncomfortable.
We didn't want to drive in Italy so the location of the hotel was important for us so we could make the most of our stay. This hotel has an excellent location .. across from the train station and bus terminal. Also it is 5 mins walk to the port for ferry connections to the Amalfi coast & Capri. Our room looked out onto the main square in front of the train station but there was no issue with noise even though it was busy outside most evenings. The room was comfortable , clean & had air-conditioning as well as a ceiling fan. Hotel is located on the main street so great for boutique shopping and some very nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast was excellent - cold cuts , fresh crusty rolls, juice, coffee, cereal, yoghurt, sweet pastries, croissants, boiled eggs, fruit. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Great stay...
Breakfast was very good and the hotel's location across from the train station was excellent. The bus station and ferry port were very nearby also. The hotel was very modern, clean and newly redecorated. Outside the hotel entrance is a pedestrian-only street with stores and restaurants. It was wonderful.
Nothing. Everything was great.
